Terra -> Lost City
The Lost CityWell beyond the great expanse that is the desert, the forest, and the mountains surrounding, an even more vast world awaits. Somewhere just beyond the mountains though, lies a small plateau, surrounded itself by a canopy of taller trees. A ruined city rests atop the soil, crumbled marble pillars and various structures crafted of odd stones and wood. It all is centered around an ancient looking circle, dead center. It is shaped in the ground with stone, and markings from a forgotten language decorate it. All is as quiet as the depths of space, and no creature has passed through in what seems eons... How times can change. The Lost City Location and threat of this area unknown

*The silence of a thousand years was broken as a DRK portal opened on the edge of the ruins. A crackle of thunder rang out overhead when Koth stepped foot on the sacred ground*
... So it does exist.

 Goosie stepped out right behind him, the bundle of clothes still in her arms as she craned her neck to peer over it and past him, around at the ruins. "Where exactly are we?" The girl asked, both because she was growing increasingly concerned about how quickly they might be found and forced to return to the DRK realm, and because she'd never seen anything like this, to her recollection.

It's... somewhere in the a** of Terra. Beyond all that MK knows of. A place I may have once flown over...
*The portal closed with a bang, the echo of DRK reverberating through the trees, but no sound came back. No birds, no wild animals of any kind, just the DRK*

 Goosie felt a little creeped out by this place, but couldn't focus on that right now. She needed to read that document. She looked around, locating a less dirty place to drop her pile of clothes and walking over to lay them down there for now. With her arms free, she turned and headed back to Koth, hastily beginning to pick through the documents in his arms to find the one she wanted. The watch was perched precariously on top of the pile of folders and papers. "There it is." She said, her voice a little shaky as she pulled the document stamped 'ORANGE' out from the pile and took a couple steps back. She stared down at it again, exchanging a quick glance with the dragon before she turned her back to him and started to read again.

... You should try flight some time. Makes you feel... free.
*Koth set the remainder of everything down on a polished rock. There seemed not to be any wind in this place either. Just sunlight beaming down through a large gap in the canopy, and all was at rest.*

 Goosie tore her eyes away to give Koth an exasperated, incredulous look from over her shoulder. "Human, remember? Humans don't fly. I'm trying to read this, can you give me some peace?" She shook her head, turning back to the document and attempting to hold it steady despite how much her hands were shaking.

... I'll teach you another time.
*Koth kicked at the soil, which, to his surprise, didn't budge*
The paper was filled with great lengths of scientific and mathematical jargon, though a section within seemed to jump out compared to all the rest;
"... the Orange chemical is derived in part by Agent Orange; The result is a more centralized neurotoxin that affects only the brain. More precisely, the memory center, rendering it numb and all but useless without a proper follow-up treatment. Smaller doses affect only the short term memory, while a larger dose can go as far as clearing a person's memory entirely. Unlike it's parent biological weapon, Orange will not cause death in a patient. They will instead experience bouts of nausea, with upset stomach and vertigo in most cases..."

 Goosie furrowed her brow as she read. This all sounded pretty scary, but what did it have to do with her? She couldn't see how Doctor MK would have used it on her without her remembering bouts of illness. "...This can't have been used on me, I would have been sick," She said aloud, glancing over at Koth while she spoke, "I haven't felt sick at all. I've been healthy for months now."

*The dragon peered over her shoulder and read along to refresh what he had skimmed the last time he saw the paper*
Have you...? I'm pretty sure you were violently ill, the first time I saw you... Was in the medic lab... I was looking for food, and MK was there with you.
This stuff can erase memory... and there is a follow-up, so that paper says. What's the follow up...?

 Goosie's eyes widened. She spun around, looking up at him. "W- what? I...I haven't been in the med station for ages...I was there once, but you weren't there, and I wasn't even sick that time...other than that, it was just after I got bit..." The girl's heart was pounding against her chest. She felt incredibly ill at the thought she was having. Somehow, she had seemed to pale as well. Her grip loosened on the document as she staggered back, shaking her head while putting one hand to her forehead, trying to deny what was falling into place.

Well... There's one thing that you can certainly do of it all, if you want to see the truth for yourself.
*Koth turned back to face her, neither a frown nor a grin on his face*

 "W-what can I do?" The girl asked almost pleadingly, letting her hand drop and stepping closer to him. She felt like she might be sick any moment now. If this was true...oh gawd, what would it all mean? What could she possibly believe? Why would it have been done to her? What had she done to deserve it? Goosie couldn't stop trembling as the thoughts wrestled one another to get and stay in the forefront of her mind for more than a half-second before being overtaken.

Security tapes. ... But I can't do much for you there. Vault and I... We don't get along.
*Koth chuckled at the thought of encountering the golem and asking for favors*

 "...Vault...that's right..." Goosie said quietly, thinking back to the conversation with Aizel and Lella. Vault's records had occurred to her then too. Vault would know... The girl was shaking as she held the document out for him to take. She'd have to go back. Whether that was a good idea or not, she had no clue...probably not given what she'd done in MK's lab...but it was the only way. "...If I need help, will you come?" She found herself asking, averting her eyes as she prepared herself for a rejection.
