Szad's eyes gazed upon the night sky. The black canvas of night was scattered with tiny little lights. Some even formed pictures. They were all so beautiful And in the middle of the masterpiece, was the largest full moon Szad had ever seen. He felt small just looking at it. It made him realize just how big his world was, and how he was only a small part of it. He couldn't look away.
His eyes were moving back and forth gently, taking in the sounds of life around him. Not a hoof beat was heard. Only bird song and the quite wind. He smiled gently. His eyes sparkling. It was a perfect night.

Lorcan's hooves thudded against the ground as he raced along under the silky night sky. He paid no mind to the beautiful stars, and could care less about the large, brilliant moon. All he cared about was the cool wind and getting that blasted bug! Yes, a bug. A small, glowing bug to be exact. The moonlight bathed the ground, as his hooves tore up grass. The wind caught it and left a small trail in his wake that hovered in the air a moment, before it drifted back down to earth. His body tensed as he neared the bug. Just a little closer now... Just a little closer...
The gentle sound of a bird and the slight smell of another stallion threw Lorcan out of his stride. In a spectacular, if he did say so himself, show of control, the large liver chesnut body, mane and all, skidded to a halt. His soft brown eyes darted around, looking for the bug. Instead, his eyes caught the site of what had destroyed his rhythm.

Szad did not notice the bugs, the light breeze that was picking up and making his thick mane move. He did not realize that he had sat down, or that he was out in the open completely. Nor did he hear the hooves of the on coming company. If he had, he would have surely bolted for cover. His shyness making him scared.
But he didn't hear anything. He didn't see anything. All he saw was the brilliant moon. It seamed to be right in front of him, making him a black shadow against its bright surface. His eyes were locked on it. He was deep, deep in thought. This moon was familiar. But he didn't know why...but he recognized it. From where? From when?
His eyes were spaced out, glossed over. His body was still, not a muscle moving. Even when the firefly, that had been chased by the stallion standing only a few feet way, landed on his shoulder. He didn't move. He was remembering.

Lorcan blinked, eyes taking in the other who just... well just sat there. And the bug! No, the bug wasn't important. He shook his head. He had bigger fish to fry, or so to speak. Straightening himself, and shaking out his mane till it fell into place just right against his thick neck, he trotted forward, moving towards the oblivious one.
A small part of the stallion was concerned. Lorcan knew he was not silent, he made a point not to be when he was running. Though even if he wanted to be his large hooves kept him from doing so. So the fact that this stranger hadn't even flinched as he barreled by, and made a rather loud stop, was worrisome. Was it dead? Some old one who had gotten lost from their herd and couldn't hear?
He was also a little annoyed, and this part was the part that was most predominate as he walked right up to the other, stopping way to close for comfort. "Hay! You deaf? Dead? Stupid? Hello there!" He said, his voice rather loud. If that didn't startle this stranger out of their silence, he didn't know what would.

Snap. And he was back. Back to reality. The stallion's loud voice did do the trick. But it worked almost too well. Szad became terrified. The white in his eyes showed itself suddenly, he pined his ears back instinctively, And he shot up. His muscles were tensed for defence, he bucked up, becoming even larger than he naturally was, and waves his hooves crazily in the air. He did this all on instinct. In his head he had no idea what was happening.
He stood huge and strong in the air for over three seconds before falling down to the ground. He closed his eyes tightly. What was happening? Why was his body reacting in this way? What was this feeling in his head? It seemed to be telling him there was some sort of danger.
His legs did not hurt the new stallion, thankfully. Szad calmed down. A small cloud of dust form the sandy ground had risen around them. He took a deep breath, eyes wide with fear. What had just happened to him?

"Woah!" Lorcan jumped back as the stallion startled violently. Ok, this wasn't the reaction he was looking for. Least it seemed the other wasn't dead. Which was a good thing. The stallion was no good with dead things. Or the idea of them.
He took a moment, standing vary, vary quiet, waiting as the other calmed down. Last thing he wanted was to get kicked by one of those hooves. Ouch indeed. His eyes took in the panicked state. The movements were fast, and he had to award himself a mental nod for not getting hit. It was obvious the other stallion was not to aware, or else Lorcan knew he was likely to have been hit.
"You ok there?" He asked, his voice quieter this time, slightly concerned. He hadn't meant to... well terrify the stallion. Spook him a little, well no. Break his little trance, most certainly. And he felt a little bad for, as far as he could tell, scaring the stallion so bad when he had been trying to help, more or less. "I'm not gonna hurt ya." He assured him. Or rather, hoped he sounded assuring.

Szad's mind was screaming. his deeper mind, the part that only awoke in dreams. He had lost all control, and now his body was being flung around in the air. It was disgusting, it was frightening, it was heart stopping. Stop! Stop! he cried.
He finally touched the ground. And his strength seeped into him once more. He had control now. Szad gasped and his knees buckled under him. But he continued to stand, his eyes wide and heart pounding.
"You ok there?" He looked up suddenly at the stallion. He didn't even notice. then the thought struck him like a falling tree.
"Are y-you hurt anywhere!?" he blurted out, his face filled with worry, "D-did I h-hurt you anywhere...?" His voice trailed, and returned to the quite whisper, " I, Im sorry..."
He hid behind his long bangs, looking down at the ground.

