Okay, so I certainly don't want to beat anyone to death with my wedding plans, but I would love to share with the guild. So, instead of posting in random places where everyone will see it whether they want to or not, here's my thread where I can share, but if people come in to look, I think they are plenty forewarned of what they will find. So, if you are interested in this sort of thing, take a look, if not, you can ignore it. Hopefully this will keep everyone happy. 3nodding

So, here are the basics of my wedding. My colors are red and cream/white with black accents, I want a simple, elegant look, very clean. I'd like a more Japanese feel to the whole thing since Japan is a great love of both me and my fiance (hopefully, by the time we get married we will have lived there for a while). Just a reminder, I'm going to be planning for a while, if we get the job in Japan we aren't getting married until September of 2008, and even if we don't it won't be until September of 2007, so there is plenty of time for me to change my mind about everything a million times. sweatdrop ninja xd

So, I've been looking at cakes to get an idea of how I want it to look. I know I don't want the traditional round tiers, but that's about all I know for sure. Here are three I like:  I love this cake, but I'm not sure how it would look with my color scheme.   I love the look of the one with the red paper flowers, but I also love the variety in how the tiers are stacked as well as the paper cranes on the other (I hate how cluttered it looks, though). So, these two would probably be combined into one idea if I used it, but I still really love that cherry blossom design on the first one... I'm also not sure how these cakes would look with a cake-topper, and my fiance definitely wants one, so... let me know what you all think...

I think the second cake is really pretty. I like it the best of all three. ^_^

The first cake is pretty..but way too many flowers on it. I would like it better if there were fewer flowers on it

Okay, so I am bored at lunch and thought I would update this with some of the things I have for my wedding. However, I am also very lazy, so I am just using some images from my profile from a wedding forum. redface xd Here's the church:  I have different earrings now (which are so awesome!), below this image:   Hair ideas:  Flowergirls:  Bridesmaid dresses:  My dress! whee This is pre-fittings, so don't worry, it won't really be that large when I wear it! blaugh  A lot of randomness:     Invites:  Gifts:   And finally, the first page of my program... kind of, I think I have changed it since this....  Okay, so there is my major wedding update! I know weddings aren't really everyone's thing, but I'll be sure to post the link to my pics after the wedding (in a little over a month, I still can't believe it!). eek xd blaugh whee

Thanks, girls. It's getting so close, and I still have so much to do! eek sweatdrop whee I'll be sure to post more pictures as I get them. I really am so excited for the wedding and all of the little details. Even if no one else notices them, they really reflect my fiance's and my personalities. 3nodding My shower and bachelorette party were last Saturday, so I'll be sure to post some pictures as soon as I can get them (my camera is broke and my FI didn't want me to take his out drinking crying xd ).
