Ianna seemed tired. Not only had she gone to find the Atlantis wand, Matilda had bothered her not three days later to find yet another wand. And she had had to go to JAPAN! At least it wasn't under the sea or to the moon this time. At least she actually had OXYGEN this time without half dying.
She was busily searching through the book of Life and Death, silver eyes glazed over as if she were just running through the motions. Which, mostly, she was. She could see no new wand sightings for a while, but then again, Matty rarely updated the damned book anyway.
Beside her lay two wands, or more so, a staff and a trident. Still wands, according to Matty...but Matty's definition of things was kind of skewed with her being in another realm and all. She wondered if any owner would come in today, and which wand they would take home.
She sighed a deep sigh and closed the book, which had a tendancy to slam shut and scatter papers and dust. "Stupid book." she muttered.

Eamane was wondering the streets again, she had a day off and had no idea what to do with herself. She definately appreciated Az taking the children but it left her wih nothing to do...which often ended up with more children in the house. You'd think the man would learn, but no.
The little elf pushed a strand of hair behind her pointed ear and peered up at the building her feet had stopped at. They had a habit of doing that. She made her way inside and blinked at the sudden change of light. A few moments later her sight adjusted and she looked around. The shop was tiny and sorta dark and dusty...but comfortable at the same time. "Hello?" her voice sounded loud in the stillness.

Ianna looked up from her work and coughed. A person. An...elf Person! Oooo! Maybe that was...She felt a mental kick from Matty.
"THAT is a guardian. I don't know which one though...I can't get a reading. You'll have to give her a test, or something..."
Ianna sighed. "I'm not stupid, Matty." the woman seemed to talk to herself. She looked over to Eamane again. "Hello! Welcome to Ghosts of the Past. Please come up to the desk...I've been expecting you..." she paused, waiting for Matilda to give her the name
"Eamane. That is your name, is it not?" she smiled almost too sweetly, as if she had a secret she just couldn't wait to share. "And close the door behind you...Matilda said you're going to let the cold out."

Eamane blinked again as a woman's head came into view and she offered a cheerful smile, which only wavered momentarily at the mention of her name and the person that was appearently invisible and silent.
She did as she was asked and closed the door. Her smile was a bit nervous though as she approached the stranger's desk. She kept her hands inside the sleeves of her kimono, "Yes, I am Eamane...but I'm afraid I do not know who you are" The elf bit her lip and looked at Ianna expectantly

Ianna gave a little laugh. "The name is Ianna Umbridge, M'lady." she spoke, bustling around some papers until she picked up the large leather bound book which looked as if it were several centuries old. Which is actually probably was...it looked as if it had that much dust on it, in either case.
"Aha! Found you." she murmured, tapping the cover. "Can I ask you to place your hands on this book please?"
The moment Eamane would touch it, the book would spring open, light up, and the pages would fly as if there were invisible winds brushing at the paper. It would then land on the page with a sketch of a beautifully made trident. Below that would be beautiful scrawl reading:
"Atlantis. Wand ID 00001. A Soul has been trapped within the confines of the wand. Congratulations, you have become the next guardian to take on the task of raising it from infancy to greatness. We, Ianna and I, have the upmost faith in you to complete your task dutifully. Best of luck,
Matilda."
Ianna almost clapped in delight. The selkie had found a home, eh? Goodie. Now only to find that Japanese thing a home. The silvery eyed and silvery haired woman gazed expectantly at Eamane for her reaction to what she saw and read.

Eamane giggled softly, it had been a few years since anyone had called her that. "Ianna," she repeated the name to lock it into her memory. For some reason she had a feeling it would be good thing to do. Suddenly presented with the book (or at least suddenly to her mind as she had been lost in her thoughts for a few moment) she seemed a bit dazed. But the instructions eventually intruded on her awarness and gently she lay a hand on the book cover.
She gaped as it opened and she looked at the pretty picture. "it's beautiful" she murmurred as her eyes moved to read the text. She felt a pit in her stomach. Oh this wasn't going to over well at home! Perhaps now Az wouldn't leave her free time to spend finding more babies, the thought made her happy and she giggled with delight. She did so love babies.

The giggling slightly annoyed Ianna...but then, Ianna wasn't used to giggling. She was used to the mad cackling in her head done by Matilda. Or the whining and begging. She was used to that too.
Oh, but the the Moon-Wand guardian's reaction was awesome. Why couldn't Eamane be more...freaked out by this? Ianna did so like freak outs.
Ianna reached over and grabbed at the Trident beside her, glittering with seven sapphires and dripping with seaweed she hadn't been able to pry off. It was even more beautiful in reality, it seemed, glittering with gold in the filtered light.
"Here's your baby." she murmured. The moment Eamane would touch the wand and take it into her hands, it would glow with a faint blue light, all the way down to the end of the wand from the very sharp tips. It was activated.

