It was his first chance to step out from the place he'd been staying since he'd left the Labs and he couldn't help but look around the area in utter and rapt facination. The world... it was so beautiful, it always had been but he felt as though he were looking at it through a fresh perspective. After having spent so much time at the Labs he had seemed to lose himself, growing used to his life there. With what had happened... having Fallen, he felt free. He no longer hard to adhere to his nature and was now free to care for himself in a way that he never had before.
Hyacinth looked different in that he no longer had wings, in their place was an elaborate tattoo on his back where they had been sealed. He didn't need them, they didn't help him in anyway since one of them was mostly gone due to the attack by the Gluttony demon a while back. It was a freeing feeling and he felt like he no longer stood out like a sore thumb though his hair was still a bright orange. Among those in Gaia though brightly colored hair meant nothing and he was able to blend in fairly well. The Fallen looked to his companion before giving him a smile, "Thank you for taking me along, Addy."
The tall man lifted a hand to adjust his glasses before smiling, "Its nice to have company while out and about, especially by one of God's Children. You honor me." He said, looking over at the red head next to him.
He turned to look at man next to him for a long moment then shook his head, "I am no longer one of those, Priest." He said, giving a little shrug of a shoulder, "Regardless I am happy to be here, to get to see this world in such a manner once more. After so long of just seeing things through windows and from there it was only the yard which was surrounded by a tall fence. This is a... freeing feeling, to be able to walk around in such a way. I must thank you and Raael though I don't think I could do so nearly enough."
Addy couldn't help but laugh, "You are a sweet thing, aren't you? No reason to worry or to try so hard. Just your presence is nice. Fallen or not your still what you are and who you are." He said, then motioned to the tall building a distance away from them, the place they were heading to currently was the underground archives of that building in search of information that was rumored to be there. Addy knew better what they were looking for then Hyacinth did. The Fallen Angel was only along to stretch his legs and get to enjoying life again now that his nightmare that was living in the Labs was over.

((X3 Whoo~ Meta and random run-in's on the street! How much more exciting could this be? *totally unsuspecting*))
For once, his mother was letting him stay outside of the store while she shopped for the various items she needed. The red-haired child stared out at the people as they passed by like a blur. Time seemed to have lost meaning as he went into that strange, tranquil state of mind where reality was warped beyond meaning.
That is, till something appeared in the corner of his eye. Something familiar... Wait, that hair color looked familiar, didn't it? "Woah," Cody murmured softly, reality hitting him as if it was one of the cars on the street not too far away from where he stood. That hair color was practically the same color as his feathers!
Tucking his wings close to his body and almost out of sight, the child straightened to watch the two males approach. Woah, the resemblance was far too similar to be natural... right? Instantly, his hand began to fiddle with a strand of hair, a nervous habit the boy had acquired recently for some unknown reason. Perhaps... Perhaps that was his DNA angel or something. He hadn't quite seen anyone else look so much like one parent without some hint of demonic presence in either their personality or appearance.
Would the male notice the similarities as well? He hoped so, since it would be kind of... awkward to just randomly stop someone on the street for no more reason to ask where they had come from. Especially when the reasoning was similar hair colorings.

It was as Hyacinth was passing by that he noticed him, it wasn't so much the look but instead the feeling. He gave a soft, gasping sound and nearly tripped over his own feet as he turned to look in Cody's direction. He couldn't help but to stare, eyes wide. This was one thing he'd never expected, to run across 'one of them' out here even though he knew they were free to roam in any manner they would like, unlike their parents. His steps slowed before coming to a halt and he turned slowly to stare at the boy that was standing there in front of the store, "Oh... my..." He murmured to himself.
Addy seemed to miss it at first that he'd lost his companion, getting several steps ahead of the Fallen before he too paused, turning to look at him, "Hyacinth?" He murmured, turning to look at him. The angel seemed to be quite startled from the look on his face and it took the priest only a moment to see the cause of it, "Well, now... this is quite unexpected." He murmured. One of those children, born from the work of the place that the Patience Angel had been taken captive by. He walked forward, hand reaching out to rest on the redhead's shoulder, "Come on now, we have a mission..."
"Ahh... yes, just a moment Addy, please. I have never met this one before." He murmured, moving slowly forward toward Cody.
Addy gave a little sigh, checking his watch before shrugging. Ah well, he supposed they could stop for a few moments since they were going to be away from home for who knew how long doing research. This seemed important to this boy after all so he wouldn't interfere for now.

The child froze as the angel stopped and backtracked a bit and came to a halt in front of him. This was seriously too weird of an event to pass up asking any sort of question. Even if it did end up sounding rude in the process. Wings stretching a little, the spawn pounced on the opportunity to ask the first question.
"Wh-who are you? Why do you look like me?" Cody asked suddenly, breaking the silence that had fallen between the two. The faint sound of leaves scraping across the sidewalk sounded almost ominous compared to the gentle rumble of cars passing by. So, he had noticed the similarities as well. He had even mentioned about how they had never met. Wait, met? Why would they meet anyways? His mother had talked about meeting with his DNA parents at the facility eventually, but hadn't said much more on the matter. That could only mean the angels and demons remained at the facility as well...

