I am proud of this, considering I've only colored my pictures twice before and I used sharpie, gel pen, and highlighter. I'm not as proud of the paws but thats ok.

I'm going to move this to Fan Art, since this is Amaterasu from Okami/Chibi Ammy from that new Okami game for the DS.
It's a good start, especially if you're new to drawing animals.
From how Ammy's posed, it seems like she's climbing down something, but there isn't anything there. If I were you, I'd either draw some sort of suggestion that she is climbing, or reconsider the entire pose. The anatomy is a tad wonky, mainly that hind leg, but I can't give you much beyond that because my animal anatomy knowledge is also not very strong.
The best way to practice drawing animals is to, well, draw animals! Try going to a zoo or a pet park with your sketchbook and draw the animals. You'll get a better feel of their anatomy, and also brush up on drawing quickly and effectively.
All in all, nice effort, but if you're not proud of your work, post something you are proud of!

Ok, no problem. I am proud of her, just not her paws. Well she is a goddess so I figured that she could climb down anything, lol. I will work on the hind legs. And your right, I should go sketch the things in the park.
