Life didn't get any better than this. Kyllae, K'ae now, was living it up. Not only was she a fabulously wonderful person, in her eyes, she also had a sidekick now! But Lofrewth was better than a sidekick, even. She was a partner in crime, in fun, in good times and bad. She was love, she was life, she was happyness, and Lofrewth was hers! That was one of the best feelings in the world, and K'ae found immense pleasure in that fact.
Lofrewth was happy as well. She was green, she was beautiful, she had Hers, and there was plenty of fun to be had! That was important, because Lofrewth really did like to have fun. <> Lofrewth urged, wiggling in place as K'ae finished oiling the small but charismatic green.
"Hold still silly," K'ae scolded, mildly, beaming at her dragon's hide as it practically glowed. "As a girl, you deserve to look your absolute best, and if you don't hold still, I can't get you all clean. Besides, do you want your skin to crack?"
<> Lofrewth informed, but also complied and held still while K'ae finished.
"There. That wasn't so bad. Now, where would you like to go?" K'ae asked, as she put away the rag and oil, and looked to Lofrewth expectantly.
<> Lofrewth declared, marching out of the Weyrling barracks, head held high, eyes dancing with blue. Surely they were bound to run into someone, if they walked around the Weyr. There were always riders or candidates or someone about, and Lofrewth decided she would simply have to find someone who would have fun with her and Hers. To speed things up a little, she did lead the way to the general vicinity of the candidate barracks, and gave a little trumpet, not of distress, but to get attention. Hopefully that would get someone to come see her. Candidates liked dragons, right? It seemed like a good way to get someone to play with her. At least, in Lofrewth's mind.
"What're you doing?" Kyllae questioned, catching up with the bright green.

For once in... Faranth only knows how long, Daeluin had some time to herself. All the chores had been finished, so the candidate had been given a free day. A free day, to do whatever you wanted. Anything! Well, short of leaving the Weyr. That was rather difficult to do, sans transportation save for your own feet. Not that Daeluin had anywhere to go, anyway. She was perfectly content and happy within the Weyr! But, she had NOTHING to do. At the current moment, the dark-skinned candidate was sitting on her bed, swinging her feet over the edge.
Back and forth. Back and forth. Isn't that exciting?
Well, no. Not really. Daeluin was bored shitless, to be honest. Most of her friends had already gone off to do something and had left her alone in the barracks, without leaving any notes, hints, or directions as to where they went and/or what they were doing. Daeluin lacked any personal chores to be done; her laundry was clean, all her belongings neatly put away in their correct place. Tiki had been fed, and oiled, and was now lazily lounging around somewhere in the barracks. On an empty, vacant bunk, probably.
"Ugh, this sucks," she grumbled to herself, flopping back on her cot and just laid there. Still swinging her feet, but now she stared at the ceiling. Maybe a message would appear in the knots and whorls of the wood, suggesting something fun to do! Luckily for Daeluin, something of the sort was about to happen. Not a call to action by some message written in the ceiling, but rather, a dragonet's trumpet! She was interested. SOMETHING was happening outside, and she was going to find out what it was! It was certainly better than sitting here on her a** all day.
Whistling shrilly to call Tiki to her, Daeluin waited for the green to settle herself carefully on one shoulder, tail draped around her neck like a necklace. She marched out of her room, down the hallway, and outside into the sun! She quickly scanned the area around them and spotted a weyrling and her green dragon. The girl was vaguely familiar; they had been candidates together, but had never really spoken. Daeluin waved in a friendly greeting to her nonetheless, Tiki adding her own greeting by way of a mimic of Lofrewth's trumpet.