Now was Eamane's time to freak out a little, a very little mind you, elves were supposed to be dignified or something like that. She tilted her head to the side as she surveyed the trident, it looked very much like the picture but shinier! She reached out and clasped the long handle and almost dropped it as it began to glow. Eamane swore under her breath and tried to calm herself. "is it supposed to do that?" she asked

Ianna gave a slightly insane giggle and nodded her head. "Yes, it means that your baby just came to life and you're now responsible for it. It's your job to see that it doesn't die and emerges into a proper ghost. And then, it's your job to love it until it becomes flesh and blood."
Ianna shrugged. "Just need to basically make sure it doesn't get sucked up by a vacuum or something..."

Eamane nodded to show she understood. Her smile returned at the mention of vacume cleaners. "that sould be safe...we only have hardwood floors" she giggled again, a surprisingly girlish sound. She turned to leave and then paused as she slowed faced Ianna again "is it alright to come back here if I have questions or problems?"

Ianna was slightly surprised that the woman hadn't asked how a soul was trapped and why exactly she was chosen. The other woman had. Ianna just shrugged her shoulders and yawned lazily, taking a roster and writing in the name of the guardian and wand.
"Sure, but uh...Press this." she slid a sheet of paper over to her, written upon it was gold letters saying "Press Me". As soon as Eamane would, she was transported into a large room. As she entered the main lobby Via the portal connecting the shoppe and the headquarters, the first thing she would notice is the vast...largeness...of it. The high ceilings, edged with gold, the large chandeliers dripping with crystals, the smooth white tile-floors, colorful rugs, and beautiful paintings.
To the left was a large recreational area complete with a large flat-screen television, several rows of various games, movies, video game systems and books. There was a basket of toys in the corner, full of plushies, dolls, cards and various other objects which would appeal to most ages. Included in the area were several comfy looking couches and plush chairs just made for sitting, lounging or bouncing in. It seemed to be heaven on a fluffy carpet. It even had a foos-ball table and an air-hockey table....and for the slightly more food-minded GoTP, a mini fridge always full.
To the right was a large elaborate counter, which seemed to have a force-field of some sort around it, keeping anyone who was not Ianna or Matilda from going behind it. On the counter lay a roster with the names of all the Ghostly children and their guardians, and an appointment book.
From there, it branched off into halls with rows and rows of rooms. Some were storage, some were guest rooms, some were bathrooms, and one very large and ornate door to the end of the hall led to the gardens. "Welcome to Headquarters, Eamane. You're welcome here at any time."

Eamane was a care free soul, as long as she had someone to mother she didn't really ask to many question unless something out of the ordinary happened. Apparently a child coming from a wand didn't qualify as unusual at the moment.
She reached forward a bit more confident now and pressed the seal, when the room stopped moving she looked around curiously. She almost fell over. The little elf had been in many head quarters in her life but this was definately the strangest mode of transportation to get there. She looked at Ianna with wide eyes. "What's going on here?" she paused, her thoughts racing as she began to analize things. "How did you know my name down there...and how did that book now my name?" Her voice was quiet, almost as though the questions were aimed at herself.

Ianna nodded her head. "Well, dear. Matilda sees things....she's my daughter, you see. You can't see her though, she's not in this realm...but she's the one who cast the spell which trapped the selkie soul in that wand." she pointed to the trident.
"She knows who the guardians are supposed to be before they even know they're to be guardians. And you got here by a portal...there's an easier way to get here, which is a perma-portal drafted into a door that leads here and to the shoppe...but this is so much more fun!" she smirked. "At least, for the new ones. That's the only time you'll use the paper port."

Eamane nodded as though she understood, "Oh, I see" she grinned while secretly thinking the woman should probably see a doctor about the voices in her head. She was about to commment again when the rest of what Ianna said trickled into her mind "Selkie? What's a selkie?..." she almost sighed, this meant more research did it.
The elf craned her neck round the woman and nodded at the door. "got it...that will probably be more convienent though less fun." she giggled and shifted her grip on the wand.

Ianna groaned. Who didn't know what a Selkie was? She frowned a little bit and moved behind the counter, which was already strewn with papers and the like. Finding a book, she snapped it up and handed it out to the elf.
"A book all about Selkies. You'll need it. But the short version is they're a seal people who shed their skins to become human."
