 Chivosi had decided to take a stroll along the pack's boarders - it wasa walk she took often, perhaps more so lately then in the past, but she had quite a bit to think about right now. With pups on the way she was sure things would change in pack life. In a good way...but change none the less and Chiv was feeling a bit of jitters about the whole idea still.
She had thought a nice long walk would help sooth her mind and hummed a tune she recalled from her own puppy hood as she went along. Her mind was not entirely on where she was going, the Alpha female was merely strolling along - and stopping to smell the roses as it where.

It had been a long travel, Xiena still had no home to call her own. She picked off what was left by other wolves, hid away from others and stayed by herself.
Tada! had meant well, but the pack he wanted her to join was just not what she needed. She needed.. somewhere to learn how to be a real wolf. But she was fully grown and without a family. Who would bother to help her? It's not like she could benifit anyone else.
It was then she caught the scent of an Alpha female.. a pregnant Alpha female. There were few situations more dangerous than this one. She lowered herself to the ground, hiding amoung the brush and hoping that she wouldn't be attacked.

Chivosi wasn't out looking for recruits, but then she never really had to - it seemed almost as often as she went out walking she managed to run across another wolf - and more often then not brought hat foundling back home with her. Merrill even had a long standing joke about it at this point. But even after all that Chiv as faintly surprised when she passed by the brush and caught the scent of another wolf. An unknown wolf.
Pausing in mid-step Chiv glanced about to see if this new wolf was readily apparent, she had to look twice before she spotted the cowering creature hiding in the brush. Cowering wolves were not a new thing for Chivosi and she'd learned that patience seemed to be the way to handle them. Wagging her tail slightly in hopes of seeming less threatening Chiv lowered herself to her haunches, sitting wolves generally didn't attack you after all - and she hoped this would further relax the female. Tipping her head slightly she looked at the brown femme.
"Hello there"

It seemed that Chivosi was a rather smart wolf, as her actions did indeed keep Xiena calm. The wagging of her tail was what made Xiena the most curious.
She had met a few Alphas, they were all very harsh and ruthless, mocking here for being such a weakling and amused by harming her. It was though she was an Omega to the entire world, not just one pack. Xiena didn't -want- to be an Omega, though. She just didn't have the strength otherwise.
Slowly, with practiced ease, she crawled forward and laid down right in front of the alpha female, making herself as low as possible. Her own tail gave a very slight wag.
"H-Hello.." Came a very soft reply, almost lost amoung the wind that brushed through the trees. At least this Alpha seemed kind, she didn't give off the impression that she wanted to tare her from the middle.
"Have I.. crossed the territory line? If I have, I do apologize.."

Chivosi stayed very still as the strange wolf crawled up to her, but kept a friendly look on her face, she didn't want to scare the poor creature off and Chivosi had a feeling just such a thing had happened quite often to this wolf - why else would it be so fearful after all? She had to p***k her ears forward to hear what the timid beast was saying as the quiet voice was nearly lost in the wind. For some reason this made her think of Lullaby - another timid wolf in her pack.
"You have, this is the land of the YMCA pack, but no need to apologize... this pack is a sanctuary for all who want a safe place to live, for however long they so choose to stay." Chivosi told the wolf in a kind voice "My name is Chivosi, my mate - Menelaus - and I run the pack"

Was this Alpha serious? Because if she was.. then this pack was the perfect place for her. She would finally be safe, and with such a kind female.. Maybe she could learn how to behave like a normal wolf, without being so nervous. She wasn't shy.. as much as she was terrified. At any moment, she could be murderd. She had no idea how to protect herself at all.
Her kind voice truely helped and she nodded her head a few times, looking a bit skittish. "Then.. Would you allow me to see.. this pack? It sounds really nice." Not proper for her to invite herself, but.

Chivosi waited patiently as the timid wolf gathered her thoughts. After a few moments it looked as though she must have decided that Chivosi was not lying to her, tricking her or otherwise trying to lure her into danger - because she asked if she would be welcome in the pack lands. And of course she would be - that was the reason Chiv and Mene had developed the pack to begin with.
"Of course you are welcome...you are welcome for as long as you so desire to stay' She told the female in a kind voice "may I ask your name?"

Relief washed over her like a wave as she heard those words. This Alpha was no doubt strong, perhaps there were other strong members of the pack.. She wanted to learn everything she could from every single one of them. She wanted to be strong, smart and a good pack member.
"Xiena." The younger female stated softly when she was asked, her tail giving another small wag. "I am named after a great female warrior." Though she did not live up to that name.
Someday she would.

Chivosi tipped her head slightly as the other gave her name. It was an interesting name - not one that she had heard before and neither had she heard of this female warrior she spoke of - not that such a thing was uncommon Telk was a large land after all and many packs and societies held their own legends and beliefs. One could not possibly hear all of them, but perhaps she might add this one to her repertoire.
"really?...fascinating perhaps you will tell me about this warrior someday? I'm not sure my name means anything special - or at least I was never told if it does, I find names rather interesting lately..." She trailed off, of course she did - she had already begun thinking of name for her pups after all. Names should have some semblance of meaning. "But here I am babbling and you are probably anxious to see the others" She apologized "It's not a far walk from here"

The Alpha.. apologized? Xiena was shocked and impressed, her tail started to wag faster. It was too soon to trust the other, but she couldn't keep herself from doing it. She seemed like such a grand leader.. She wanted to be apart of whatever it was that she ruled.
Slowly, the female stood, keeping her body low so the other would not see any sort of challange from her.
"Xena was a very bad ruler for a long time. Slowly, she realized her sins and used all of her strength and power to help others instead.. She was a warrior princess." Xiena smiled.
"But my mother.. really liked the Chinese version of the name. I suppose it's good we don't share the name exactly.. Or I would feel like I dishonor her."

"Well I can certainly see why your mother thought it was a good name, theres not much nobler then trying to help others now is there?" Chivosi replied "Of course there are far more ways to be a warrior in my book then outward fighting - since a warrior is merely one who stands up for their beliefs and seeks to spread such things to others by some definitions. Perhaps you just haven't found a cause to uphold yet" She concluded with a kind look
before motioning back the way she had come "Shall we?"

Xiena was impressed by the words that the female said. It seemed that this alpha would never stop impressing her. Surely.. whatever home she offered would be the right one for her. She was honored and would do whatever it took to earn a place.
"Thank you. Again." Her head nodded a few times before following the other as close as she could, almost like a lost pup following her mother home. But wasn't that what she was at this point? Despite her age, there was much to learn. But this female could surely show her the right way to be.