"Huh? Oh no, Nah, I'm fine, you missed." Lorcan was slightly surprised at the sudden speech from the stallion. Then the large stallion's voice fell off he waited a moment, not wanting to set the stallion off again. He was closer now, and didn't want to get hurt this time.
When he spoke again, he kept his voice calming, as he had before. "I'm alright, No need to be sorry. But are you ok? You seemed to be a little... stuck and it seems I spooked you well enough. So perhaps I should be the one apologizing."
Mere moments ago he had been trying to squash a bug. Now, he was suddenly apologizing for terrifying a large stallion. Sometimes, he surprised himself. But he did feel bad, more so now that he saw the other stallion seemed to feel bad. He shook his own bangs from his face, looking over the silvery stallion with a few glances.

He was not hurt. that was good to hear. Szad took a deep, calming breath. But his heart was still racing. Why had he reacted so? His gut stirred. it was...familiar. All these things that were happening were familiar, like Deja Vu. Szad clentched his teeth.
His non-existent memory was like a set of chains around him. They hurt him, made him long for freedom. he was so confused by the flashbacks, the thoughts, the reactions, the events, by himself.
"I..Im sorry...that I was a-angry... I don't k-know why...." tears pooled in his eyes. It hurt so much. Why couldn't he just remember?

"Its alright, don't worry about it. I startled you, no biggy. No harm, no foul." He tried to reassure the stallion. Didn't seem to be working, however, which was obviously a slight problem, in Lorcan's eyes.
"did you hurt yourself?" He asked. It was a possibility. "Are you ok?" He repeated for what seemed like the tenth time. But he would keep repeating it, Lorcan told himself, until this one gave him an affirmative answer.
Lorcan wasn't concerned, or even curious, as to why the stallion acted as he did. As far as the chesnut male could tell, He had startled him while he was in thought, or asleep, or something, and the large grey stallion acted in a logical manner.

His nightmares came flooding into him. Filling up his body and mind to the brim. All the flash backs, all the emotions, everything came all at once. They screamed his name, the voices were cruel. He couldn't stop them, keep them out, deafen them. They were in his ears. Please stop...please leave me alone. He begged, the tears rising. But his body was frozen, not shaking, not moving. Nothing.
He closed his eyes. Please make it stop. Please cut it off, cut it loose. Let me be free! Hopelessness. It clung to his heart, eating away at it quickly. But then he heard those words. The words that made his eyes open and gasp and breath again. The words he needed to hear the most.
"Are you ok?" Only now did he truly realize them, even thought they had been repeated. He looked up at the chestnut stallion. Eyes sparkling with tears. Szad could feel the sting of them down his cheek, even though none had fallen. They burned.
"it hurts..."

Lorcan's ears shot up, as did his posture, as he heard the stallion's words. His eyes traveled over him again, trying to see what could be hurting. Perhaps, he would think later, he was reacting a bit to quickly to the stallions words, and a bit oddly, for having just met the stallion. But this moon gazing stallion seemed so...lost, like a foal without even a mother for protection. And it set off a small part of the thick boned stallion. He just felt like, he had to help. Whatever was the problem, he had to.
"What hurts?" He finally had to ask, not seeing anything. An unseen injury was the worst, he was sure. It could be simple, or the end of the large stallion. That was worrisome indeed.
"Where are you hurting?" he asked again, slow, calmer.

Szad had not even realized that he had said the words. his silver face flushed suddenly. What was it that hurt? His heart? His mind? his soul?
"...e-everything....I...i can't re-remember...anything...."
he was lost...and it seemd like there was no light at the tunnel for him,....

A little voice in Lorcan's head warned him this stallion may not be right in the head. It certainly seemed that could be the case. Really wrong. Which could be incredibly dangerous.
"I am not certain I understand. Everything hurts? Did you hit your head? You can't remember anything?" He asked, still with a calm voice. If the stallion was loco, he didn't want to set him off. "Is this an old thing? Is that why you were staring at the moon? Or did you just forget?"
The longer Lorcan stood here with this stallion, the more he felt like he was talking to a foal. And the more he wanted to help. But he couldn't get more then a few words out of the other...so he had no idea how he was going to help.

Szad was afraid. Afraid of himself. He felt angry and scared and helpless all at the same time. He felt furious. But at himself. But the emotion...it did not feel as if it was his. It felt as if someone else, someone residing deep in his heart and mind, was angry with him. Who was it? He remembered the nightmare of the giant bucking stallion above him. Who was he? Szad's brain was a mess, his breathing irregular, his heart pounding in his ears. He tried to think but it was too painful. He wondered what his two legger would tell him to do. His bonder. She always knew what to do. Her voice so gentle and understanding. he wanted to hear it. it would tell him what to do. It would tell him to take a deep breath, to calm himself, and slowly sort himself out. To stand up once more, even if the fear was still there. It would tell him he was strong.
He inhaled, closed his eyes. And did just that. Only a moment fluttered by on the wings of time. Only one moment, and in that moment, the chestnut spoke. There was hesitation and uncertainty in his voice. But he was sincere. It was a voice Szad could trust. He started to regain himself. He stood up., Onto his thick, strong legs. And opened his eyes.
"Im sorry...im alright n-now....sorry for that..." He looked at the stallion. he didn't know what to say...
"m-my name is...Szad." He said quietly.