Hyacinth gave a soft smile as he moved to close the distance between himself and Cody, no reason to stand so far off when the boy didn't seem at all dangerous, "Perhaps because we are, in a way, related." He suggested, looking the boy over closely before nodding, "And if I had to guess I would say you share Drake's blood as well." Being close friends with Almas had its perks, being able to read over what charts his friend had carried around with him helped the Patience angel to get a feel for everyone that lived at the Labs, even those an angel would normally not wish to meet with.
"You are the first I have ever met outside of the Labs before, this is quite an amazing stroke of luck." He said, sounding quite happy over this fortuitous meeting. He'd never even begun to consider the possibility of seeing those created from his blood again. It seemed to make his day even better then it already was from just being able to go out on a walk in the sun, "Ahh... I am sorry, I am being rude... my name is Hyacinth." He told Cody, resting a hand against his own chest as he introduced himself.

There was no doubt the grin that quickly formed on Cody's face could have gotten any wider at this new piece of information. "I'm Cody, nice t' meet you Hyacinth," Cody replied, giddy with excitement. He was ACTUALLY meeting his angel father on the street! That was so cool.
"Yeah, greed is my other half... So you're th' angel of Patience? That's awesome! I'm glad you don' live at th' facility, that place is icky. Smells weird and th' techs there aren't nice at all," the spawn rambled on a bit, bouncing a bit on his heels due to his sheer excitement. And here he was beginning to think the angels and demons all lived at the facility. Oh how wrong he was, it seemed.
"So, where your wings? Can' have feathers without wings... And I don' think Drake has feathers," Cody asked, gently fingering one of the longer peachy feathers that grew from his scalp. Shadai was always trying to cut his hair, a thought that horrified him. There was no way he would let his precious feathers be cut or mangled in any way, shape, or form.

Hyacinth's eyes widened ever so slightly before he gave a small shake of his head, "Ahh... no, I have erm..." He trailed off thinking on the right way to explain to the child why he was here walking around on the street when none of the others were allowed to do so.
"Hyacinth has since retired from the position of Angel of Patience." Addy said, smoothly filling in the silence left by the the angel who seemed to be fumbling with the right words, "He has since taken on another calling."
Hyacinth gave him a glance before smiling and nodding, "Yes, retired. It seemed I was no longer right for the job." He explained, "My wings are sealed away with magic by the tattoo on my back, it makes it easier for me to move around through crowds and find clothing. He knelt down so he was closer to the young man's level before he used one hand to tug his shirt down a little bit in the back so Cody would be able to see the scrawling tattoo.
"I wasn't able to fly as it was so this was done to make things easier for me." He murmured before looking at he feathers that Cody was touching and smile, "Your feathers are very cute." He murmured, finding it interesting the way that his features popped up in such a variety of ways on the children that were created using his blood.

Retired? An angel can retire from being an angel? That didn't sound right at all. Cody's eyes widened at the sight of the tattoo along Hyacinth's back. He... He had given up his wings too?! The information reaching the child was practically overwhelming. Hyacinth basically got rid of his wings and retired from being an angel. That made no sense at all.
"Wh-why weren't you right for being an angel? Th-that makes no sense... Angel's can't retire from being themselves... can they? And why get rid of your wings?" Cody asked quietly and was for once in his life unable to figure out what he should say or do next. Hell, nothing was making much sense at all. Ary spoke of fallen angels a couple of times in her stories and how they lost their title as a true angel... Did that mean Hyacinth fell?
No! He couldn't have! Cody kept telling himself, unable to let himself believe such an idea.

Hyacinth gave a soft sound as he thought on it for a moment, "As I said, I could not fly anymore. When I was first brought to that place I lost most of one wing to a demon." He murmured, "It was before things were in order, before the demons were all kept in cages aside from Enki."
Lowering his hands to rest on his lap he gave Cody a hopeful sort of smile, "I understand that... it might be hard for you to understand now since your young but I am still myself despite my retirement, only I am not bound by certain restrictions any longer." To no longer have the same infinite patience and ability to shrug off anything was actually... nice.
"Please, do not worry overly on it."

Worry about it? Ha, the child was beyond worry and was already forming assumptions in hopes of piecing together the complex puzzle that had been laid out in front of him.
"Still... One wing is better than none," Cody replied quietly, quickly wishing he hadn't asked so many questions or that Hyacinth had simply flat-out lied to him about things. At least then he would still live on in ignorance that his own DNA parent, an angel of patience, hadn't retired or fallen or whatever they called it.
"Worry? HA! What's there to worry about? That my virtue is apparently too much for an angel to handle?" the spawn's voice became harsh and higher pitched than usual. It wasn't hard to tell that Cody was upset and disturbed by all this. Taking a deep breath, the spawn looked up at the sky for a moment to try and calm the storm that had arose in his mind.
"So what kind of restrictions were lifted when you retired?" he asked softly after a long minute of silence. Slowly, his gaze slid downward to focus on Hyacinth's face. His face...

