The Benevolent Order needs YOU! So as you all know the rp is coming up, and it's going to be HELLA AWESOME. However, to make things truly as great as they can be, we're going to need some TRULY GREAT ARTS. For now this means art of the rp settings. Some information: The place we're based in the rp setting is Isle de Gambino. So think beaches and sun and tropical foliage. I've produced sketches of the five environments we require images of. These are in chronological order, so you can really see how my amount of effort spiralled downwards as I went on... sweatdrop Church exterior.
Church interior. Hmmm.. anyone else think we should name it a "clurch"? X3
Outside church again, this one would be the image for the thread that explained solely the setting.
Hana has produced images for these three! You can still send me your interpretation if you want, though, and I'll be sure to showcase it somewhere! Guh, now I feel bad because my domains are the only ones with Teh Arts!!! Poor Panda and Cap'n crying Combat training grounds. Erm... this fancy perspective backfired on me!Spellcasters' training hall. LOOKIT MAH FANCY STAINED GLASS DESIGNS djfshsdI look forward to seeing what you guys come up with! Maybe you could even just tidy up and colour the better sketches~ Oh, for the record the only one I'm really attached to is the third; I really wants a sunset for the top of that thread~ XD But also the fountains in the church altar and the idea of the CLURCH having those steps/mini raised patio in front of it with somewhere to stand and gaze out at the sea. Other than that the sketches are so you can get a feel for the sort of things we're looking for. Have fun, gaiz!

Yeeeah I bet you guys can see I did something fancy with the perspective in each one. Anything you guys can come up with would be great. I have Erik as a backup plan, but I really don't want to shove more work on him...

I'll try my hand at most of them, but they might take a while. I'm doing NaNoWriMo and I'm pretty behind on my word count... I can have sketches up by Sunday morning on my DevArt. (Check my profile for the link)

And here's a few reaaaaally rough sketches of the interior and sunset. You should mention what you want added...? >_< Sorry, but your sketches were kinda confusing. ;_; I'm not sure what lines go where... and what they represent...

<3 Well, I love all the sketches in this thread so far XD Purple_hana, you don't have far to go as far as "cleaning it up" and spiffing it with color and shading. I'm excited to see all finished products! Actually, I was kind of curious as far as art goes, does everyone usually hand draw, scan, and post or does most everyone do computer renders? sweatdrop I'm a bit of an artist myself, so I just wanted to get and idea about the gaian art realm for our Benevolent Order (lol I was going to shorten it and just say "B.O." but then I realized... yea lol)

Oh my goodness, Hana! The first sketch of the church exterior is just wonderful! I mean, they're all lovely, but that one is my favourite X3
I really like what you've done with the fountains in the interior. Well, I originally drew pews, but since then I've been thinking of more of a... temple-ish sort of thing, with say cushions on the floor instead of traditional seating. If you could add that it would be perfect!
The sunset scene, I was actually hoping for one or two of our members standing around outside, but the more I look at it the fonder I grow of it. X3 I suppose that sort of complexity isn't really necessary. Therefore you have my permission to work on them!! Colour and do whatever you like =DD

I'm actually not too good with digital mediums, though I am improving. I'm weird in that I draw solely with pen and paper, no pencil... it started off as a discipline thing and ended up just being my way of doing things XD Anyway, then I scan and line and colour in Paintshop Pro 9. I actually have a tablet, though it's currently in a box out at the new house. I never figured out how best to use it =x Maybe if I tried again now I'd have better luck... And ar... the Benevolent Order sounds much better gonk
