When doing a spell like knot magick, do you HAVE to take a bath before it? And do you have to have a magick circle? whee

i dont know about a bath... but perhaps meditate to cleanse your soul.

but then again, im not sure in speaking words makes spells work, in my mind its mostly (forgot the word) in your mind persay. but other things that are more spititual like mediatation, healing, divination. it all falls under faith.

Oooh, very well put. I will need to agree with Kuri and say that there are some spells that you can cleanse your mind completely and be cleansed enough to suffice. But if for a very complicated spell, or you just cant cleanse yourself enough, then go ahead.

I would say generally when people go to take a bath before spell work or ritual it is to cleanse the body to get ready to work in the magical circle or space.

However if you do other such techniques aforementioned such as meditation before your knot spell work I believe as long as you hold the belife that you are ready to preform the magik and you feel that you have done the needed preliminary excersie for entrance into the place between worlds that you create in the magical circle. Then you are ready to go so to say.

So pretty much I would say taking a bath before ritual is up to the person regardless of tradition you follow.

Toys stores. But most of them are the cardboard ones, so they don't quite work.

And the losing weight thing? It depends on how much you want to lose.
Small amounts? Cut down what you're eating a bit and eat more veggies. Cut back on pop as well, you'd be surprised how much sugar is in pop.

Thanks for the info. The thing is I eat healthy meals about every day, and having pop is really rare for me. (and I usally drink caffein free stuf when I do get soda) Yea, I'm still with me family. xd

Actually, the cardboard ones do work. It really dosn't matter wether the board is cardboard, plastic, wood, or even notebook paper, so long as you have the alphabet, yes, no, and numbers (depending on what you want to ask you don't even need all of that), and a planchette (in case you don't know what that is, it's the little pointer).

As for how to use one, there's a whole thread about that somewhere (along with Dreamer's whole rhetoric about how they tend too be one of the not-so-safe spiritual tools for beginners).

Anyone have a simple talisman protection spell? Like something written down on paper that you keep with you to keep you safe? I don't have access to things like herbs and oils, so something simple or written would be nice.

Is it possible to simply wish for the spell to cast? Must rituals be performed? I'd like to speak a one-word spell and have the effects cast in that instant. How does it REALLY work?

I actually rarely use rituals with my spells. I usually just send out a silent request to the universe, and imigine, in great detail, what I want, and it usually works. I think that ritual work is appealing to some because it adds a sort of tangibility to the spell, before its effects come about. 3nodding