Lofrewth called, and lo and behold, someone came. "I guess you were right," K'ae admitted, to Lofrewth, except that Lofrewth was no longer there. Lofrewth, upon seeing this new person, and with a flit to boot, was overly excited! Fun! She bounched and charged at Daeluin, but before she ran into the girl, she turned, and preceeded to run in circles around the candidate. Fun! Fun! Lofrewth was having fun and that was what was important in life. Unlike some of her serious or violent siblings, Lofrewth worried about little, antagonized over less, and was most concerned about things she could do with Hers. Happy was the best thing to be, in Lofrewth's mind. And who could disagree?
<> Lofrewth requested, trilling happily as she finally skidded to a stop, wiggling like a puppy as she looked up at Daeluin. K'ae caught up, returning Daeluin's wave, and recognizing her as someone vaguely familiar. They had been candidates together, right? K'ae was fairly sure of that, but couldn't recall the girls name, or remember ever talking to her before. Therefore, introductions were in order, and she extended a calloused hand for shaking, offering Daeluin a grin as well. "'Lo there, stranger. I'm K'ae, and this bundle of energy is Lofrewth. Sorry if we've disturbed you, she's a bit excited, and she wanted someone to play with," K'ae explained, with a shrug. Dragons, what could you do?
<> Lofrewth reminded, as she looked over at Daeluin's flit as well. Instensely curious,
"She tells me to tell you she likes your flit as well," K'ae added, looking over Daeluin's flit as well. K'ae admittedly had a fondness for greens. Both dragons and flits, and decided that a bit of praise was needed. "She is awful pretty," K'ae said, in regards to Tiki. "Does she have a name?"
Lofrewth extended a mental greeting to Tiki of her own, sending happy thoughts the flit's way. After all, greens were the best color ever! Girl power to the max! Lofrewth also wasn't much versed in the human idea of 'personal space'. After admiring Tiki, Lofrewth leaned forward, to sniff at Daeluin with curiousity. Lofrewth very much liked other girls, and if this girl was a potential playmate, Lofrewth wanted to make sure she didn't forget her. And smells were a lot easier to remember than faces or names, at least for Lofrewth, anyway. Besides, humans were always doing silly things and changing their hair and changing clothes. How was a poor dragon to remember all these things? Smells were good, so Lofrewth stored Daeluin's scent in her memory bank, for recollection later.

Well. This was going to be an interesting afternoon! Daeluin was grateful for something to do, though. She really could not complain! She grinned watched Lofrewth run in circles around her; though, she had to admit. she was slightly startled when the green had charged her. I mean, yeah, sure, she had sounded happy.. but you never knew with a young dragon, especially one that was not yours. How was Daeluin supposed to know she was friendly, and only wanted to play? Luckily, Lofrewth made her intentions well known. Her actions spoke volumes! Daeluin's smile turned to a grin, and she erupted in peals of merry laughter at the green's antics. "My, my! She's very active!" She observed with awry grin and giggle.
Tiki liked this new playmate! The green firelizard was almost as happy to have someone to play with as Lofrewth was! She trilled happily, then settled into a rapid succession of chirps, chitters, and squawks- which roughly translated to "Hi, How'reyou? Who'reyou? Whatchadoing? Wannaplay? Nicetoemeetya!" She leapt from Daeluin's shoulder in flew in circles above Lofrewth, also mimicking the green in that way. Daeluin's head was just about spinning when K'ae finally managed to approach her, hand outstretched for greeting.
"Nice to meet you, too! I'm Daeluin, or Lulu, please. that's Tiki! Thank you, she is very pretty," Lulu admitted with a smile and glance to her green. Her attention quickly returned to K'ae. Daeluin stood easily, her weight put on one leg so one hip was stuck out, her arms held lightly at her sides to be used for gesturing. She talked with her hands just as much as her voice! "Oh, you didn't disturb us!" Lulu quickly assured K'ae, holding out her hands, palm facing the weyrling. "In fact, you gave us something to do! All us candidates have a free day, but I didn't have anything to do!" Daeluin explained soothingly, glancing back and forth between K'ae and Lofrewth. "Looks like that's what you were looking for, too. Something to do?"
