Mashaka had woken up early, he was enjoying his new home and was actually growing to like women, which was a strange thought for him. He stretched big, and began to walk around. As he sauntered around he spotted one of the lioness that were his new mother. Smiling he walked over to her, "Good morning Mizu." he greeted her.
Mizu nodded to the little cub before looking over the lands stretching out. She rather enjoyed her days when she was't having to look over Bela's shoulder making sure the lioness didn't do anything. Instead she was watching Kana from afar as she practice dancing about giggling and humming. She then turned her eyes to the young male cub. "It seems your warming up to us rather well." She teased him before pulling him into her arms as she began to groom him.
Mashaka purred loudly in his new mothers arm, actually enjoying the attention the lioness was giving him. "I think I like it here" Mashaka told her. He looked around spotting his sister, "And I know Kana likes it."
"You know its funny we get more attention here away from our REAL family then we would if we ever stayed with our father." he looked up into the lioness's eyes, he was falling in love with his mother, in away that he never thought was possible... he though he would hate every female for ever.
She smiled as she licked his cheek as she purred louder then him. "Watch it little man you just might make me think your not all that bad yourself." She teased as she chuckled a ltitle before looking to see the sun start to get more to the center of the sky. "I will have to hunt soon what would you like me to bring back?" She asked as she continued to groom him.

Mashaka's stomach growled at the mention of food, he was eating very well in this new pride, more adults with still more cubs though each was feed equally no one forgotten. "I think I would like..... Antalope." Mashaka announced. He liked the bigger game it had more meet on it, which meant more food for a growing boy. "I am getting bigger you know, I need a lot of food and meet." he told her earnestly.
She nodded as she stood stretching out a little. "I'll finish your bath when I return or you can get Kana to do it. I'm sure she wouldn't mind." She teasing him as she nuzzled his neck before she ran off up the creator side to sump over the edge and dissapear she returned not to long after with a large antelope and a smaller one making sure she had enough the small one was draped over her body as the large one was dragged by her mouth. She pulled them to the two cubs in her charge as she let the both eat first before taking the scraps.
Mashaka was pleasantly surprised when his mother returned, "Wow you out did yourself!" he shouted, when he had asked for antelope for dinner he thought it was a tall order, but yet his mother returned with not one but two, "There is only three of us here, and you have brought us enough food for an army." he chuckled telling her, he began to start preparing the meet for eating, removing the stuff that wasn't editable, just like he was taught to.
She chuckled softly as she watched him shaking her head. "Always bring back more when you can Masha for you never know if others might be hungry." She said as she looked to the others about seeing another cubs came out to snag some food and she didn't mind in the least seeing the colors of the cub that resembled her Lati. So of course she would not chace the cub away.

Mashaka took his fill and was pleased, he sat back watching other cubs feed. "Mizu" he called softly, he switched between calling the lioness by her name and mother, not always sure what he was comfortable with. "Do you ever wish you had cubs of your own instead of me and Kana?" he looked at his sister and at the older lioness, the didn't look anything like the lioness who they now thought of us their mother, to some that might make a difference.
She blinked a moment before smiling a little as she shook her head. "No Masha I would never want to think of you or Kana as not my own yes I know I'm not the best mother I get mad a lot but I love you as my own. Besides who would want to be with me to have cubs." She said smirking as she pulled the little male over to her as she cleaned off his maw once he was done.
Mashaka smiled, it was strange for him to have a mother who wanted him and only him, sure his father had loved him well enough but he was always so busy and this lioness, loved him and his sister even though they were someone elses babes. "Even if you get angry Mizu you are still a great mommy, I mean look at all the cubs you fed here tonight." he pointed out to her, he wanted to make the lioness happy, let her know that to him she had made a huge difference. "Hey without you I would still be super angry all the time, plotting the death of my father's mate."
She chuckled a little nodding. "Yes I do believe this is true though I still wish you father would have tried to stop me and Bela from taking you. Oh the thrill I would have gotten for teaching him a lesson." She spat out angrily. "I really do not understand his foolishness." She said as she glared a bit off into the distance.

Mashaka couldn't help but let out a chuckle, the image of Mizu and Bela fighting his dad off was rather amusing, Mashaka did still love his dad but he was angry about how things turned out, he should have cared more. "I love you Mizu" Mashaka mumbled, before being called off by other cubs to go and play after all they all had a full belly of energy to burn off thanks to Mizu.
She smiled as she watched him leave as she finally stood and began to tare into the meat the words Masha said about having cubs of her own weighed heavy in her heart. She thought about it as she ate. She watched the cubs playing thinking a moment. It would be reasonable if she did have cubs...giving something to her pride and all.
