Rather than continuing to clutter up the other OOC chat with this silly idea, I figured we could just make another thread for it. Also, an announcement of sorts!
I will give 30k to whoever designs the best school uniform for the RP! It can be an edit or a drawing or even just an image compilation. Stick to the right colors -- cool grey,slate blue, green and white -- and keep it in a Western school style, but other than that, go crazy! There's no real time limit or deadline...I'm honest just too lazy to design one myself right now. XD;

Now that I think about it, our characters will probably spend most of their time apart from each other since they're in different school years/classes. All our interactions will be in the hallways, at recess and lunch, and outside of school hours.
I get this hilarious feeling of anticipation, like I'm going to be watching volatile elements drifting through a neutral suspension but getting closer and closer until the characters finally bump into each other and...cause a plot explosion or something. *LOL*

*nods* Just an idea. I like to have something to work with, so I'm always trying to make maps and such.
Hmmm.....so.
I've come up with an idea of sorts on uniforms.
I kinda like the idea of a set for general studies, and then a separate uniform for specific classes (Robes for spellwork classes, sport wear for gym, etc.)
The combination of Kottan bell and Silent Night work/look really well/good, and maybe with a bit of editing we can adjust the colors on the outer edges to reflect year, or add a couple of things (Like the brooch I'm wearing to signify third year..) or something of the like.
Any ideas?

I have two designs in mind, but haven't gotten around to doodling it up yet what with pixel-work and all. @_@
The first is a standard Western style uniform with a white dress shirt (short sleeves for summer) with the school's emblem embroidered on the pocket in green. Boys wear a green necktie with diagonal white stripes and girls wear a green neck bow with straight white stripes, with the number of lines making up a single stripe varying based on school year. Over the shirt goes a vest (summer) or sweater (winter) in slate blue with white and green thin line trim, and a slate blue blazer with the school's emblem embroidered on the front in green. Bottoms are cool grey slacks/skirts with a faint plain pattern in white and green. White socks with the school's emblem embroidered on the outside in green and cool grey loafers complete the set.
The other idea I had was much more FFVIII SeeD. XD Less layers and more of a military uniform, with sharp angles and slits to the hemlines. It's kind of hard to explain so I'll have to mock something up eventually.
I made a map of Merro and Hiroaki's house on a Post-It note for my own mental reference. *hee* I have the urge to expand it in PhotoShop for kicks. X3

I've got mocks of my first school uniform idea almost ready. Just need to doodle up a quick blazer. X3
Man, I keep cracking up over "CLAMP School of Higher Learning". XD And say...the President sounds familiar. *laugh*
I don't know if you did it on purpose but my God, Letalus' speech was pure gasoline. heart I can hear Merro's enneagramic type 3 wing 2 sensors homing in on him now...beep beep beep...missile lock achieved!

*dies* Letalus in an apron...OMG I don't know if I want to see that or not. XD And here's my uniform idea. ^^ http://www.merikitten.net/gaia/shiny/uniform_test.jpgHm. I've got some stuff for Merro to do in her homeroom. Should I just go ahead and post away merrily until I get to a point where the characters can interact again, and we'll all kind of manage our own timelines in between interaction points? XD

I'm glad you like it. ^^ I gotta remember to refrain from adding in any actual detail about what Merro's wearing until you decide what the uniforms should look like. XD

Is the school not only the repository for magical knowledge but also a place where it is practiced? I want to have Merro cast a scrying spell to try and make sure the coast is clear for her to cast a more blatant spell, and I want to figure out what results she'll get.
Would it be within the realm of plausibility if she senses at least a hint of magic permeating the entire grounds? Would she or Hiroaki be able to sniff out the boundaries of the paling that keeps Letalus on campus? Is the library a self-contained building that's locked up or a basement level of one of the buildings warded so that no one can actually find it even if they're standing right in front of the doors, or...?