Hyacinth gave a little tremble as the boy seemed to be getting distraught by what had happened to Hyacinth and perhaps his own fears. He lowered his gaze, "I am sorry, I never wanted to upset you." He murmured before he lifted his eyes again, reaching out to stroke Cody's hair soothingly, "I was... weak, to weak to maintain what I was born as. It doesn't mean that you should fret, perhaps you will be able to better handle yourself."
"The restrictions..." He seemed to once more be debating over how to answer, not wanting for the boy to know the whole of it, "Ahh, it was like a release of emotions, to be allowed to feel everything in a manner much like the humans are able to do. Before I was unable to become angry and there was no way for me to keep from forgiving those around me, no matter what they might do to me or to others." It wasn't until after his fall that he really understood how tied up he really was by his birthright.

Cody jerked away from the touch, despite how soothing it felt. Hyacinth had even said he was too weak to uphold what it meant to be patient! Did that not mean he, himself, was weak as well? Or that the burden far a far heavier one than first conceived?
He could only shake his head at what the former angel of patience said next. Feel things like a human would? Did that mean that they, too, didn't have the uncontrollable urge to take things? "Still... Getting mad leads to violence and pain. Nothing can change that. Nothing," Cody snapped, having seen Ary come home a couple times with fight wounds and once she had to be picked up at the police station. All this happened because she couldn't calm down and control her anger.
"Can better handle myself? You really think that I could? Psh, I can't even be taken into a store with my mom! How is THAT having a handle on myself?!" Cody growled, already finding most of his patience side to be a giant lie. He couldn't forgive, couldn't stop himself from getting angry... Pah, the only thing he was good at was stealing and hiding. So what point was there in declaring he was half patience if his own DNA parent couldn't handle it as well as a child from his very own blood?
There was none.

Hyacinth seemed to wilt at the boys words and he nodded, "You are... right." He murmured, lowering his hands and he found himself starring at them. They looked like normal hands but he could almost feel how stained they were with blood, that of the man at the Labs, of the Gluttony demon, and of... of Shar, who it pained him to see die but he would try to remedy that one day.
Addy stepped forward, resting a hand on Cody's shoulder and one on that of Hyacinth, "You must ease your angerl, young one. I know it must be hard for you to understand but think also of dear Hyacinth, Falling isn't easy on an angel nor is it in any means painless." The priest said, his voice steady as he spoke, "Let us not allow anger to best us, instead let us talk as gentlemen, yes? No matter our roots I would like to think that talking is better then accusations and violence."
As a priest he had never wanted to see people argue or suffer from sadness or anger, the emotions that Hyacinth had gained and was so happy about were also the ones other found to painful. It wasn't something he even wanted to spend to much time on, "We are to go to the archives in search of some important books, something Hyacinth volunteered to help this old man with." Not that Addy looked to be anymore then in his early thirties at the oldest, "If we cannot keep peace I will be forced to take my dear friend away now and you will be left without answers to questions you might have."

Cody blinked and sighed, focusing his gaze away from the priest and Hyacinth. He was right, there was no need to get angry now and become unable to ask questions of his angelic father. Although, the fact that his father had fallen continued to weigh heavily on his mind and allow his thoughts to question what it meant to be of patience. Everything was so turned around it was hard to think...
“Sorry for yelling... I... I didn’t mean to...,” the child muttered apologetically, glancing up at Hyacinth and feeling a pang of guilt. He had yelled at an angel that had probably gone through a harsh time with the falling and such and here he was, yelling at him. That was almost far too cruel to even be allowed, like kicking the crutches out from an injured person. Yet it was far worse since it was sort of like an injured angel or something.

Hyacinth looked up at Addy and gave the man a thankful smile before he glanced back to Cody and gave him a more gentle sort of expression, "It is... alright, it is something I am still getting used to myself." He murmured, glad to see that the boy was calming again so he lifted a hand once more to sooth it over his feather adorned hair, "As Addy was so kind to remind me, back when I still lived at the Labs and those that were a part of me came to visit I would answer any questions that they had of me. Though I am not there anymore I would do the same for you if there is anything you wish to know."
He was willing to answer all that he could for Cody, to help him where he was able to do so.
As the situation seemed to once more calm down Addy crossed his arms and went to looking back and forth down the street. There was nothing yet to worry over, not that he was exactly expecting anything to get in their way. Nobody that mattered knew they were here after all. Well aside from this boy now but Addy didn't see him as being an enemy.
