No way to challenge the accuracy or honesty of somebody doing the counting in a case like that? Orly? Were that truly so (and something tells me it isn't) I'd say that's reason to call for adding such a procedure, or perhaps better yet, doing away with non-recorded votes.

Oh boohoo, the government did something it maybe shouldn't have. Oh, wait - its the government, of course they did something they weren't supposed to. wahmbulance
Oh and as for that whole democracy thing, we don't have one, we have a republic. A pretty bad one to, all things considered.

Actually, that is a good thing to mention still, we are supposed to be a constitutional republic, not a democracy. We don't want a flat out tyranny of the majority which can just completely freely with no restraint run over the rights of the fewer.
