 The Hokage Monument, or Hokage Mountain, is the most representative trait of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. It is a mountain that has had the faces of all the Hokage carved into the stone. During the first episode, Naruto Uzumaki painted the faces of the four Hokages as a joke, and revealed that he planned to surpass them, stating that his face will someday too be in the monument. At the beginning of the series, the Monument had the faces of the First Hokage, the Second Hokage, the Third Hokage, and the Fourth Hokage. During the timeskip, the face of the Fifth Hokage was added to the mountain, as Naruto found out in the first episode of Naruto Shippūden.

A small burst of flame erupted inside the head of the Fourth Hokage. Matsuya emerged from the flame, brushing himself off. He slowely walked to a seemingly normal rock on the wall of the cave and made a simple handsign. "Kai." The rock dissapeared. Matsuya entered the door that was behind it. The rock replaced itself as Matsuya closed the door behind him.

Matsuya emerged from the rock yet again. He walked to the edge of the cave he was in. He burst into flames again. He reappeared ontop of the monument itself. He looked out over the vilalge, taking it in. This is what he fought for. This village, its people.

Luna was walking around the area, and she looked up at the Hokgae faces from the ground below. "Soon Heichi, I will avenge you." She noticed Matsuya on top of the rocks and started to climb the stairs but hesitated, "Does he really want the company of an academy student?" She kept going and reached the top, she walked over to where he was standing and bowed "Um, Matsuya-sama, Im sorry to interrupt."

Matsuya turned his head to look at her. "Hm? Oh, hello Luna." Matsuya turned the rest of his body so he was completly facing her. "What can I do for you?" He smiled a little.

As Shun walked threw the town he noticed the monuments,but there seemed to be someone up there "I wonder who's up their..."Shun started to run and got to the steps,he started to walk up and he saw another person "Hmm is this some sort of meeting grounds or something?"Shun said quietly to himself as he kept walking up the stairs

Shun finally got to the top and saw a girl bowing down and what seemed to be a kage "Umm well this is a surprise,Hello Kage-sama"Shun said as he scratched his head and laughed at the luck of him to run into the Kage

Matsuya's hand moved to the inner pocket on his robe. He took something out and started to mess with it in between his thumb and index finger. He looked at Shun. "Hello. I take it you're an academy student, correct?" He looked at Luna and the boy. There were now three soon-to-be genin in the village. That was a complete squad. He needed to deside on their leader though. It was either Daichi or Nyoko. And he was leaning towards Nyoko since Daichi was a sannin and wandered as he pleased.

Shun looked at the Kage and put his hands in his pockets "Yep, Shun is the name,and Speed is my game,hehehe catchy isn't it?"Shun said joking around with the Kage and wondered if this could be his teacher,or possibly leader

Major Dangerousk Matsuya turned his head to look at her. "Hm? Oh, hello Luna." Matsuya turned the rest of his body so he was completly facing her. "What can I do for you?" He smiled a little. "Well umm.." she didnt look him in the eyes, she was embarressed, "I wanted to thank you for finding me a teacher, and I had made you something..."

Matsuya nodded at Shun. "Umm...." He looked over his shoulder, at the top of his office. He noticed Daichi and Sev standing there. "Go back to my office and go to the roof. I'm pretty sure there's someone there to teach you. Tell him I sent you." Matsuya looked back at Shun, smirking. "My name's Matsuya Komihachi. I'm Hokage and the Black Hand of Konohagakure." Matsuya turned his attention back to Luna, his face turning a slight pink color. "You made something...for me?" He pointed at his own chest.

Your the first person who helped me on the way to avenging my family." she walked up to him and pressed a neclace with a crystal on it into his hand. "This is a very special healing crystal, handed down from generations of the Brabenheart family. Hiechi gave it to me." She looekd up at him "Until Im a chunnin, this is all I can do for my village, protect the Hokage."

Matsuya thought for a minute, looking at his palm. "I see. Your brother gave this to you? Well..." Matsuya closed his palm. "Ok, I'll take this. But one day you're going to get it back. I know how important your brother was to you." Matsuya put both the necklace and the other thing he had been holding in his pocket. He looked at Shun again. "Me? No, not unless you want me as a teacher. If you don't, and I cant blame you, then your teacher will be either Daichi Lothar or Nyoko." Matsuya made a few handsigns. "Find me if you need anything else." He burst into flames, leaving.

Luna watched as the flames dissapeared. She turned around to Shun. "Im sorry I never introduced myself, my name is Luna. I hope we will be squadmates" she smiled "Please excuse me, I have some training to do" she ran down the stairs of the monument.
