zombies can be described either as slow and nonthreatening unless encountered at a short distance or as vicious, fast, and a danger no matter where you are, usually used in movies and video games so which one is the most plausible?

Hard to say. It seems like the first zombies more embrace what zombies started out as. Slow, Flesh eating monsters. The ones of today are super dooper fast and will eat you eventually. I think the first one is more plausible because they deteriorate over time so that means missing limbs or broken bones. So I don't think the second type are very plausible.

well the fast one aren't "zombies". Zombies are the undead, something that had died and reanimeted( which is imposabled) and can only be killed with a head shot. Infected (runners) are normal humans infected with soem sort of virus (like a mutated rabis virus) athat causes them to become extreemly vilont and homicidel. they can also be killed with shots to the chest and well any kill shot on a human, it may take more bullets do to them not reacting to pain like a normal person would.

But The zombies in L4D and L4D2 can't be possible, unless the human is injected with a superhuman serum straight into the brain. But until the Goverment makes the serum we will be safe from jumping and sprinting zombies.

So I don't think the second type are very plausible. I agree. zombies are dead, and therefore they are slowly decomposing. I believe that if a zombie doesnt get enough food for energy, it'll be weaker, as compared to a zombie that eats regularly. the unfed zombie will probably decay faster, and eventually just fall apart. would it still be threatening, being a broken mess lying on the ground? possibly, if its brain is intact and it's jaw is attached.
maybe zombies that eat a lot of human flesh gain strength, and could eventually evolve into the fast runners, but i'm not sure.

Well it's still dead so it won't run. It might sprint but then it will fall because its only mind set is food. Not to avoid objects or keep its balance. They might end up killing themselves. XD Also all digestion in a dead body doesn't work. They would keep eating till they burst, which means no energy but they wont need it since their nerves don't work.

The only way to create runners is through a virus that disrupts mental activity like a mutated form of rabies. Human flesh has no effects on physical or mental ability, no matter what you do with it. Zombies are always considered a threat, even if they are a pile of bones. Why? Because there's always that dumb ******** prodding it with his fingers and saying, "Is it dead?"
