Elisabetta looked up at the Christmas tree in awe. It had to be the biggest tree in the world! The Lust spawn turned to her baby sitter for the day and squeeled, "LOOK!" Her dress swayed around her knees cutely as her tentacles tugged on the cardigan. Moose had dressed her warmly, but not enough to bug the child, though it seemed her tentacles would never be satisfied. Her hair was pulled back in a single ponytails with all four halos around the band.

"I've never seen Santa before, Vinny." She admitted, smiling up at him as she reached for his hand. "Thanks for bringing me!"

Vincent had been extremely pleased to learn that he would be babysitting for Elisabetta today. She was a friend of his, and of his sisters. "You know, I've only seen Santa once," the teenager admitted sheepishly. "When I was a toddler," he said, taking her hand. That one time had been enough to convince Vincent that Santa Claus was the greatest man in all the universe--yes, the teenager still believed in him. Anyone who gave presents to him was amoung the great, it the selfishness that was his greed side. It was nice to get away from his siblings for a while, and be with a friend. He found that he honestly enjoyed Lissy's company.

"We can go see him together," he added with a smile. "And have a picture taken. I bet your mom would like that, huh? We can get two copies, one for yours, and one for mine." He knew his mother would want one. He looked up at the Christmas tree, and smiled. "The angel on top reminds me of you," he commented. It did, too, with the halo.

Lissy was glad that she could count Vincent as one of her best friends. She didn't have many and everyone was vying for the top spot in her mind, but he was definately up there. "Really? Just once? Are you only allowed to wish once every coupl'a years?" She panicked, stretching up on her feet to look at the tree. As high as she was she couldn't see the jolly bringer. What if her wish wasn't good enough? Was it going to count, since it wasn't for a toy?

Her heart tightened. "She'd love it." Lissy said softly, smiling even if she didn't feel it. "We can pick out frames for them and give them as gifts." She looked up at his comment, then turned to the angel. "How? She's got blonde hair. All angels have blonde hair and mine's black."

Vincent shook his head. "I know I look a lot older than I am," he started, "but really, I'm actually only a year old. That's why I've only seen Santa once. I'm sure you can make Christmas wishes every year, though. My dad was--" he paused, and looked to his friend, not wanting to destroy her faith in Santa. He knew Santa existed; Ben had explained to him that other people played Santa to help him, because he couldn't go to all the malls at once.

"My dad's one of Santa's helpers," he decided with a smile. "Yeah, we can have the pictures framed and everything." He didn't notice her unease, or he wouldn't have continued. "My mom says she wants to see yours again soon; maybe you can come hang out with Sammi and Reiya and me." He paused, and shook his head. "My mom says angels come in every shape, size and color, just like people do. And I think you're an angel."

Lissy smiled and grasped his hand with both of hers. Her dual colored eyes stayed locked on the tree. She'd never seen anything so beautiful in her entire life. "Good. So next year I can come back with you and the year after that and the one after that. We'll make a date of it."

She turned back to him in a flash. The spawn simply stuttered as the line moved further up and when they settled again, she stood on her tip toes. "Is he really? I thought your mom was, cuz she's an elf." Maybe they were both in cahoots with the big man. Still, her sadness wasn't gone and his words stung. She pulled back to the red rope and wrapped her tentacles around it while she kicked at the floor with her shoes. "Angels only do good things. I'm not an angel cuz I let mommy leave." Lissy whispered with a sniffle. "We can't play anymore, Vinny. Not with her. She...she's dead."
