The first experience I can remember in my life was in one of my first houses, it was apparently haunted, and nobody had told me until a few years ago.
I was around the age of 6-8 years old, I was taking a bath and I saw a girls reflection in the mirror, she looks young, maybe 12 or so, and she just stood there staring at me.
The second time I had something happen was that same house, I saw a baby walking out of my older brothers room.
The third time, I heard a female voice in my bedroom ask if I wanted to say a prayer.
My mum would lock my brothers and I in the basement if we misbehaved, and when we were down there she would have the lights shut off (they're controlled from upstairs, on the other side of the door.)
I would always hear things being moved around down there, or see shadows moving around.
In grade five at my aunt's house I was watching a tv show, when I saw the same girl as before standing in a doorway looking at me, I ran off crying, honestly.
A few other times have been minor things, things dissappearing, etc.
Also, I sometimes seem to have... Visions? I have been predicting things in the future, like last night I imagined if I let my buddy drive the van next time we'd crash. I didn't let him drive tonight, I did instead, and while we were cruising an accident took place right in front of us.
I can also seem to sense when there is a spirit or some sort of supernatural presence in a room, I get a really heavy feeling on me, like my body is being pushed down.

The thing about your mom reminds me of the Sixth Sense, when the kids lock him in the closet. That would creep me out to know I'm locked down there. gonk
What other visions have you had? I'm just curious...
Your experiences are creepy though, especially since you said you saw what looked like children.

That would creep me out to know I'm locked down there. gonk What other visions have you had? I'm just curious... Your experiences are creepy though, especially since you said you saw what looked like children. There has not really been too much else, just small thing really. I used to have a doll, extremely old, an antique of my mum's. It would spin around and play music if you turned it for about 3 minutes. I remember one day at that house we were living at, the doll started playing the music on it's own and spinning. Another time I thought I saw somebody walking around in our backyard by the shed, but nobody saw him when we went outside. I mean, things like this could have honestly been anything, maybe the doll was just messing up. Something else that is interesting and not 100% proven to be anything. Some people believe that possession starts with a weak person, mentally and emotionally weak, which I am. Two years ago I started getting very depressed, I'd cry for no reason, and hurt people, and myself, all for no reason at all, it just happened. I looked s**t up a long time after and found out that it could have been possession from a spirit in the house I currently live in. I have almost proven to myself that this house is haunted, I set up a camera in my basement more than once and let it record while I was upstairs doing my own thing. An orb was clearly visible floating and flying around in patterns a few times. And before I turned off the camera at the end, a big blue light flashed across the screen. I slowed down the videos, showed them to family, and they all said they don't think it's a ghost or anything, but there's definitely something that happened? That doesn't make sense to me personally though.

Do you still have the videos that you could upload?
I had a doll like that before that my grandfather brought me back from Paris. I'm not sure how yours was but it was the key in the back, turn it and the head will move while a song plays kind. If the head got caught up on something, even the dress the doll was wearing it would stop and end up going off at other times. Not saying yours didn't have something paranormal, just saying if they get hung up at all they'll finish the song later if they become unstuck.
The depression thing... things like depression can be genetic, and it can be caused by an event or trauma. You admit you're emotionally weak and maybe things just get to you more than they do other people. Depression, caused by the paranormal or not can be very serious and it's not always just an 'I'm sad' feeling. It can make you physically hurt, push people away, harm yourself, and so on. You should seek out counseling and talk to your doctor to see if that can help before you jump to possession. If it is just a natural occurrence of depression, that could draw things that would feed off of the negativity though. People who have claimed to be possessed said it felt like a black out, they couldn't remember, or it was like sleep walking and they were aware but they couldn't control their body while things happened.
When you were filming did the camera have a light on at that time? Or a light near it that could cause reflections? Most orbs, even on camera are insects like moths or can be large pieces of dust, fur, string, and even lint. If you're positive it wasn't any of those or anything else, what other features did it have? Like did it seem to give off it's own light? Did it pass behind anything and come out from behind again?
The blue flash is interesting though. I wouldn't let your family's reaction get you down, just keep filming and taking pictures. Try and debunk your butt off and see what's left that you can't explain... Maybe if you film more the orb or blue flash will show up around certain times, or do something new that you could present to your family.

Or a light near it that could cause reflections? No videos to upload, I lost them all. First off, my depression is a lot more than an 'I am sad' feeling. I've definitely physically hurt over my depression I'd say, I've also pushed a lot of people away in my life, harmed myself plenty, chose drugs and alcohol, etc etc. The list goes on. I was seeing a doctor for it for over a year and she just let me go about a month ago. Nothing was working and I apparently wasn't putting in a big enough effort. And I doubt it's genetic, the only person I know in my family who has depression as bad as me is my uncle and he's not BLOOD related. There was no lights or anything that could have done it, not that I've observed anyway, I lost the video so I can't really tell you.

Paranormally speakingl, you could be sensitive to the other worldly things, and the girl that you've seen in two different locations could have been/be attached to you somehow. It's a high possibility that the house could have been haunted, and the video could be great proof.
Ok now, to the part that bugged me: She locked you guys down in the basement as punishment? Are you freaking kidding me? That's not discipline, that "I don't wanna deal with you ********" and trying to escape parenting. I have no respect for anyone who does that to a child instead of disciplining with stern words, and spankings. *raeg*
=_=; Now, to your depression. It could be medical, and last time I checked most possessions don't just cause a prolonged depression. Depression can be either psychological or medical, meaning that it could be in your head and only you can get rid of it, or it's a chemical imbalance that can be fixed with medication. I doubt your depression is paranormal, and I suggest finding a good outlet to release whatever you have pent up and slowly ease it off. I go through depression spurts, but mine are psychological not medical. Drawing usually helps me.
Which I just remembered, any sounds you heard in the basement could possibly have been just the house settling and creaking as most houses do. If you're curious as to whom the girl and baby might be, I suggest looking into the history of the land and/or house to see if there has been any deaths or traumatic incidents. Traumatic incidents can leave imprints on the energy and result in a residual haunting. Maybe you could find out the name of the girl ^^ She didn't seem hostile, so it would be fun to find out who she was before she died.

I hope it didn't sound like I was saying your depression wasn't serious, that's not how I meant it if I came off that way. I know how challenging it can be to live with. It runs in my family. I think you should seek out another doctor, it can take awhile to find the right fit. Sounds like your doctor gave up on you, which is wrong to do to someone dealing with depression. Another explanation could be that you're slightly empathic, meaning maybe you're picking up feelings from others around you whether they are living beings or spirits. Being empathic can give you mood swings, make you withdrawn, or seem like you're day dreaming and unfocused.
