[Be sure to read everything in the information section. It's very important and needs to be read before you start in this roleplay.

Any and all cats who heard about The Ruins needing help may post here. We're not looking for drama or anything of the like, this is a rescue and can also count as a battle for those who need it.

Only AnarchyGeisha, Artemisrebel and myself can play humans here. That's final.

I will be posting in red when they are heading to the facility, then anyone who wants to join may come.]

It had already started out rough. How was this fair? At all..? Their kittens were born just a little while ago, and everything was going well. All six of them were happy, healthy, active...Leila was doing well, recovering from the large birth, and he had mostly been in charge of making sure the kittens were where they needed to be and safe.

JiYong seemed to be doing well, also--he helped Leila recover and obviously saw the kittens whenever possible. The other members of the ruins had also been useful to them, Mei and SeungRi helping Tempo keep the kittens in safe areas while Alice came around often to see the little buggers. She had been a lot of help as well, which he was grateful for of course. Any and all help they received was amazing--being new parents and all that was hard to do with just Leila, JiYong and himself.

The kittens had started to become mobile, and were all over the place--that's when it all happened. He had been outside with them, near the foresty area lining the lake, and that's when it all happened. Humans seemed to rush them, one after another, and the kittens were taken, kicking and screaming. Tempo, being such a large cat, was able to free himself. But by the time he had turned back around to get the kittens--they were gone.

It was one of the hardest things he'd ever had to do--tell JiYong and Leila that the kittens had been abducted. He had managed to trek through the forest and find the huge place that they were being kept...but he couldn't get inside. The scent of all of their children was still fresh, he knew they were there...

But what to do now?

After a few days of panic attacks and sleepless nights--he decided. As the leader, he was going to bring their territory, and their allies, to go and get their children back. He never once thought it was a stupid decision, he'd go alone if he had to...but Alice. He had to ask Alice.

And now, he was making his way, quickly, towards the University. The close allies had always promised to help them when they needed help, and now was the time to pretty much beg for it. "Alice!" They hadn't told anyone else about the abduction--just kept to themselves. The territory members that spent time with the kittens knew, but Alice hadn't come around in a while...must have been busy.

The usual places she hung out seemed to be empty--except for the pond, he hadn't checked there yet. And of course, as soon as he got close, he could hear that usual music that she listened to...it was calming in a way, but the second he saw her--he broke.

Within a few feet of her he was in tears, grabbing her arm to get her attention. Of course, he should have found a better way to break this to her, but he was so panicked and hurt. How else could he? "Alice--t-the kittens..."

Alice was playing her cello, enjoying the crisp fall breeze completely absorbed in the rhythymatic sawing motion and the notes that protruded from the elegant instrument. She had been so caught up trying to find a ending to her new piece, a small smiled formed on her lips when she found the notes in her head and pulled the final cords, not really hearing Tempo over the sounds in her head.

The female Somali blinked a few times, as though trying to wake up from all too pleasant a dream, and only just realized Tempo was there. Their territories were linked, but she could count on one paw how many times the male had come here, something had to be horribly wrong she thought, pulling him closer to her. His mention of the kittens brought her hair to stand on point.

The kittens.... but she had just seen them... they were fine, hell she was bonding with some of them. Her voice caught in her throat, and she had to clear it before setting down her cello and bow. Alice pulled Tempo onto her lap.

What had happened, what went wrong?

"Shhh Tempo whats wrong? What happened?"

All she could hope was it wasn't anything too bad... she would have heard if it was right?

God he already looked weak. He hated this feeling, and his head was throbbing from crying the past few days--and JiYong yelling, and crying, and over-all panicking.

But the kittens weren't okay, he had no idea if they were even alive anymore. Why would humans raid a family like that? They looked so weird, smelled even stranger...it was infuriating and frustrating.

"They're gone," being pulled closer to her, he kept himself standing, stumbling a bit despite himself. So uncoordinated and thrown off. "The ******** humans took them--came right into the territory," no humans had been around The Ruins since the fire...everyone seemed afraid to, which is what he loved about the place. Now they knew that more cats were there, and not only was his family in danger but so were the rest of the territory members...and his babies...

"We have to go find them, please," he begged, grabbing her wrists. He was exhausted, hurting and...enraged, to be honest. Beyond angry. "Please, Alice..I need help..from you and your territory.."
PostPosted: Sun Nov 15, 2009 2:16 pm

Alice blanched as he told the tale. It was every parents worst nightmare loosing ones children. "Oh tempo..." she mumbled, trying to keep her emotions out of the way, it wouldn't do anything if she started freaking out as well. Shakingly she stood up, brushing out the wrinkles in her skirt and looking up at him through her eyelashes.

