Personality: Aliena is a very restless taur. A bit of a wild child, she is always in motion, always up to something. She wants to try everything, have every experience she possibly can before she dies. Her philosophy is that you only have one life to live, so you had better make it count.
Having grown up with no siblings and having hit the road at a young age, her social skills are a bit lacking. She my come off as a bit aloof sometimes, but she really doesn't mean anything by it. And she has always been rather oblivious to any attempts at flirtation... She never thought she'd be ready to settle down. She wasn't ready to have children either, but she's doing her best to be a good mom.
Now that her two children are grown up and she's spent years on the road, she's starting to feel lonely. The call of adventure still has a firm grip on her, but she has reluctantly admitted to herself that she really wants someone to share it with.
History: She was on only child with a fairly normal, happy background. During her travels, she met a handsome stallion named Herne and spent the night with him. She never saw him again after that night, but the consequences lasted much longer; he fathered her two children, Neith and Andy.

Personality: Heath was your typical tall, dark and mysterious kind of guy. A very silent taur, but very polite and courteous; he enjoys his solitude. Not that he doesn't like other taur, he just has very limited social skills and when interacting with others he never knows what to say. Even so, he has a hidden soft spot for children. He just prefers being alone in the forest, hunting; it's just where he's most comfortable.
History: Heath was born into a nomadic herd of Cervitaurs. Having been raised in the wilderness, he knows the forest and it's secrets better than your average taur. Unfortunately, when he was an adolescent, his clan was destroyed and he has been on his own ever since.
Now he's made friends and moved in with Avalon Bluegrove and the two are now a couple. He's become a little more social, especially around Avalon, but he still love the outdoors and being alone from time to time.

She loves teaching and playing with children and she loves her children more than anything.
History: She has lived a fairly normal life, it's had it's ups and downs, but she has never known any kind of tragedy. Having spent her whole life thus far with family, she is a very pack-oriented taur. Personality: Melusine learned at a very young age that the best way to learn anything is to stay silent and observe. It's not that she can't talk, it's just that she'd rather not. When she does open her mouth it is usually to ask a question. She loves to watch the happenings around her and learn from them. Even at such a young age, she tries to separate herself from her feelings so she can observe them too.
She's a cool, level-headed thinker.
History: Melusine's egg was found by a female foxtaur who liked to take in orphans and street kids and teach them how to steal and con. She'd then make the kids work for her in exchange for food and a roof over their heads. Unfortunately, the food was mealy bread and rancid meat and the roof was little more than a leaky hut in the slums.
This was all Melusine knew until Prince Nahuat took her under his wing. He saved her, he taught her how to read and write, he gave her a people to belong to, he gave her something to live for. She is extremely loyal to him.

Personality: Andy's a very curious and outgoing guy, even to the point of being a little cocky and something of a ladies man. Despite the 'ladies man' persona, he's certainly not a heart-breaker, at least not intentionally. He loves women, every single one he meets, really and truly. He's just not ready to settle down with one yet. He's an oddly perfect mix of womanizer and gentleman. Whatever else he may be with them, Andy is always polite and courteous with women; really the only people he has little regard for is his lovers' fathers.
He shares his mother's sense of wonder for the world and her desire to try new things. His mother and sister mean more to him than anything in the world and is extremely protective of them, particularly his twin sister. Neith is small (even as an adult) and very susceptible to illness, so he feels he has to protect and dote on her.
History: Andy was born and lives on the road with his mother and sister. His mom goes wherever the wind takes her and as a child, Andy followed happily. Now he's determined to strike own on his own. His father is Herne Anybright, but they've never met.

Personality: Before the raid, Nebt-Het was a bright young taur who loved to laugh and learn and sing. Now she is silent and somewhat withdrawn. However hurt and insecure she is over her past, she hates to be pitied or treated differently. She's the type of person who's as tough as nails on the outside, but inside is very sensitive.
History: Nebt-Het was in training to become the history keeper of her village when it was attacked. This meant that it was her duty to learn all of the stories and songs that tell the history of not only her village, but of all the isles. When she came of age, she would have been tasked with keeping the town's library and teaching the next generation of young 'taurs. Unfortunately, her town was raided and in the skirmish, she was assaulted and her tongue cut out, physically and emotionally scarring her and ending any dreams she might have had of being a storyteller. Her small family and many of her friends were also killed in the raid. Not long after that, with nothing left in the town to keep her there, Nebt-Het left and never looked back. She now lives in a small town and works as a scribe and book keeper.

Personality: Celio is a very laid-back, fun-loving, friendly guy. His family and friends are the most important things in the world to him. He likes to watch and interact with people and he's a great listener. He loves his job as a bartender because it involves his favorite things; serving people, chatting them up and generally being wicked awesome. He doesn't even mind the bar fights he has to break up... he might even like them a little. One day he hopes to own his own tavern.
History: Celio's parents were killed in a raid on their village by bandits and he saw his mother cut down trying to defend him. To this day he sometimes has nightmares about it, but he doesn't tall anyone. After the attack, he wandered for days through the forest until he was found by Avalon Bluegrove. She took him in and brought him home to her mate, Heath and the two raised him as though he were their own.

Personality: Nagini was a sweet, doe-eyed little child, but his upbringing as the only four-legger in a camp full of anti-taur naga largely stamped out his wide-eyed innocence. However, Melusine and Nahuat were never unkind to him and this fostered the boy's loyalty and natural kindness. This innate friendliness is tempered only toward other naga (as he considers himself to be one) and even though he has never met one, he has been conditioned to hate other four-leggers. Like his mentor and adopted mother Melusine, he is very loyal to Prince Nahuat.
History: Nagini is one of three sons born to Oona Frostglove after an encounter with an... interesting (to say the least) buck. Oona, not being the motherly type, left the three boys with their father, Leigh, never knowing how unstable and unfit to be a parent he was. It's not that he didn't love them, he adored them, but he just wasn't good father material and one fateful day he left the young boys, to young to even have names yet, to go find food. Two of the boys wandered off, their tiny hooves taking the first steps into an uncertain future.
Little Nagini was the first to leave the cave and was found by the most unlikely of characters; the great naga prince, Nahuat. The young boy might have been left to die in the snow had it not been for a half-promise made by Nahuat to his charge, Melusine. The Prince took the baby back to his camp to be cared for by Melusine, who has resolved to raise the boy as she would a naga; to live his life in service to his Prince Nahuat.
