The entire drive to the restaurant Seth couldn't shake the nervous feeling that ate away at his stomach, even though outwardly he did his best to maintain his usual cool and calm demeanor. He had made the reservations for them earlier that week, and now it seemed that it was finally time. The cheetah truly hoped that everything went perfectly tonight, for he had actually been planning this for quite some time now. "We're here," he said with a smile after pulling into a parking space. He leaned over and gave Noe a sweet and brief kiss before getting out and walking around to open the car door for her.

This was it! She knew it all too well... seen it a mile away. The inevitable... the break up! He had been so quiet for the last week, offering to take her out to dinner when they never got dressed up so fancy before. Seth didn't seem the type to wine and dine which Noelani knew first hand but why now? Of course it would be now, butter her up to dump the bad news.
Noe I can't be with you anymore...
She had to contain a growl at her runaway imagination. The whole drive to the restaurant was spent in mild silence. Seth had asked about her day but she'd been so nervous about the break up portion that her words where brief. Just like the kiss he offered her before opening the door. Well at the very least he was being his usual gentlemanly self. Turning worried eyes to him she offered a smile half filled with the same worry in her eyes. How could she make him change his mind? What had she done to upset him? With her heart beating a mile a minute she followed demurely inside, eyes darting around at just how fancy the place truly was. "Wow... it's beautiful." She breathed on quivering lips.
Damnit Seth... why bring me here now! Her mind raged but she showed no outward reaction.

Indeed, the restaurant was truly a gorgeous sight to behold. It was an Italian style restaurant, and a very large one at that. What was most unique about the place however was that in the very center of the area lie a large expanse of wooden floor with no tables set on it. The two approached the seating hostess who confirmed their reservation and led them to a small booth in a dimly lit corner near the expanse of floor. On the table was set a small vase with a single red rose in it.
"I hope you like Italian," the cheetah replied with a faint smile after the hostess had left them with their menus. "I probably should have asked first." Truth be told, that worried glance he had received from Noe earlier had only served to further stoke the butterflies in his stomach. Did she know what he was up to? Was she worried because... she'd have to say no? Should he have waited longer for this? Stop second-guessing yourself, he scolded mentally, trying not to jar his nerves any further. It's too late to back out of this now. If she says no... Well, I just really hope she'll say yes.

She hadn't really been listening her eyes drinking in every little detail that restaurant had to offer. It was quaint and elegant without being too over the top. Their booth was a perfect place for privacy...! Wait! Privacy? Why would that be needed unless... it was true! He was going to break it all off.
Her mind began to play the scenarios over and over again. Right down to the very last bit. Not even a week before her friend had been dumped by her long time boyfriend. Out of no where it had ended just like that... She had told Noe everything that had happened explained the whole romantic night even to the final moments in his arms and then... BAM! The following day he was gone. A sorry excuse for a message was left on her phone later that day explaining his decision.
Noe had wanted to hunt that idiot down and stab him a million times with her paralyzing needles but she managed to keep from doing it. Instead she invested in a voodoo doll and tried something new. Somehow she heard through the grape vine that he had broke his arm. She smirked... well if all else fails she could torture Seth until he relented and took her back... no no... think positive. Smiling she returning her thoughts to the events at hand.
Had he asked her something? What was it again... oh yes. "No it's fine I like all kinds of foods. Italian is fine." That was a close one. Sighing to herself she busied her hands with the menu keeping her eyes averted at all costs. Please don't leave me... please Seth I can't take another broken heart.

The two of them spent a few minutes looking through the menu before deciding on what they wanted to eat. After they had placed their orders and the waiter had taken their menus, the two of them were left alone in a brief awkward silence. "So, anything new going on in class recently?" Seth asked with a smile, reminding himself to act natural. It didn't help however that Noe was barely even looking him in the eye. Thus far the romantic evening wasn't going quite as planned, but perhaps he was only perceiving things as such because of his nerves.

Noelani tried to calm her rapidly beating heart. Everything had been planned so nicely but her worried mind wouldn't let her enjoy the atmosphere. Taking in a deep breath she let it out in a soft puff of air and managed a genuine smile though her nervous eyes shown through. "Class is actually going nicely." She offered. Falling silent she realized the air between them was just to heavy and thick. Reaching for a glass of water she took a sip watching Seth over the lid of the glace, eyelashes fluttering softly against her cheeks upon stilling her heart from beating to fast. He's definitely up to something... She thought but kept it to herself for now. Trying at the very least to enjoy his company even if it was the last time.

