It was a new place, these lands under Azizi's feet. He was careful to avoid the pride lands themselves, though, as he only knew what troubles that could bring him. Instead he lingered, gently caressing the edges of the lands with his paws, almost dancing along the border itself. It was a fun little game, but lonely, prancing around, avoiding those that would only bring trouble to him. He almost wanted someone else with him, but he was certain that few would be willing to stand for his......estranged personality. It couldn't hurt to look for someone else, though, could it?
His tail flicked, and he felt devilishly suave, slinking along in broad daylight. He was feeling good today, and rather mellow. He owed it to a recent little....dispute he had with a traveling canine. It wasn't being kind, and Azizi, well, wasn't in the mood for it. His multi-colored eyes glanced down at his paws, analyzing his cleaning job of them. They sparkled magnificently, after hours of grooming. No one would ever guess that he'd ever dirtied them. He re-focused his attention ahead, almost hoping that someone would cross the horizon, and hopefully, be someone he liked.

Chura had grown into the marvelous adult Aailyah, their mother, had always dreamed he would become. He was gentle, kind and was willing to accept his responsibilities for the growing group of cheetahs. It was time to pass the status of leader on to the heir and the coalition was alive with activity. While Safiya smiled in the company of her family something was eating her on the inside. Chura doesn't even really WANT to be heir! She thought to herself, cheeks flushing red at the idea of being jealous of her brother. She had always stepped up when no one else would and volunteered her time and energy for the group. She did not need to be told what to do and was filled with incredible ideas she believed would only benefit the Duma'Chama.
Distancing herself from the excitement and venturing towards the border, Safiya decided it would be best to get a bit of fresh air. Perhaps Zikomo, one of the guards by the borders, could tell her a story to take her mind off of things. Jealousy didn't suit Safiya and she felt tremendous amounts of guilt for not happily accepting the change. She was typically such a chipper cheetah. Perhaps it was just these new hormones that came with being an adult?
As she slinked through the crowds and quietly made her way farther and farther, Safiya kept an eye on her target, the brililant ring of orange-colored flowers that surrounded their lands territory. It was always such a beautiful site and one that reminded her of the stories her mother told her about when their land was first founded. As Safiya padded along, still watching the flowers, she didn't notice the site of a dark male lingering nearby.

Something about this new place seemed to remind Azizi of his home lands from cubhood. It was a gorgeous place, and the air seemed to be calmer than that of the open savannah. An added bonus was that he hadn't seen a single lion for quite some time, and that always put Azizi in a better mood. As his eyes glanced around, he felt a gentle tug on his heart; he wouldn't admit that he felt badly about how he treated that cheetah from the previous day, but it was true that Azizi had changed, and his heart wasn't as mean as it used to be. That didn't mean that he didn't like being mean most of the time, but sometimes he just wished that there was someone out there that could sooth his soul and perhaps reel him in.
As his eyes groomed the grasslands before him, the dark cheetah focused in on something; it was a white figure, opposite of him, and it seemed to beautifully slink through the grass towards him. She was tantalizing, and for once, Azizi thought that maybe he'd approach another cheetah. It had been awhile, not since his days of the courting ritual in his home land. His parents had made such a huge deal about the whole affair, and it was one of the main reasons why Azizi had left in the first place. He had just needed to get away from the strict high-society that he was born and raised in.
Trotting forward, Azizi tried to tuck away his menacing self, wanting to make a good impression this time "Bonjour, madmoiselle." He accent soaked his deep voice, but he was making an attempt this time, and that was better then nothing.

The sounds of laughter and happiness from the coalition land's became quiet as Safiya continued to increase the distance between herself and her growing family. Despite the quiet around her, her mind echoed her thoughts and it seemed no matter how far she travelled, the noise wouldn't stop. Looking down towards her paws as she walked, Safiya didn't notice the dark male approaching her. She was caught up in her personal troubles and not paying mind to where she walked. His deep, accented voice, however, was enough to catch her attention and remind her that she was not actually alone.
"Oh!" Her head popped up from the ground with wide eyes, her cheeks pink from embarassment. Her mother had raised her to be careful of her surroundings, but in the safety of the coalition's borders she often forgot these directions. Pausing where she was, the pale colored female gathered herself and eyed the male from the corners of her eyes. He didn't look like anyone she had seen before and while the group was growing steadily, she was certain she knew everyone who called themselves a member.
Dipping both her front paws and head, Safiya repeated formalities taught to her older brother. "Welcome brother, I am Safiya. Is there something I may assist you with?" Her voice was gentle, but formal. While she kept her head low in respect, her curious eyes continued to look this new male over.

(( Sorry this took so long. ;n; I had it in my head that I had replied to this. D8 ))
Brother? Azizi hadn't been called that in quite some time. In fact, he could only remember his little sister ever calling him that. "Uhm. No, I don't think I need...assistance. I was just..." Looking into her pink eyes, there was a certain familiar air to her, but Azizi just brushed it off. He was out in the open lands again, so he needn't think about things from the past.
"I suppose I just stumbled upon this place." He grinned, his white teeth almost glowing against his black fur. "But if you really want to help me, then you can stay here with me and keep me company." Leaning down, it took a good deal of restraint to keep from stroking her face- a 'move' he had learned from his father.
"Unless....you have something else to do, madmoiselle." Looking at her with a fairly smug look, Azizi wouldn't let her get back to anything even if she did have something else to do. He was lonely, and some company was the one thing he was pretty desperate for.
