 Her concert was in a week! and she still could not get this piano solo right! was was she meant to do prey to the gods of music to give her strength. Something was bothering her but she did not know what, the fact made her head throb. In a small tantrum she hit almost ever key. DUM DUM DUM DUM! DUM DUM DUM DUM! Ahh... there was always something about playing a stressed out tune from a death pianist to make you feel better. She took in a deep breathe and cracked her fingers. Maybe something a little more chilled would clear her mind. As she started to play again, she was sure the music room was empty however, she was soon to realize. This was not the case. What if this time... she just could not pull it off. I mean all those people. It was definitely the biggest crowd she has EVER played in front of.

Frowning to herself in agitation, Melody strode quickly through the halls and for the music room to grab the sheet music filled folder she had left behind earlier. How annoying to think she had completely left such wonderful music behind and thus made it hard to practice. As she neared the music room, however, she slowed her quick pace at the sound of music coming from behind the large double doors. Was someone still inside? She'd hate to interrupt them but she needed that music. Slower she walked tilt the clacking of her boots against the floor was absolutely minimal and she eased her way inside.

Alease kept on playing, for a moment she was in 'the zone.' That moment when you where totally concentrated and nothing else mattered. However she did have the hearing of a bat and the nose of a fox, she smelt... perfume. Hitting the keys her head darted around to see the girl at the door. Her face going bright red. Man. NOOOOOO. Someone had caught her practicing? was her cover blown? was she a crazed fan form her performances. Was she going to bondage her with questions. The horror. She hated being the center of attention in school. She would much rather sink into the shadows and be the scary mosher kid everyone knew her to be.
Then she took a closer look. She new this girl. SHE WAS IN HER ENGLISH CLASS! Although they had never talked much.
"Mel-ody? I am sorry. Do you need the piano?" asked a quiet and shy voice.

When the music stopped, the blonde haired girl was surprised to see it was Alease playing the piano. How interesting... Smiling sweetly she moved a bit closer so she wouldn't have to raise her voice to speak with the girl.
"No, no. I'm sorry for interrupting you, Alease. I'd just left my sheet music behind when I left class earlier and came to retrieve it." Pausing a bit, she tilted her to glance her over. "I'm rather surprised to see it was you making that beautiful music." Tan hands clasped themselves in front of her skirt, the rings on her fingers clinking together in the process.

"Its a hobby. I would not call it beautiful. In fact I have hit a bit of a brick wall..."
She stated with a small sigh trying not to give away too much. She hated people making a fuss over her, it was just the way she was. Then she thought. With a name like Melody she must know a thing or two about music. As odd as that sounded it made sense in her head and from her looks she looked quite artistic. A rainbow aura.
"Maybe you can stay for a while. I mean if you want, help me and maybe join in. Just for fun of cause."
The truth is Alease did not have many friends. So any time she she got the chance to make one, even though she was shy, she would make a effort. Melody had always seemed nice... from what she could remember, So why not!

"A hobby can be beautiful, Alease. It all depends on the feelings you put behind your music. If you play with no emotion then your sound will be flat." Moving closer to the piano, she kept her smile sweet and compassionate. "I don't have my cello with me at the moment, so I don't know how well I could join in... But I would love to stay and listen."

"I dont know, something has been bugging me, I can not play with something on my mind, however I am a little stuck to what that is. Maybe its just the day."
She stated with a small sigh as her finger tapped a single key over and over. She knew very well what was up with herself. She knew it. It was all bottled up though and she had no one to talk to about it. It made her feel on her own. I mean she always felt on her own, however this was something else.
"You play the Cello? I would have never guessed, thats what we get from being in different music class's is a shame, I do not talk to many people in mine. I dont mind if you sit and listen though."
She said quietly stuttering almost, shy, nervous.

Watching her a moment longer the blonde gave a nod as if answering a question she had asked herself silently. "Is there something you'd like to talk about? I know we don't know each other very well, but I'd be glad to help you with anything that I can. It's not good to leave things bottled up."
She knew from experience, of course, and had put all of her problems into the form of music. Not that anyone knew, she kept those musics well hidden from the world.

