The walk had definitely been worth it. Azubahiel had trekked all the way from her house to this park, which was farther than the one she usually went to. But, it was so worth it. The split spawn looked around in awe of the beautiful park. The sidewalks were almost a pristine white; no cracks or gum stuck to them. The sidewalks all led to a fountain in the center of the park; a sculpture of a woman holding an urn pouring water. And oh, the leaves! The pretty shades of gold, red, and orange leaves floated down to the ground in cascades of color.
"Wow..." she murmured, stopping in the middle of the sidewalk to watch them fall. This park was so beautiful. Sure, it lacked a playground and therefor, in her opinion, a practical purpose, but it was pretty nonetheless. She tugged her jacket around her a bit tighter. That was the bad thing about fall. While the leaves were pretty, the temperatures got colder. Ugh.

A young girl with short pink-and-blonde hair walked along the pavement from the area of that very same fountain. Her curvaceous frame was covered by a thick dark red coat, and a long orange scarf. However, as the purple girl walked, she spotted someone familiar and veered somewhat off course.
"Zuba?" she inquired, eternally closed seeming eyes fixed on the split spawn. Unlike with Ciaran, Azubahiel was easy to pick out for who she was. Ebby may not have seen her in forever, but Zuba was rather unmistakable.

'Zuba blinked, snapping out of her thoughts as she heard her name called. She turned her head, eyes falling on a familiar face. "'Lo, Ebby." she said, after a moment of placing the name with the face. At least, she hoped she had the right name. How embarrassing would that be, calling someone by the wrong name.
"Long time no see." the spawn continued, turning around full to face the girl. "Hair looks nice. Different, but nice" True, the pink and blonde went well together, and looked bright against the girl's purple skin.

"Aw, thanks Zuba! Yours looks nice too." the girl agreed with a grin, "It really has been a long time. How've you been?" the teen inquired pleasantly, moving to give the other girl a quick hug. Zuba was a childhood friend afterall, why not greet her pleasantly?

'Zuba smiled, giving the girl a light hug back in return. "Thanks....Been alright." she said, nodding once. Her tone showed that she doubted her hair looked good, but to be honest, she was tired of correcting people. "How have you been?" she asked. "Grown a lot since I last saw you." Which was true; last time she'd seen Ebby, they'd both been smaller. A lot smaller.

"Oh, I've been pretty good." Ebony assured her companion pleasantly. "Yeah. We both have really."
"So, Zuba, anything new happen on your end? Met anyone new, et cetera?"

'Zuba smiled, nodding. "That's good." she said, glad that all seemed well with the other girl.
"Well...have a new sibling, went on my first date, and bought a baby at a flea market by accident." she said, doing her best to summarize....not thinking about how that last statement sounded. "Anything new with you?"

"Siblings are nice. I'm older than almost all of mine now." she laughed, "And ooh? Who with? I got asked on one too. Nice boy."
The last bit caused her eyebrows to raise however. "Baby? Oh, I hope they're all right. Why did they let you get one so young?"

"So am I." 'Zuba said, chuckling. Technically, she was second oldest, but she looked oldest. Her cheeks gained a little color; why did talking about dating and such have to feel so awkward? "With Adhara. Who's the boy?"
She then chuckled a little. "Well, I just bought a rock." she explained. "Didn't know it'd turn into a baby. Don't think they knew, either." Well, she sure hoped they didn't. What kind of person would knowingly sell a baby at a flea market?

Ebby smiled, "Oh, that's nice. You and Adhi always did get along, from what I remember." she assured the other girl before the topic turned back to her, "Oh, Vinny. His brother pushed him to ask me though."
"It'd be kinda bad if they knew. Why would you ever sell off something that'd turn into such a special baby to some random person at a flea market? It's weird enough how they choose guardians at places like the facility."

'Zuba smiled lightly, nodding. She then blinked. "Vinny? Oh. Congratulations!" she said, smiling. True, while she was happy for Ebby, she was also happy for Vinny. Though, who would push their sibling to ask someone out was beyond me. In her opinion, that was more than a little rude.
'Zuba nodded. "That'd be cruel." she said, shaking her head. How could anyone sell a child to a stranger. "Because they are moronic?" she offered as an answer, shrugging. She then paused. "Never knew how they chose. Couldn't judge." she admitted, shrugging.

"Yeah, I guess." Ebby agreed with a nod and another small smile, looking around at the leaves. "Pretty colors aren't they?" she inquired, dropping both subjects before they got too confusing. "Any plans for what your family is doing for the holidays? Since it's a bit bigger now."

'Zuba looked at the falling leaved, smiling and nodding. "Yeah, really pretty." she agreed, reaching out to catch one of them. "Crispy, too." she said, chuckling lightly as the leaf crunched in her hand. She paused, trying to think back; talk of the holidays had been sparse in her house. "Not sure. Last I checked, Grandfather was coming. Along with my aunt. Too many kids to take there, so they're coming here. What's your family doing?"

The girl grinned, "Oh, I don't know yet. Mom doesn't celebrate, though the little ones, Bailey and I might do something. I was thinking of trying out for a Christmas show or going caroling too."

"That sounds like fun." 'Zuba said, smiling and nodding. "Caroling and Christmas shows...both have singing, right? You sing?" People who could sing were so lucky to be able to produce such pretty sounds! But, she was getting ahead of herself.
She pulled her jacket a little tighter around her, frowning faintly at the cold. While autumn leaves were pretty....the chill in the air wasn't quite as pretty.
