The large strong male stretched his paws as he wandered back toward his family's den. He had just dropped the cub's off at his adoptive mother's to spend the night. He always thought she was a little crazy when she wanted to take all of the cubs for the night or a day or two. He wasn't that sure why but some how she always ended up taking good care of all of them and she was still happy afterward, and it was the perfect time for Sadiki and Nazih to take a break and spend some time together. They were both still young and all. They enjoyed their time they had and often felt a lot better when they got it. Not that long ago two of the cubs slipped away. Nazih wasn't sure what happened to them, but he was going to consider them dead... There was nothing else he could do... But he knew for a fact that slowly Sadiki and him were forgetting about it. Things were getting better and on top of that they were all very happy now.
And happiness was something that he enjoyed, and quiet frankly didn't come into contact with that often. After a bumpy life things were finally settling down for him, and he couldn't be any happier than this. He couldn't at all. There were very few things that could bring him down at this point. And on top of that with the cub's growing he knew that soon he and Sadiki could have their own litter, a litter that would be for once his and hers, and no one else's and that was all too it. He was so excited for those to be around. He loved his cubs and Sadiki's but there was something missing.
He trotted up to the den with a large grin on his face. Well it was hidden behind a bundle of folders that he had picked out for Sadiki He knew that she would like them so he wanted to get them for her. He purred quietly as he approached the den. "Herrro lrve." He mumbled between the flowers in his jaw before looking around for her. Where was she?

The nightmares were fewer now. Sleep was getting more restful day by day, now that she was beginning to get over the loss of her children. She could never forget, but she could let go and accept, and that's exactly what she would do, because she didn't want to rot away and become a bad mother to either her four sons, or Nazih's cubs. She was depended upon, and her mothers would tell her to be strong.
As a warm, familiar voice reached her ears she stretched, ruining her perfect camouflage. A great yawn rolled up her throat and down her tongue and she looked to Nazih with a groggy smile. The flowers her carried were gorgeous, but she was more concerned with something a little larger and furrier. "I thought my body was feeling particularly well-off this morning." She chuckled, looking around her. "What did you do with them?"
In all honesty, she'd been tossing and turning for a while now. Her sides felt cold, her heart felt far away, and it was just too quiet without the sound of many little beating hearts around her.

Nazih's ears perked up at the sound of another's voice. It was the only voice that he could think of being in the den. With a purr and a smile he moved toward his mate, resting the flowers at her feet before nuzzling her and purring quietly as he licked his nose and smiled. "Rana wanted to take them for a bit, and I know that you've been wanting a bit of a break. He chuckled slightly before nuzzling her once more and wandering behind her before curling up behind her and nuzzling his head into her neck before resting on her side as he curled around her a little more. "I knew that she could take care of all of them.... And then some." He laughed slightly before a little louder of a purr escaped his throat. "She missed them." They hadn't sent them over there in a while because of what happened but he was glad to have them there with Rana.
He let out a slight yawn himself before laughing slightly. "You're going to make me fall asleep." He teased slightly as he nipped at her ear and closed his eyes a bit before smirking as he streached his body out on top of her, making them form a x shape. "Ahhh.. I think it would be a good time for a nap."

She visibly relaxed as he curled around her and purred. If Rana had taken the kids then she knew everything would be perfectly fine and every single one of her amusing and unique brood would make it back to her completely unharmed. That's what Rana was good at, and Sadiki blessed her patience, love, and caring.
She nuzzled her head into his mane and smiled, feeling the way his muscles moved when he yawned and the vibrations of his voice. "You need just as much sleep as I do, and you know it Nazih." She grinned. He was always doing his best to keep her relaxed and unstressed, but he needed to unfurl and stretch out just as much as she did. "But," she pulled her head back to look at him, eye twinkling, "You can't have it, yet!"
She wiggled out from under him and nudged him, trying to make him get up. "Let's go do something today! You and me, the way it used to be when we were younger!"

Nazih smiled as she started to relax it was something that really made him fell better, the idea she was feeling good and was feeling happy made him feel good and happy. It was a two way thing. He could not be happy if she was not happy. It was simple as could be even though some wouldn't understand it, well maybe some would understand the whole idea but he knew for a fact that some he has talked to didn't understand exactly what he was meaning.
Nazih chuckled slightly before shaking his head and then nodding toward her. "Yes but I don't case around cubs as much." he chuckled then licked his nose. "Don't worry about me sweetie, I have enough rest I'm feeling fine." He chuckled slightly again nodding his head. "I can't sleep yet? I though I needed rest." He laughed slightly before grinning and then looking at ther a little confused when she stood up. a slightly amused look grew on his face before he let out another laugh through his lips. "I don't think we can fit into those places anymore sweetie." He stood up moving toward her side before smiling softly. "But if you want to go do something I don't see the harm in us going and wandering out for a bit."