"Tempo... you don't even have to ask me... you know I would do anything for your children... hell anything for you guys, you are the closest thing to family I have." Alice winced inwardly... she knew she had to add the But, he had to know that she would have conditions... she had to think of her people after all.

"But tempo... all I can add to your numbers is myself and two others... one of my students has a pre existing condition and I will not allow her to put herself in harms way, shes the closest thing I have to a baby sister. Everyone else though... we are yours to command."

She couldn't help it, Alice wrapped her arms around the others neck and started crying.
"we will get them back ... we will just show me where they have taken them."

Tempo remained quiet for a long moment, before wrapping his arms around her as she hugged him. "Any help is amazing," he murmured, rubbing the woman's back to try and calm her. Horrible weakness--people crying around him.

They would get the kids back...the woman's territory plus his..that still made quite an army right there. Plus HeeChul could fight well...not that they'd bring Leila, that just...wasn't a good idea..maybe?

Clearing his throat, he hugged her tightly then let her go, holding her at arm's length by her shoulders. "We leave at sundown.." He mumbled, figuring that the darkness will be better for them to work with.

"Thank you...so much," he mumbled, stepping back from her and rubbing at his cheek. Damn his head hurt too, "I'm going to go prepare the others." They had to work something out...had to find more help if possible.

Quickly, he made his way back towards his own territory and gather everyone up. They have to prepare...for everything.

The last few days had been awful, to say the least. The three parents hadn't slept much, if at all, most of it spent crying and screaming and fighting and trying to think of ways to get their kittens back. Of course the fact they had no idea what the place they had been taken to was didn't help at all, and they didn't even know if they were alive and really, that thought upset him the most.

The thought of his babies being dead was just...

When Tempo left, JiYong didn't know what to do. He was scared, he was lost, he was just confused, so he just lay on one of the pillows and tried to sleep...to no avail.

But then his lover came back, talking about them all going to save them, and JiYong was up in seconds, grabbing his knuckles and pulling Tempo out the door.

The place was big - bigger than JiYong expected for some reason. Staring through the chainlink fence, he frowned and shifted. "How are we getting in?" he asked, turning to regard the forest cat with a c**k of his head.

"We'll find a way," he mumbled, frowning as he stared through the fence towards the barbed wire white building. The place reeked of disinfectant and humans. He hated that smell. But he wasn't going to back down.

Glancing over his shoulder in regard to the other cats who had decided to join then, his eyes narrowed, glowing in the darkness of the forest. They were just waiting for Alice and her troop to get here, then they could get moving. They could go under the fence, over it, or circle the perimeter until they found an opening, or a doorway. There had to be a way to get inside without physically breaking something open.

Huffing, he brought a hand up to wrap around the man's shoulders, turning his head to nuzzle his hair softly, reassuringly, "We'll get them back..."

SeungRi was unsure of how this was going to work. He had come with Mei after the woman had rushed the room to tell him that they decided to go get the kittens. Seems he needed to leave the room more often--but even he was upset about the kittens being abducted, so the bobtail eagerly agreed to help them.

Standing a few paces back from Tempo and JiYong, he took in a slow breath and fingered his weapons, which were slid up his sleeves in holsters. Hopefully he wouldn't need to use them, Mei had assured him that they were there for backup and to follow in after them and locate the kittens. The older cats would take care of any fights or humans that were close by.

Watching the shadows of some humans pass by the front entrance of the place, his ears folded back and he growled automatically, growing impatient.

HeeChul should have acted more offended--it would have been more incharacter. Still, Tempo was close to his heart, and so the other didn't deserve to be picked on at such a rough time. The redhead stepped up to the group, setting a hand on his hip and staring at the leader, who he would follow no matter what he said.

"We're here." The redhead stated with a distinct nod. SiWon came out of the shadows a few minutes later, showing that they had followed JiYong, tracking him carefully and moving to help the couple. They were their leaders, after all. Besides, HeeChul would probably end up helping anyway. Kittens were defenceless and didn't deserve this s**t. Humans were fowl things that needed to be taught a lesson.

"One of us could cause a bit of a distraction. Lure one of them out so the doors are open?"

He wasn't sure if it would work, but they did need some sort of a plan. Strange that HeeChul mentioned one. Normally, he prefered to act rash and do whatever the hell he wanted.

SiWon gave a grin, trying to be reassuring. There was no way he would let anything happen to those kittens if he could help it. Tempo was a great leader, JiYong was gaining his trust quickly as well. They deserved to have their kittens be health and happy.

