-Lucas was livid. Livid and soaked.
Since when had the taxes and release prices careened so high for videogames? Like seriously.. it had to be this god forsaken town praying on the highschool crowd boosting prices, because Lucas was freaking floored when the new release of Assassins Creed 2 rang up at $65. Seriously! SERIOUSLY?
He had restrained himself enough not to punch that damn clerk in the face, but he had fumed as he left the store. He NEEDED that game. L U C was not L U C unless he'd already devoured a game before anyone else did. He was the one you turned to when you couldn't find the uber secret side missions. He HAD to have that game. And today.
Which was why he was wading through the park fountain now, blatantly disreguarding the sign that told him not to. Crouching down lightly, he picked up a dime.. and then a quarter. He didn't waste his time on pennies, even though that would have been freaking hillarious and worth it to pile $20 in pennies on that damn cashier.-

Melinda was glad for such a nice day, it meant she could relax and be just alittle lazy. Moving through the park, she was humming to herself as she held her flute case between her fingers. Her eyes taking in a few of the younger kids running around, chasing each other. It made her think of home for moment, of how her brother use to run around screaming with laughter.
Her thoughts came to a halt though as she glances at the young man in the fountain. Was he looking for something? And why didn't he see the sign?
Turning on her heels, she moves her way towards the fountain to get a better look. Her eyes widen as she saw him picking up the coins. Setting her flute case down, she rest on hand on her hip as she watches him.
"You know, you could get into some serious trouble doing that."

"Nah.. I'm like Robin Hood. Stealing from the rich, giving to the poor." -Aka himself. He spoke matter of factly as the voice spoke, procuring another quarter before he realized it was feminine, and cast a glance at the source.
Ah..! A cutie. A regular blonde bombshell. Letting the silver coin join the others in his pocket he straightened his posture, grinning at her despite the fact that he probably looked ridiculous... khaki sorts and Pong tshirt clinging to his skin. He bet she could see his muscles. Well.. atleast the mild (at best) definition that he regarded as muscles.
That pierced eyebrow raised, trying to tempt her. Any girl was 'his kind of girl', but if she was going to stand and fuss about right and wrong... well that was a bit more difficult.- "You gonna tell on me sweetie? Or would you like to take a swim too?"

She didn't know what caught her attention more, the piercing or the fact that he was a being bad. All she knew was she could help by stare for a moment, until he mention swimming. Drawing her out of her fantasy for a moment as she smirks at him.
Glancing down at her light green long sleeve shirt, and her own khaki jeans she shook her head slowly. Lifting her hand to brush her blond hair from her face, she takes a small step back away from the fountain "I'm not dressed for swimming. In fact if I knew was swimming today, I would have brought my bathing suit." as much as her gut was telling her he was wrong. It was those eyes making her forget what she wanted to do.
Did she really just say that?
Damn her and her weakness for men that were bad boys.

"If you wanted to skinny dip, I'd be more than happy to join you." -He answered in response to her answer, grinning like a fool. He was pretty certain she wouldn't be accepting THAT offer, but if she did, then hot damn! He certainly didn't mind a little naked romp through the park fountain if she didn't.
Crouching down, once more, he began to sift through the change, trying to recall how much he'd collected so far. Well.. oh well, he'd just have to get alot.
Pulling another quarter from the water, he placed it on his thumb, flicking it her way.- "Make a wish?"
-She sure was cute. And unfamilar. Maybe she went somewhere other than the Pines? Probably wouldn't know him, which could be a good thing at times.-

Catching the coin in both her hands, she blinks for a moment as she eyes him. Did he really just ask her to skinny dip? With a light chuckle, she shakes her head finding him rather amusing for a moment "I'll pass on the skinny dipping. Beside, I don't think my school would approve of it." Her eyes wander for a moment, before she looks back up at his face.
"A wish? Hmmm..." closing her eyes, she thought for a moment before she opens them again. Tossing the coin back towards him, she cross her arms under her chest "So why are you in the fountain stealing the coins for the poor as you put it?" her foot tap brush against her flute case resting on the ground just a few inches from her.

-He doubted most schools would approve. But the information was offered, and he took a moment to think about it. Probably a Crystal girl. She certainly looked fashionable enough.
His eyes settled on her chest, taking a moment to debate if she was an orange or a grapefruit. It be easier to tell if the shirt clung just a little tighter. His devious thought, brought forth a devious action, hand reaching down to splash playful at her, a few drips reaching far enough to get her legs.-
"I was waiting here for you to wish for me of course."
-Even he knew that was freaking cheesey as hell, so he offered her a rule answer as well, brushing his wet hair back over his shoulder again.-
"The stores around here are screwing us, jacking up the prices and stuff just because they know they can with so many highschoolers around. I'm just grabbing the extra I need to pick up my 'homework'."

Melinda gasps as she took a few steps back, her eyes narrow on him before she laughs "Are you trying to get me wet?" she rolls up her sleeves just alittle as a smirk forms "You know, keep that up and I'll fight back." crossing her arms under her chest again, she takes a few steps back towards the fountain. He knee resting against the stone as she watches him, finding herself glad that she look like she was always blushing.
"How much more do you need?" she left his other comment alone, just for the fact it made her chuckle on the inside. Reaching down into the fountain, she runs her fingers over a couple of the coins. Pulling her hand out, she drys it off on the back of her jeans.

