Vera was sitting in the second study room, looking entirely annoyed. There was a math book sitting next to her, not open. Her pristine (and brand new) notebook was in front of her, page unmarked and crisply white. She'd signed up for a math tutor, which was a pre-emptive strike as her teacher had warned her that she'd likely be assigned one fairly soon. And now her tutor was running late. Vera didn't even know who it was going to be, as they'd not spoken or met, all arrangements having been made through the school.
Drumming her pencil against the table, she resisted the urge to cross her arms and have something of a sulk. It wouldn't do her any good, and besides, she had something of a reputation to maintain. The one that was making the other students shift themselves away from her as soon as the pencil started moving.

It was hard being seventeen. Barren Pines had no end to the homework, striving to cram as much into their students' heads as they possibly could in the short years they were within the prestigious institution. Add that to patrol duties, play rehearsal, and ah...study dates with Khaldun, Audrey didn't really have time for this tutoring bullshit. Having to bash her head against a table because what was probably some damn art student couldn't add without using their fingers and toes was not her idea of a good time.
Streaming into the second-floor study room, the bow-haired teen skimmed the room. Vera...red hair...Vera...AHA. That was her right? Sitting there, looking impatient, waiting. Oh yes, this would be a lovely adventure indeed. Maybe she could throw herself off the roof afterwards! Not that it'd work, the roof was far too low. Putting on her best smile, Audrey walked over and dumped her bag unceremoniously.
"Sorry I'm late. Urs...ah, Miss Johnson kept me a little too long, convinced I wasn't doing the whole EVIL QUEEN OF DOOM thing right. I'm Audrey Collins, nice to meet you."
