(( Not-so-original title, but hey, at least it has a title? ))
Sei had managed to escape from his trainer to go off on his own. He ran through the thick trees, keeping his eyes peeled. He knew there was a ghost about, he could sense it. The fascination he had with them wasn't something he could easily explain to someone, it just was. Although it wasn't quite night, the forest was dark and held a captivating eeriness about it that drew in Sei.
As he continued through the forest, he slowed down. His heart raced, and there was only silence that he could hear. sei sat down and closed his eyes, listening for any signs of a ghost, or at the very least another Pokemon.

(*laughs* the title makes me think of DDR's Dark Black Forest song)
Tien was drifting through the trees, grinning as she enjoyed the spooky atmos-fear. She loved the fact that her trainer just didn't care where she went, as long as she stayed out of some trouble and came back before morning.
The whole day had been a bit of a let down, since she wasn't let out for battle, and she stayed in her pokeball to avoid the sunlight, but now that darkness was falling around and the forest was dark enough for her to be comfortably out, she was thrilled. Oh how she wanted to mess with some pokemon's head, maybe make them see disturbing things or hear disembodied voices.
And that was when she saw the Ninetales. A slow, evil smile crept across her face as she went over options silently in her head. She made sure to keep hiden from him, not wanting to ruin the fun.

The hair on the back of Sei's neck stood up. He shuddered, and got the strange feeling he was being watched. When he opened his eyes however, he saw no one. Creeping low, be began to move around a little, looking for what he believed to be a spirit. There was no way of knowing what he would find, but he wanted to find it.
"Come out!" He called, listening for an answer. The silence had been so deafening up until he called out. Sei wanted this creature to show itself, and he wanted to learn more about it. But what if the ghost turned out to be evil, and tried to hurt him? Sei shuddered again and kept walking, looking around for any sign of life, or rather, death.

Tien decided she was going to go all out on this; there didn't seem to be any other life in this stupid forest than the Ninetails in front of her, and she was desporate for a good trick. Noticing that a low fog was blowing in from the cooling of night, she smirked. Perfect.
As all ghosts, Tien was a master at making illusions and voices, and she certainly wasn't going to give up that chance now.
A small, shadowy figure walked towards Sein through the fog, moaning softly as it got closer.

Sei nearly jumped out of his skin as he stared at the thing in front of him with horror. It took all of his remaining courage to not run and run away. Cautiously, he found his voice and slowly began to speak. "W-who are you?" He backed up a little as he said this. If it was a really ghost, he wasn't taking any chances. Now that he was facing one, Sei wasn't sure it was such a good idea after all.
After a long time of hunting them, Sei had always picture himself bravely talking to them. Nothing like this. But he supposed he should be grateful for this opportunity at all. So with a little more confidence, he repeated himself. "Who are you?"

Stepping closer, the fog finally cleared a bit to show a meowth walking towards him. "Help me....." The voice pleaded softly, and then the meowth colapsed, breathing heavily. There were no external injuries vissable on it, but it was clearly in pain.
Tien watched with glowing eyes from a tree, grinning widely to herself. Oh, this was going to be perfect; the poor guy was already jumping out of his skin.
(Oh snap, this isn't going to end well)

Sei breathed a sigh of relief at first, thankful that the poor thing couldn't hurt him. But the relief was replaced quickly for fear. The Meowth could be dying, and Sei had to do something for him. He rushed over to him and looked him up and down, but he could see no injuries on his body. Sei was growing panicky, and tried to find out what he could possibly do. Normally, he never felt such a strong desire to help the living, but he couldn't stand to see this Meowth suffer.
"How can I help?! What happened?" He asked, pushing his paw lightly on the Meowth to see if anyting was broken.

The meowth moaned again as it was poked. "It huuurts. My insides burn and my skin feels like it's not there." It looked up at Sei pitifully. "Can't you help me?"
Tien grinned even more as she played her next horror card.
The meowth's eyeballs suddenly fell out of it's sockets, landing to the floor. "Oh no!" It cried out, turning it's head to face the direction that the eyes landed.
(I feel bad now... Sei's going to be traumatized for life)

Sei took his paw away quickly and bent over lower, trying not to touch him. "We have to get you some help. I need to get you to someone, fast." He froze in horror as he watched the eyeballs roll out of their sockets. "That's not... possible!"
Sei backed up, even more frightened then before. He called out to anyone who could possibly hear him. "Somebody, help!" His fear of whatever was happening kept him at bay, unable to approach the poor creature. But something inside him told him to help and do his best to not let him suffer.
So Sei forced himself to return to the Meowth's side. "I don't know what's wrong, but this is freaking me out. I don't know what to do!"

The meowth let out another pained grown, and then the true horror Tien wanted to happen did; limbs began to fall off and within a course of seconds, the meowth was gone, replaced by only a few tuffs of it's fur.
Carefully, Tien snuck up behind Sei, making sure to make not a sound until she was ready to whisper in his ear. "Boo...."

Sei's mouth was agape, as he stared at the horrible sight in front of him. The poor creature had literally just... disappeared, incomprehensibly. He felt frightened and was about to turn away when he heard the voice behind him. Sei stopped in his place and let out a whimper.
He turned about sharply and cried out "What do you want with me?!". He then looked around for a way to run to get out of here.

Tien could take the hilarity of her prank no more, and she fully appeared, laughing hard with her arms clutching her sides. The Gengar clearly was enjoying herself as she struggled to breath. "Oh... you look like you're going to soil yourself!"
Flopping to the ground, she continued to hoot in laughter as tears began to form a bit.

Sei stared at the Gengar in front of him. He'd known ghost Pokemon could create illusions, but he hadn't even considered it could be one this time. It was shocking to finally see the cause of what had just happened. Sei suddenly glared. He wanted nothing more than to attack her, whoever she was.
Instead of attacking her though, he calmed himself down. Sei felt that he'd probably never forgive himself if he did go through with it. "What's your problem?" He settled for saying.

Tien stoped laughing and got up, then smirked at Sei. "I'm not the one with the problem... You, however, look like you're about to wet yourself...." Sniffing the air, she laughed. "Or maybe you already have! You smell!"

Sei glared at the Gengar, angry for the trick that had been played. He in fact hadn't wet himself, but had been sweating a to from the panic. "You're a cruel Pokemon!" He glared and began stomping away, looking back only once to stick out his tongue. "I'm leaving, you jerk..."