"Ah, glad to hear it," Seth replied with a faint smile. "Is... everything alright, Noe? You seem a bit upset." Her expressions and mannerisms seemed to portray worry, but was she worried about the same thing that he was? Or was he merely projecting his own nervousness onto her? Secretly, he wished to himself that time could be sped up so that he could just ask her already. But now was not the time. Later, I have to wait till later... Hopefully he'd be able to remember the words when the time finally came.

She squeaked suddenly at his abrupt question, had he found out? Did he know she knew of his plans? "U... I guess this is just new to me. We never go to expensive places like this is all. I'm.. overwhelmed." She quickly covered wringing her paws together under the table. Looking way she took in the establishment once more this time she was analyzing her escape plan. There were to exits to her rear one at her side a little further away and if she were desperate she could always crash through a window dramatically...
Returning her gaze she tried to enjoy the atmosphere as best she could. Being in the beginning process of being dumped was never easy at the very least she had ordered something fairly expensive just to spite his actions. "Where is the food?" She whispered impatiently wanting all this worrying to just go away. Why did she care so much if he dumped her anyway? It wasn't like ... well of course she loved him but it was only natural. Once she started to like someone on that level they leave. Dyre did it. Why not Seth?
Damn you stupid cheetah you promised not to hurt me!

At Noe's explanation, Seth relaxed a bit and gave her a warm and genuine smile. "Ah, I see. I do apologize for that. It dawned on me recently that we were long over due for something like this." His tail swayed calmly beside him, nerves somewhat relieved now that he knew what she was thinking. "You deserve to be treated out more often. Can you forgive me for my negligence?" True, the main issue was that their schedules were so opposite of one another that they didn't get to spend all that much time together, but he still felt bad for not taking her out sooner. Hopefully tonight would help to make that up to her.

Noe sighed this was annoying but she couldn't help melting when he gave her that pitiful look. "I forgive you." But not for what's to come, she thought silently and went to inspect a dinner roll set in a basket on their table. With some butter and a little honey she bit into it, smiling gleefully of the delicious appetizer. "So... did you bring me here just to make up for lost time?" She inquired finally, her nerves finally collecting themselves. It was probably to her benefit to strike up a subtle conversation anyway. Maybe she could understand what was going on. "I mean we didn't have to do all this. I'm not really used to extravagance on this level. It really is nice though." And it was. Somehow she missed her daddy and his money cards, only then had she been exposed to such spending extremes. Ah well...

"Somewhat," the cheetah Hyte replied with a suave smile. He was finally beginning to relax a bit, and there was still much of the night ahead of them before the time was right. "Is it so odd for me to wish to treat the one I love to a romantic dinner for a change?" Shortly after that their food arrived. The two began eating while Seth decided to strike up some casual conversation. "So, if you could go anywhere in the world that you wanted to, where would you go?"

Somehow that smiled put her at ease. Maybe things weren't as bad as she had thought. Perhaps her imagination had gotten the better of her, after all he seemed relaxed now. Smiling over the their food she nibbled into some meat that seemed to melt in her mouth. Smiling she thought over his question wondering where she'd like to go. "I don't know." She replied honestly, maybe a rain forest some place. Somewhere they could be far away from a city and just roam freely. "I wouldn't mind a jungle retreat." She offered though as far as a country she wasn't too picky. It would be fun either way if they could just get far away from HQ and the others for a while. "What about you? Where would you like to go?"

A jungle retreat, eh? He'd have to log that away in his memory for future reference. When the question was returned to him, Seth looked up thoughtfully for a moment. "Hm... That's a tough choice. Perhaps it would be nice to visit the Savannah." He then jokingly added, "Think I'd fair well in a race against a full-blooded cheetah?" It would be an interesting place to see indeed considering that several of the Hytes he knew had origins there. Although that was not his original intent on asking the question.

Noe actually chuckled looking toward Seth across the table. "I don't think you have a chance with a real cheetah but it might be fun to watch." To which it actually would be rather interesting. With the casual conversation things seemed to be looking up, Noe didn't seem as jittery as before though she couldn't help looking toward the kitchen area for when their food would come. Being worried all the time worked up a great appetite.
Nibbling on a roll she smiled but that bit of worry still shown through. "Seth.. do you ever thing of being with other people?" A question out of left field but it was something she had to ask. Too many doubts filled her heart when it came to opening up. Never again did she want to have to face watching someone she cared for walk out of her life.

"Other people?" Seth replied, blinking in surprise at the unexpected question. "Of-" His response was cut off by the sudden arrival of their meal. They thanked the waiter for the food and the cheetah Hyte waited until their server had walked away before trying again. "I can't say that I've ever thought about that, no," he answered, looking over at Noe with mild apprehension. "Have... you?" This could possibly complicate things.