"Nah, just some friend trouble. I guess you could call it that."
She smiled and nodded as she turned back to the piano and started once again to play the music that was on the sheet in front of her. She wrote all of her own songs, at least the ones she preformed live. Gave it a personal touch. The theme of this one was the butterfly effect. Something her agent came up with which she soon developed into her own project.
"I would like to get to know you though. I do not speak much in groups however I do not bite and am quite... sociable when I am on my own, especially in here, its like my get away from the rest of the world. A safe place."
She stated putting her long fringe behind her hair, it was annoying her, it needed to get cut again.
"Then again maybe we need a break. Want to go into town for a while, I need to buy a dress. Maybe you can talk to me about the bright make-up on your face, it seems quite unique, I like it."

"Friend trouble? What kind of trouble?" Resting a hand on the piano any thing else she said seemed to be pointless as Alease began to play again. Brown shifted to look at the notes, a nod of approval. Seeing as how the tune was not one she knew, the music must have been handwritten. She was sad when the music stopped again.
"Dress shopping, hm? I don't usually go shopping but I guess I can make an exception in this case." It couldn't hurt, really it couldn't. Maybe she could find herself something nice too, something long and flowing. Yea, that sounded fun. "Come on, let's go shopping. It could be good for you."

"I have actually put this off as much as I can. I do not really like wearing dress's but I am going to a occasion with my dad so it is needed."
She stated, it was a total lie but she did not want to say the real reason for it so it would have to make do. It was only a little white lie after all. She thought for a moment when she mentioned friend trouble. However she might just tell someone about her troubles. It might help and she knew Melody was a nice and polite girl. So they would be no trouble in mentioning it. I mean. Not everyone was out to get you right?
"Well I have this friend. He's my best friend really. However. I think I see him as more than a friend. I have liked him for a long time now and I have no idea what to do."
She sighed walking with her hands in her pockets walking down the corridors with Melody by her side.

"Oh that kind of friend trouble," she replied as she walked along, having to be careful not to walk too fast. She was tall and, when not paying attention, her stride was a bit fast. "Well you can do one of several things really. One, just let it be. Say nothing and keep your friendship as friendship. It's safe and easy.
"Then there's risking it and telling him how you feel. This could go several ways, which is why it's a risk." In the back of the mind something bothered, she'd forgotten something again but she put it aside for now. Obviously it wasn't too important at the moment. "Scenario one, he could feel the same way and everything's happy. Scenario two, he could not feel the same way but things remain good between you - if not a bit awkward for a time. Then there's scenario three, he doesn't feel the same and your friendship is ruined."

"Urgh so all the outcomes are wonderful then. To be honest I think I am going to sit and wait if he does anything. Then when he leaves collage tell him, I mean man, the crazy lads off to join the cirrus... so I will probably never see him again anyway." She stated, the though killed her, that she would never see him again, however if that's where life took them... she guess she would have to follow him. Or would that be too obsessive.
She chuckled before looking at her and then smiling and running ahead slightly. "I guess sometimes you just have to go with the flow. Now come on the bus is coming." She chuckled and started to run down the school halls after spotting their ride through the window, having one of her childish moments again. She did not want to miss this bus and then have to wait for another 20 minuets for the next one. She hated that stop it was always so cold outside for some reason.

She didn't have a chance to respond to what Alease had said for the girl took off running. Blinking in surprise, Melody gathered her skirt a bit and took off at a decent pace behind her. No way did she want to be left behind, not when she left the dorms so infrequently that with out some one with her she had no idea where she was going! Unless it was to the wonderful little Vietnamese restaurant just down the way. But that was not their destination and all thinking of it did was serve to make her hungry. Darn it.
"A-Alease, wait up!" she called after, boots clacking against the floor then the concrete as they rushed for the bus.

"Do not worry I wont leave you."
She smiled as she tagged the bus stop the bus coming to a stop and she stood in so it could not set off. Without Melody at least, she gasped and started to pant holding her chest. Man these bus drivers did this on purpose to laugh at the kids who ran after it. She looked back at Melody who was soon catching up with her.
"Come on. We need to be back before they lock up are rooms."
She joked. She knew that would not do that. After all. It was only dinner time. Maybe they could get something to eat whilst they were out in town. Speaking of it Alease was starting to get a little hungry.