It was rare that SiWon wanted to fight. He was usually peace loving, despite his training in the martial arts. Though he had grown a bit of an angry streak putting up with a pissy redhead so long.

"We are yours, Tempo. We will do what you want." He bowed his head then, showing respect and still holding a smile. He had confidence that their numbers were great and they were quite a group. The tuxedo cat tilted his head a little as he noticed each seperate member of those who had gathered. They had many friends and allies, that was important when it came to this sort of battle.

Alice sighed for what had to be the fiftieth time, she was doing the right thing, that was something that needed no second thoughts whatsoever. She was more worried about her students. Nyx wanted to come, but Alice wouldn't let her... if those creeps were taking normal kittens she would only figure that they would go after an Albino in a heartbeat. But they were all so young... But it was too late, both of the other members had consented, agreed immediately to helping save the babies considering they would want the help if they ever did start their family.

She took a few deep breaths and strode out of the shadows, slinking in a black suit that blended in with the night. Her heart was in her throat but she was set minded. Save the babies, keep everyone safe, cut off a humans fingers if possible and save the day.

Simple no? somehow she knew it wouldn't be. Alice slid by all the curious faces, ignoring most of them... before she settled herself at Tempo's side.

"Hey babe, waiting for me?"

...

Something slunk in the shadows behind her, equal in darkness save for his cream hair and red eyes watching everyone carefully. His weapon was diagonaly strapped against his back shining in what little light the trees provided. Ishtar had heard that some of his family was getting involved in this little escapade, and he figured they would need someone to bail them out at the last moment. They needed a entrance he thought absentmindedly, walking away from the group rather than to them.

He liked to be alone, Ishtar had always worked this way, and being with the Anbu had only enhanced that. The cats had taken a concern about the random abductions recently, and quite frankly the kitty police was pissed. Pissed enough to send one of their best healers to check it out and offer Aid...

or at least that was Youko's cover, because Ishtar was going to leave with or without his permission. So the light haired hybrid started to scout ahead.

...

Aidan was bored, that was an understatement, and more then likely the least reason why he should be walking over to the other two territory leaders through a group of gockers. He was shirt less as always, but he didn't have his usual leather jacket. The Siberian had a way with moving that his brother lacked, those long confident strides, the cocky half smile on his lips, the lack of hidden agenda in his eyes.

He stopped just short of Tempo and Alice giving a half wave and looking them up and down. " ' guys seem to need a bit of help." Some of his territory would come, some would stay and protect his home, it was just the way it was.

Alice bristled at Tempo's side, looking down to hide the emotions playing across her face. "Yeah well this time keep your hands to yourself." she growled before pulling away from the two and walking away.

The night just couldn't get annnny better.

...

Mei sighed and wrapped her arms around Ri's chest, pulling him into her and brushing her lips against his shoulder.
"I love you Ri... no matter what happens I love you." Her voice was a faint whisper, but she was nervous, this was more then likely the first time her lover was in a situation like this... and for all she knew the humans would catch them and throw them into a frier.

Her hands shook a bit where they were clasped to his stomach but she kept them there, hell she didn't think she could move them.

It was the edge of the forest where the silver toyger had appeared, growling slightly. He'd heard rumors that another litter of kittens was taken by the humans. Dracal looked around the forest to see if anyone was around before sniffing the area. He just couldn't believe that humans would do such a thing. In his heart, he was starting to have a fear of human close to a hatred of them. His ears flicked side to side for anyone familiar.

"Hello?!" He yelled out softly which would sound like a meow to the humans. A hiss escaped from his mouth once again, moving from tree to tree. He thanked the gods for his training and from learning what he could from Birman. He hadn't trained for a weapon yet but it would be far too soon for that. He would simply use his feet and hands if he had to.

"There is got to be someone that I know that would know of the situation." He knew the feeling for he had almost lost Nyx at one point due to the humans. He stopped at a tree that is near a clearing. He looked towards the horizon, waiting to see if anyone was around. It was not that he wanted to be left out of this.. but he couldn't bear to see another family crushed due to the blasted humans. "Humans...." He said in a snarl, just leaning against the tree as his eyes scanned his surroundings for the time being.

