Well, unfortunately with my busy schedule I couldn't get enough art up here, and with my skill in drawing, I never felt comfortable with critiquing others art. With that being said, though, I wish this would stick around for those who use it often. I hope that whoever takes it over follows in Juneberry's footsteps.

Agreed with Adrian Monjula.
I feel a bit guilty for not being around here as often. I used to be incredibly active, but ever since college started for me, life's been a little more hectic. I am on Gaia Online nearly every day, but for only tidbits of a time.
Enough excuses from me. Whatever happens to the guild, I wish it well.

Well, I'm a total newbie to this guild, so I dunno. I guess it wouldn't really make a difference to me if the leader was ArtistA or ArtistB... unless ArtistB was a total Nazi and went around deleting the tutorials and other posts for no reason.

Agreed with Adrian Monjula as well. I don't really post much, I kinda lurk around for the great advice/tutorials. But I also do hope that whoever takes over is a good guild leader and keeps this guild up and running the way it should be.

I think it's a good thing, because this guild really has been slowing down lately, and new management could prove beneficial for the guild. Just as long as the new person will keep everything in control and possibly advertise the guild more for new artists. 3nodding Maybe new crew, too? Because didn't in the announcement say that the crew's attentiveness is waning? confused

Just as long as the new person will keep everything in control and possibly advertise the guild more for new artists. 3nodding Maybe new crew, too? Because didn't in the announcement say that the crew's attentiveness is waning? confused Guilty as charged! From what I've been seeing, none of the crew hangs around here anymore, including myself. The attendance rate slowly went downhill after the art auction to raise more money, at least based on what I've seen. If the new owner decides to give all the crew the boot, fine. If the new owner decides to keep us, I'll try to stay here and help people more. I've heavily contemplated buying the guild, but I don't think I'll do a better job. *shrugs*

I agree with juneberry, the new owner should be someone in within the guild, that way they hopefully won't change the way things are run around here, i like this guild.

How much does "It won't be cheap" mean, anyways? Are we talking about a new collectible's value, an evolving item's value, a semi-old high demand collectible like the Ancient Katana, or an old high demand collectible like the Devil Tail?

I've considered buying the guild from JuneBerry. I'm currently a member of the guild, and I've not yet posted very much, but, I do browse around the guild. To answer the question above me, the guild will be selling for at least 1.3 million - 1.5 million gold. At the current moment I've donated a large amount of my gold to other Gaian before I had heard about this guild selling, so as of right now I've got very little gold. But JuneBerry and I are discussing things via PM. If I get the guild I'll try to keep things the way they are, and, I'll even try to make some ting better. But I'm not even sure that I'll be purchasing the guild as of right now.

I considered starting a feedback topic on this to see what you folks thought of what's happening, but it seems that somebody beat me to it. smile
And yes, to answer the question, the guild is worth 1.3-1.5 million. This doesn't take into consideration the guild mascot who is to be used for contests (he alone has 1.1 million gold). However, I find it hard to believe that I'd be able to sell the guild for 2+ mil, so I'm currently just looking at the best candidates for the position and hoping to get somewhere close to the guild's worth. I've narrowed it down considerably and hope to have some more news soon.
Keep the feedback coming! I'd love to know what changes/improvements everybody hopes to see in the future!

I am interested in buying the guild and, if it happens, I don't seen a need for much in the way of changes. That being said, I do have some of my own ideas for the future to add to the guild (possible suggestions to new owner?)
I would like to see more art contests, well, that and more to promote them (I notice subforums get ignored quite often) as I feel art contests are a good incentive to get people to practice drawing outside of their established comfort zones while allowing them to still work within their preferred styles.
Also the Art Discussion seems really stagnant, more could be done to get the discussions rolling. For example, I'd like to get beyond the whole "who/what is your favorite..." and more into the discussion of the merits of various mediums, techniques, and styles of drawing.
I'd like to see a new subforum to showcase samples of strong art as the guild has some amazing artists. Maybe to select pieces there could be be monthly votes for the favorite piece(s) of the month and the most popular art gets in to the showcase. Maybe establish a thread there to also acknowledge the efforts of those who've made a lot of progress too, as I have noted quite a few blossoming artists in the guild greatly improving their pieces even if they aren't popular artists or the strongest pieces posted. Encouragement is a good way to promote drawing practice and increase guild activity.
Oh! And I want to start an art conversation thread where all posts must have the response involving a sketch or drawing in the post. For example I want to post I had a rough day, I might include a quick sketch of a gloomy looking character/chibi. Nothing fancy, rough sketches would be encouraged. Practice, the fun way!
Those are just my ideas to add to the guild. But the guild is pretty much great as is, I wouldn't want to see anything removed.
I hope the new owner will read all of these posts because there are a lot of people here stating their enjoyment of the guild and that they don't want a drastic overhaul, and that's important. We could lose a lot of great members if the new owner ignores this, and I don't want to see that happen!
