Nihls liked the study areas. They were quiet, which meant unless someone was about to get hell, they probably weren't blasting music, performing in the halls, or getting falling down dosed up on... something. Normally he'd be studying with Vera on the second floor, even though his floor was the first, but he'd taken a respite from that to go back to memorizing. He chewed his pen thoughtfully as he gazed at his homework, which he did, in fact, seem to be doing in pen. He'd filled out a decent chunk of it already... in pen. He signed softly, toning out the other students in the room for a change.

Nihls looked up, his pen still in mouth, looking amusingly like one of the occasional stray cats around the campus with his unkempt hair and wide, startled eyes. "Mm?" He noted, registering who he'd been approached by before translating.
Help me study = short list the answers please. ... "Are you having trouble wif...er..." He paused and took the chewed pen out of his mouth. "WITH anything in particular?" He corrected, thumbing the cap instead, making small clicking noises with his thumbnail.

Nihls raised his eyebrows at her and then sighed patiently, the pen cap he had been flicking at popping loose and skittering across the tabletop and falling to the carpet, like a small, runaway animal made of gnawed plastic and metal.
"...Martin Luther and Martin Luther King are two different people, they're just both historically significant." He offered, though he turned an amusing red at the flutter of her eyelashes, turning his attention back to the book as though seeking desperate answers to what he was supposed to do about girls and eyelashes. "...Well... uh. OK.... People... uh. Study differently. What helps you remember best? Flash cards? Reading? Note taking?"

Groannnnnnnnn... Edmund Nihls. Cliffs Note for the lazy. He raised his eyebrows and peered at her, without actually lifting his head from the general direction of his notebook, then let out a long, heavy sigh, which unlike the groan, did actually manage to escape his 'politeness' filters, and then reached over the desk between them with the intent to mutely snatch her blank study sheet.
"Here...."

"It's not a big deal. It's just writing stuff down again." He shrugged. "But you're going to have to rely on your own powers to do any essay questions, that I'm no good with." He reminded her. She had been a little ham-handed, in his book, but maybe she couldn't help that. There wasn't exactly an easy way to say "If I have to find all this Sh-- in the book I will never finish the study guide in time to try and memorize these dates".
"It might help if you tried to put some of the harder to remember dates into an associative form based on something you do find easy to remember?" He suggested.

Nihls rewarded her efforts by turning bright red again, which contrasted very nicely with his large, blue 'startled cat' eyes, and thanked modern science for the invention of non 'fountain' variety pens, or he might have left an ink puddle on the study sheet.
"I study a lot." He admitted, sheepishly. "Studying and I understand each other..." he tried to explain, by way of an excuse. Besides, movies, dances, and a lot of other social activity involved dark rooms... and well... he didn't do so well on that front. Walking into something... or someone, really wasn't his idea of a good time.

Still blushing furiously, Nihls did his best to concentrate on filling out the study sheet.
"...I hate putzing on the internet, and I can't see at all in the dark. It doesn't exactly leave me with a lot of sparkling options for a social life..." He explained. "Unless you've got some suggestions?"