Ara had been training with her staff in the training grounds when a very upset looking Alice had come to her, telling her that the kittens that had been had in the Ruins had been taken and they needed help getting them back. She accepted the offer to go with and help immediately. She knew that if she lost her own kits to humans she would want help getting them back. She knew not all people were bad, she had been born into humans and then given to a store and raised by a nice owner but she had always been drawn to the outside. But Alice said that it was in some kind of scary looking building, so maybe it wasn't that nice of a place for kittens. She went to go change into something better for a possible fight. She had been working out alot after her badger attack though the scars across her chest were still scary looking. She didn't feel pretty anymore, but Morph said she was, but she had taken to wearing something to cover her body more often then not. She walked out of her room in some black cargo pants and a green tied up tee-shirt. She wanted something that wouldn't hinder her movements with her staff so she had the shirt tied up in the middle of her chest. It had half sleeves. She had her hair up in a high pony tail, her curls falling around her shoulders as she set out in the direction that Alice had told her to meet them all at.

As she ran up to the forest where she was told to meet them she slowed to a walk holding the staff over her shoulder as she looked over everyone there and smiled softly, trying not to think about how many were staring at her scars across her chest. She stood near Alice wanting to be close to someone she knew as she waited for her Morph to get here. She set her staff on the ground, holding the other end in her arms as she crossed them over her chest trying to hide her scars. She didn't like how she felt about them but something didn't like thinking that others were looking at them, even if no one was.

Morph followed Alice, saying nothing but holding his jo tightly in one hand. Upon hearing the news he had been horrified, and for more reasons than one. To hear that humans had done it again; kidnapped another litter, just hit too close to home. It also scared him that this trend of kidnapping kits for one reason of another seemed to be pretty common and he was quite scared that something like this would happen to his eventual kits. Tightening his grip on the polished wooden staff that he had chosen for a weapon, he jogged a little to catch up to Alice, looking around at all the other cats that had assembled, meeting the eyes of a few and nodding silently. Seeing Ara, he hurried over to her, giving her a one armed hug. “You alright, love?

Mir glanced around, keeping in step a few paces behind Aidan. She was dressed in all black, which seemed to somewhat of the uniform for the occasion, trading out her cream colored shirt for something much less visible. Her armor was a few days from being done, but she wasn’t worried. There were enough cats here that there would be protection in numbers, and she reasoned that if she had survived without it, there really was no need to miss it, was there? She stopped behind Aidan as he addressed Alice and Tempo, remaining quite silent. Her eyes probed the white building in front of her, mapping out paths and ways in. She snorted quietly, already disliking the smell of the building. It seemed to exude unpleasantness, and Mir had a feeling that she would outright hate this place before the night was done.

The stench made his nose and eyes water - or at least that's what he told himself. The fact his babies were in there might have something to do with that, but hey. Scrubbing at his cheeks quietly, JiYong turned to watch the cats come. God there were so many, he almost started crying again out of sheer appreciation. Reaching down, he took one of Tempo's hands and twined their fingers, squeezing it tightly, careful of his knuckles.

"There's so many," he whispered, ears twitching. Turning to regard the building again, he bit his lip and pressed against Tempo's side tightly, scanning the walls. Maybe there were some vents or something that came outside, they could sneak in through there and improvise, but the place was so big. They could all get lost and who knows how many of them would make it back out again.

"Maybe some of us should scout ahead..?" he asked quietly, shifting forward to watch people moving in the barred windows. "See what security is, maybe try and get a feel for the place..." He wasn't good at strategy. He wasn't good at thinking things through.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 15, 2009 7:59 pm

Taking in a deep breath, he looked down to see Alice and gave a weak grin. "Of course," he mumbled, voice dark and still rather angry sounding. he was exhausted, and about ready to light this place on fire.

Kissing his lover's hair softly as he was spoken to, he shook his head a bit and gripped the other's hand loosely. "See? We'll get them back...everyone here is here to help--" He was cut off by yelling. Who the hell was yelling?

Growling lowly, he huffed and looked to SeungRi, who nodded and padded off to go find the loud b*****d.

Time to address the group he supposed...and take charge. As much charge as he could. Clearing his throat and trying to gain his composure, he released the ocicat's hand and turned to the group, swallowing thickly when he did see how many there really were--and he smelled one upwind, closer to the building.

"Thank you all for coming to help," he called, though was mindful of the volume of his voice, "We appreciate it--but we need to be careful. This place isn't safe," he didn't know what was going on in there, but just by the smell and the security...something was wrong. Biting his lower lip, he stepped forward and motioned his hand over the group, "So...I'm letting whoever wants to leave now, you can...I'm not forcing anyone into this without full agreement."

