Mal sighed contentedly and bent down to lick at her cubs gently. The leopard had been the father after all. Azshara hadn't been happy. She, meant well, but Azsh had a habit of complicating things.
The brown lioness would take care of her cubs no matter what though. That much was simple. She knew, in the end and despite everything she said, Azsh would do the same. They were family after all, and if they didn't have family they didn't have anything.
Azshara paced back and forth at the edge of the watering hole. Part of her still couldn't belive it. Well, that wasn't all true. She fully believed that Mal had it in her to 'play' with a leopard. What she couldn't believe was that her sister had been so careless as to get pregnant with his litter. She sighed for the hundredth time that day and raised her head.
Perhaps she'd never fully understand what Mal had been thinking. For now though she had to do what she promised her sister and look for Steken. She'd sent the big blue lion away when Mal was going into labour. Normaly he returned on his own after a while, but he hadn't, and that had both sisters worried.
Lahoma'Ownah streached and crawled out from under her mother, looking around at the great wide world she found herself in. In one way, it was frighting, in another amazing. The tall grass obscured the sun overhead nearly completely. Off in the distance an unknown type of bird cried and took flight. She never saw it but the sounds would echo in her head for days.
She shivered once then turned to go find a warm litter mate to snuggle with.

Nayavu was content to be nuzzled up close to their mother. She was warm and he wasn't ready to get up yet. Nah, for now he would just lay here and .. what the hell?
The cubs eyes shot open and he stared at his sister now snuggled up next to him. Navayu's tail lashed from side to side. He was not happy.
"I didn't invite you next to me , "He yawned. When were people going to get it right? He was annoyed but the warmth from his sister made him quickly forget it. "Actually its kinda nice.." He closed his eyes and laid his head back down.