"You could say that." -He smirked as the lewd comment slipped from him. He really did have an issue with word vomit sometimes.. keeping what other people considered inappropriate comments to himself. Luckily enough this time, it wasn't 'that' bad. It was possible she'd mistake it for the more innocent connotation.-
-The sudden playfulness seemed a dare, and he kicked at the water lightly, sending a few more sprinkles her way.- "I like my ladies tough." -He croaned, digging into his pocket to answer her question.
He liked all ladies. Anything human that walked and had lady parts really. But it had all started with the strong ladies. Lara Croft, Mai Shiranui, Jill Valentine, bad a** babes.
Holding out a glob of soggy bills and a handful of change, he grinned.- "$58, plus the $4 I've collected so far. I'm $3 short."

Jumping back again, she laughs before she shakes her head "Tough huh? Like you? Or are you a sweet teddy bear under that bad boy image of yours?" moving carefully towards the fountain again, she leans down as if to pick up a couple of coins.
This wasn't the case though, for as she brought her hand up she threw what little water was cupped in her palm at him. As she shakes her hand dry, she bends down again to grab up her flute case.
Popping it open, she pulls out a small wallet that was black with a simple green snake sewn into it. "Here, that way you don't have to continue searching through the water." holding out a five dollar bill, she gives him a sincere smile.

"I'll be whatever you want me to be baby." -He mused as he picked up another coin, regarding it mildly before shoving it in his pocket.
It was like he had a roladex of stupid things to say, all filed away by keyword for the moment they were needed. They just spit out automatically. But it wasn't something that he minded really. If he always had the first word, he was always in control. It was more unsettling in fact.. when he didn't have something to say.
Her sly rouse, caught him off guard, stumbling back with a laugh as the handful of water pelted him, shaking his head as he brushed back his drippy locks again.
Just as soon as he was ready to turn the big guns on her however, a crisp $5 was dangling from her fingers, the offer like a chorus of angels.
He didn't mind digging through the fountain now. But women paying him money? He wasn't going to turn that down. Making his way out of the water, he walked over to her, but when his hand reached out he didn't take the money.
A hand pressed against her back, yanking her up against his extremely soaking chest. And he grinned like a hyena. He knew she knew he knew that he was just ******** with her, getting her wet for playing with that little minxy game and splashing water at him.- "You're the best babe!" -He proclaimed innocently enough as he smiled down to her, waiting for her to pull away.-

Melinda gasps as she felt the cold water soak her shirt and her chest, causing her to shiver as she pulls away from him. She wasn't mad though, and normally any girl would slap Lucas. Melinda wasn't like other girls though, she didn't really have a mean bone in her body unless you really hurt her to the point she was in tears. So she stood there, looking down at her soaking wet shirt that now clung to her like a second skin.
Looking up at him, she pushes at his chest again playfully "That wasn't cool at all." even as she said that, she was laughing "I should push you back into the fountain, but I have a feeling I be joining you." lifting the bottom of her shirt, she rings it out. Her mind so focused on wringing the water out, that she forgot about that she wasn't wearing a second shirt like normal which allowed her belly ring to show.

-She squirmed and pushed, and he released her quickly enough, admiring his handywork now that it was done. Part of it had genuinely been to make her laugh, which had been a grand success, but he wouldn't be a red blooded male if he didn't admit that part of it was to get a better look at 'the goods'.-
"Good call." -He agreed matter of factly, getting ready to tell her to stop wringing out her shirt if she wanted to win the wet tshirt contest. But something else caught his eye. Girly skin. AND a sweet little belly ring.
His fingers went to her skin like a magnet, two fingers tips touching just below the bit of jewelry, as his grin widened.- "Woahhhh. Piercing buddies."
"Who knew I was going to meet my soulmate in the freaking water fountain. Make a wish, indeed." -He winked, finally now taking the cash with the hand that wasn't rest on her stomach.-

Blinking a few times, she looks down at her stomach where his hand was as well as her belly ring. Glad again that she was naturally red in the cheek, she lifts her hand to brush at her hair "Last years birthday present from my parents, after begging and pleading with them. Then making a promise that I wouldn't get anything else other then my ears done." taking another small step back, she lets go of the hem of her shirt so it once again hides her stomach.
"Soul mate? That sounds like a line." a smile creeps across her lips as she place her hands on her hips "And who said my wish was finding a soul mate anyways? For all you know, it could have just been you getting out of the fountain."
Leaning back down, she place her wallet back inside the flute case before closing it "So what kind of homework requires you needing sixty five dollars?"

-It wasn't often that girls tolerated him this long, so he was devouring the encounter. When the oppurtunity arose to 'impress' her, he took it, sticking his hand out in greeting.- "Oh man, how rude of me."
"I'm Lucas Hendricks. Gamer tag Luver Under Cover." -He offered her the information, expecting her to know it. But just in case...-
"I'm a gaming whiz, compete worldwide and that jazz. Travel, excitement, and some serious a** kicking." -Okay.. so he'd only been out of the country once.. and he didn't even place in a trophy winning spot. But whatever. He was one to exaggerate.-
"Barren Pines totally scouted me for their school." -He coughed a little suddenly, not exactly sure why, but he brushed it off, giving her a very proud grin.-