With that, he eyed SiWon and Ririka, "Riri, SiWon, you two need to stay out here to direct anyone else that might show up. If something comes up--we need you two to give us a message somehow. We'll leave the way we get in open for both of you," just in case. They had no other way of communicating, so this was the best they got. "The rest of you...try to stay in pairs, at least. It'd be better to stay in a group," he knew he was taking charge, and he knew a bunch of cats wouldn't like that, but he didn't care. If they didn't listen, he wasn't going to protect them.

Taking in a breath, he frowned, "If anyone gets separated, head for the exit. We cant have anyone get hurt, or worse--" Though he wanted his children, he wasn't going to live with the guilt of getting someone killed. His ears swiveled at the sound of dogs barking--a lot of dogs. At least four. he wrinkled his nose, "Since they have guards, fight together, not separately. No one be a damned hero, okay?"

Pausing once more, he eyed Morph and Ara, recognizing them from the University, "You two," he figured Alice would agree to this as well, "When we find a way in, I want you two to stay at the exit, make sure it stays open for everyone to get out. We wont have time to look for a new one when we get the kittens." That was about it...he moved to withdraw the chain whip from his waist and wrapped it around his arm, having better access to it like this, "Lets go, then. SiWon, direct SeungRi in our direction when he comes back."

With that, he began to lead the group along the perimeter of the fence, for now not going with the distraction idea...with dogs there, it wouldn't work. As soon as they came upon a hole in the fence however, he motioned with his hand to it, then crouched and ducked under the sharp wire without a second though, the dogs still barking in the distance.

SeungRi looked to Mei and smiled, reaching a hand up to touch her hair and kiss her temple. It was scary, but he didn't think anyone was going to die. "It'll be okay," he murmured, nuzzling her hair--when he was given direction by Tempo. He nodded, and took hold of Mei's arm, not wanting to leave her by herself.

Making his way into the forest, with the woman at his side, SeungRi's ears swiveled this way and that--until he pinpointed Dracal.

Huffing, he approached the toyger and stared at him, "You need to not be so loud, you made the dogs notice us," he mumbled lowly, releasing Mei but still standing in front of her. The pixie bob had learned a lot in his time with Mei, and in the Ruins, so there was no way he was going to hide behind the woman. "Are you here for the rescue? If you are, then it's that way." Pointing, he turned his head to look at Mei, then back to Dracal.

Ririka stood at SiWon's side, saying nothing. All these cats made her nervous--this building in general made her nervous. Biting her lower lip, she waited until Tempo turned to give them directions.

Being pointed out, she nodded eagerly to the directions given to her and looked to SiWon with a smile. Without much thought, she stepped up to HeeChul and wrapped her arms around her adoptive brother, nuzzling his neck softly. "Be safe," she murmured, touching Tempo's arm as well before smiling to JiYong. She was especially close to the kittens, it had impacted her hard when they had gone missing.

Stepping back, she bristled slightly at the sound of dogs and growled a bit, ears folding back. She disliked dogs...it was obviously a cat thing.

"Keep your chin up, Riri. You think I'd let a dog get any one of us?" He had to give a slight grin as he squeezed the girl. His tone, though, held a hint of how nervous he was. Though he was normally a cocky b***h, he had no doubt that this was an extremely dangerous situation, and that they were all risking themselves.

Tempo and JiYong were worth this risk. The fact that HeeChul was even standing there showed his affection for the two leaders, even if he wasn't one to be very touchy-feely.

His head then turned to his own mate, his eyes glowing a little. "SiWonnie.." But there wasn't mmuch to say. He was going to have to go and take care of things, and trust that his mate could protect and look out for them from afar. He wrapped his arms around the strong male, tears prickling at his eyes despite the fact that he didn't want them to. He hated showing emotions, but they were coming anyway.

"I swear to God, if you let anything happen to you.. I'll hunt you down and kill you myself." He whispered as he bit a little at the other's neck as a warning. "Keep your eye on Riri."

User Image

SiWon knew that HeeChul hated being this emotional--at least when it came to being sad. He nuzzled at his ear and whispered sweet nothings to him. "I love you, HeeChul-ah.. But you need to worry about yourself.. Please keep yourself safe. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to you." He nipped softly at the other's neck in an affectionate way before slowly letting him go.

"Keep yourselves safe." He stated to Tempo, staring at him rather intensly. He didn't want a single one of them to be harmed, they were each very valuable to him.

"Tempo.. please look after to him."

He felt HeeChul pull away and glare, insisting that he didn't need anyone to protect him. He had to give a soft chuckle. Somethings never changed. The barking of the dogs had his eyes narrowing. They were probably scaring the kittens to death, barking like that. That thought alone made him quite angry, his own ears lowered and he gave a soft growl-like sound.

Stupid dogs.