Sadiki wiggled excitedly, but batted his nose lightly. "I'm not that much bigger." In fact, she was still quite petite. She had grown, but not much, and most of her weight now was due to finally having a healthy diet. But those crucial times when her body needed nutrients she hadn't been able give had stunted her quite a bit. Not that she really cared.
She squirmed to the opening of the den and peered out, feeling the sun reach to warm her. It only hit her face, but she already felt it seeping into her muscles. "Let's go for a run. I need to feel my muscles stretch."

Nazih smiled slightly before moving closer to her nuzzling her and then stretching some of his limbs out as he rubbed against her chest moving his full body across it. He was so happy to have her back into good health. For the longest time she was in really bad health and he knew for a fact that it was no good for her. He remembered when she was pregnant and really wasn't doing that good. But now she was a lot better. He could sleep with a peace of mind knowing that she was doing better, everyone was healthy including himself.
He eagerly followed her to the edge of the den. Squinting his eyes as the sun reached them. Adapting to the light before he started to wander out of the den shaking his pelt out and looking back and smiling at the beautiful female that was his mate. "That sounds great." He chuckled slightly as he moved closer to her and licked the entire side of his face before chuckling and he moved his maw toward her ear before whispering a simple phrase that was often used as they were cubs. "Tag, your it." He smirked before quickly twisting himself around and taking off in the brush, leaping over logs and romping over different plants. He knew exactly where he was going and it was the perfect place to lead his mate for a break that fine day. He paused for a moment as he glanced back looking where he lioness was.

Sadiki felt her heart melt and her knees weaken at the whispered phrase. It felt so different to be mated to Nazih, and yet so familiar and easy. A phrase that was so normal could now tilt her world on it's axis, and yet should could find a reason to complain.
Instead she simply bunched her muscles and let herself go, taking off after Nazih with as much speed and grace as either of her 'mothers' possessed. She dodged and leaped and was all muscular power; and yet, she couldn't quite close the gap between herself and the male ahead of her.
"I'm going to get you!" She called tauntingly.

Nazih looked at his mate before laughing slightly looking back a few times, he was watching her trying to run as fast as he could, he was pretty surprised on how easily she was keeping up with him. She was really fast he was surprised that she was going slower then him really. He laughed a few times before starting to slow down he wanted to let her win. "Oh no your not!" He was still in front of her but there was a gap enough that he was still in front of her. He wanted her to win but he wasn't going to let her get it that easily! He grinned before bounding forward a few more times, jumping over logs as he did.

She lept the logs with the grace of a gazelle and narrowed her eyes to focus on her mate. She saw as he started to slow, but took it for tiring, and put an extra burst to her feet to close the gap.
Before long the gap had closed and she was on his heels, grinning happily. He tail swayed as she ran and lept, keeping her balance and betraying her excitement. "What did you say about now getting you?" She teased softly, nipping his flank before crouching and pouncing at his back, trying to take his hind legs down.

Nazih looked the lioness as he pounced on her. He grinned and turned around nipping at her pulling at her ears and laughing a little more. "I guess you did." He wiggled out from under her then reached back and pawed at her. "Whatta want to do now?" He asked curiously looking back at her.

She rolled over on her back as he nipped at her and purred happily. She iggled her toes and hummed as she thought about what she'd like to do, now that her muscles were quite well stretched and she was feeling awake.
But, it wasn't long until her stomach made her decision for her. It growled loudly and she pouted. "Guess I want to go find some food. Wanna go to the river?"

Nazih was glad to see that his mate was in such a good mood. Seeing her happy always made him smile. He flicked his fail around before standing up looking at her stomach and grinning. "It looks like you ARE in fact hungry." He laughed then started to trot toward the river. "If you would like you can sit by the edges and I can catch you some things." He looked back at her with a large grin on his face. He loved to be able to take care of her when he got the chances, it always made him smile being able to take care of his mate. Now that his cubs were growning he had more time to spend with her. It made him happy to get to spend more time with her once more.

Sadiki rolled onto her stomach and lunged to her feet, catching up with Nazih. She fell in step beside him and beamed at his care. He always did so much for her and their family.
"So long as it's a big, big fish. I'm starving." She bumped him with her shoulder gently and laughed. "Think you can handle it?"

A smirk grew on Nazih's lips as he looked at her before chuckling a little bit before nipping at her. He scoffed playfully as he looked at her, letting out a light hearted laugh. "Well what can I say!" He smiled before thumping his tail lightly against her side. "I managed to catch you. I'm pretty sure I can get you a big fish." He laughed then started to trot a little faster, he knew he was getting closer to the river and when he approached it he slowed down and then looked back at her.
"Just sit back and relax." He purred quietly as he nuzzled her before moved toward the front of the river, wading into the water and looking around in the water, wading around keeping his eyes open as he walked. A rather large fish caught his eye and he grinned moving slowly and carefully toward the shore so it couldn't hear him coming. He waited before springing into the water quickly his head and mouth diving under the surface before realizing he missed the fish. He saw it darting away and he started to splash after it, swiping at it a few times before leaping forward again and grabbing it in his mouth. "Goodit." He managed to say as he trotted back toward his mate with his head held high and a grin on his face.
