Pokémon Rumble is out for WiiWare today! This is the game where you use little Pokémon toys to play against each other and "catch" other toys to add to your collection. I believe the game costs 1,500 points or so.
Also, I saw on Serebii.net that there's going to be a Mew event coming up in January for D/P/Pl players, as Japanese HG/SS players got the event recently.

Mew event for diamond, peal, and platinum? Sure it's not just platinum?

As far as events go, D/P have the exact same capibilities as Platinum. All the extra features are simply Wi-fi games, videos, and ingame changes. But, for some silly reason, Nintendo has excluded Diamond and Pearl from the recent Wi-fi Events for no good reason. stare

Also, back on topic, you can play a free demo version to see if you find it worth spending 1500 points for the real thing.

I did end up buying it because I thought it was really cute. x)
It actually is a lot of fun if you don't mind the short levels and the time it takes to actually collect the various types of toys. The fact that you can have up to four people playing it makes it all the more fun. n_n Mixing and matching the moves that are randomly given to you can be a challenge.
I took a Rattata that had Bite up to the roulette, and it was capable of learning Thunderbolt. xD My brother and I went, "..WHAT?!" I also took a Kakuna up to it just to see what would happen, and now it has two Hardens. xD

For some reason my Wii is taking a really long time just to download the demo.
Edit:Finally it finished,on to the next demo.

i got it my sis and 2 of my friends play it and we cover each others weaknesses im a turtig i know energy ball (if in a mess of pokes it bounces all around) and bite, my sister is warturtle knows protect(everyone goes behind her when gets bad) and water gun, my friend danny golom he has rock smash and rest(if hes dieing), and my friend rico charmeleon dragon rage and sizemic toss

My friend and I were playing last night, and we came across a shiny Weezing! xD That was way awesome. Not only is it shiny, but it also has some special ability AND it's one of the strongest I've gotten so far!

I've played through the Demo twice already. I'll get it once I get my hands on some points.

Shinies?! XD I never knew that there were shinies! XD
I love this game. If they added a story, Gen 2 and 3 pokemon, and more levels it could be a full fledged wii game. XD Definately worth fifteen dollars.

This game was most likely an experiment that Nintendo gave the KO to and put it on WiiWare. If it does well, I would not be suprized if they expanded it and released a V2.

Ahhhh, the shiny Rattata is definitely my favourite now! xD I had it learn Shadow Ball!
