The is a RP involving Dr. Kyou, Lazarus, Hazeline and Xiu
Place: The Lab
Time: Mid-morning.

Xiu clutched at the bag containing a couple selected fruits. The white frei was nervous and the odd thing was…he did not know why. He was just going to visit a …friend. Xiu wondered how Lazarus was. The last the frei had seen of the Sigel, the Sigel appeared to have lost consciousness; after telling the frei to ‘go away’. Xiu had then been obliged to leave as Hazeline seemed more than eager to go. Xiu sighed. It couldn’t be helped. Lazarus had behaved inappropriately…
It had been a couple of days the incident. Grey wings shifted slightly and the frei turned to give his guardian a glance. Hazeline appeared tensed and the white frei couldn’t help but feel partly responsible for that. He had; afterall, requested that he’d be allowed a visit to the lab. To see Lazarus. Hazeline’s expression back then was grim but the guardian had obliged the white raevan by picking up the phone to make an appointment with the Doctor and…oddly enough, Dr. Kyou had agreed.
There was something worrying about that as well. The white frei gave his reflection in the rearview window a glance. Was the doctor planning to see if the virus had affected him as well? Well, (in Xiu’s opinion), he felt fine. No funny emotions and inclinations…
…
Well…the large dog was bullying the smaller dog.
Xiu frowned. Nah, nothing odd about that. Anyone would be annoyed, right?
Then there was the issue of Halloween and El Día de los Muertos. Hazeline had been worried about those two incoming days and truth be told, so was Xiu. But…it was only two days, right? No need…to drink blood….right?
Xiu gave an inaudible swallow; the memory of the blood as it flowed from the packet into…
No
He was not about to crave something as…as….bad as that. And yet…
Xiu’s expression turned to that of mild horror when he felt the fangs forming again. No, no, he would not drink blood!
Xiu hazarded another quick glance towards his guardian. Hazeline seemed unaware of the turmoil that was occurring within the white frei. Should he tell Hazeline to turn back? That would certainly arouse her attention; best to go ahead with the visit for now and hope that the Doctor would not notice the fangs…

The car had reached the lab’s parking lot and Xiu gingerly let himself out. Here goes nothing…
“I won’t be seeing Lazarus, just so you know,” said Hazeline as she got out. “I shall probably be in…the lobby or something…,”
“Alright, Hazeline,” said Xiu quietly as the glass door slid open. Then, in a slightly louder voice “Dr. Kyou?”

There was a few moments of silence, then a series of rushed footstep sound started to approach the lobby. Kyou was just putting on his tweed jacket as he entered. The last few days were a mess ever since Lazarus's infection. Kyou had spent a good amount of time looking up viruses and trying to figure out how to cure the infected Sigel. But so far, he hadn't had any luck. Dark shadows were appearing under the handsome scientist's eyes, it looked like he aged a few years in just a few days.
His face brighten up when he saw the familiar face though. "Xiu! So glad to see you." he exclaimed, speeding on a bit towards the white Frei. "Where is Hazeline? Is she doing alright? More importantly, are you doing alright?" he asked, sincerely concerned about the Frei.

Xiu turned in the direction of the footsteps and waited as the figure of the doctor appeared not long after. The doctor looked haggard and in need of a good sleep. Xiu frowned. The presence of a worn out doctor and the absence of Lazarus meant one thing; the doctor hadn’t been able to find a cure for the Sigel. A spark of irritation flared within the frei and this quickly turned to suspicion when the doctor enquired about his health. Did the Doctor think him stupid? Blue eyes stared haughtily down at the ‘concerned’ Doctor’s expression.
…
No, the Doctor’s question was sincere and the white frei felt a small stab of guilt. There was no observable dark aura surrounding the Doctor. Xiu shook his head a couple of times. He was getting rather short tempered lately. He must certainly work at managing this temper of his. “I am fine, thank you,” replied Xiu with a forced smile. “And Hazeline…she seems fine as well, Doctor; still a little shaken but …that is understandable. Of course, with that said, Hazeline has stated her desire to remain here in the lobby,”
“But ummm…I supposed we could cut the idle chatter, Doctor. How is Lazarus doing?” asked Xiu; curiousity and concern battling to gain control. “Has he…recovered?”

To tell the truth, Kyou was more hopeful that this visit was not concerning Lazarus. Although this doesn't mean he hoped something was wrong with Xiu either. He is totally glad that both Hazeline and Xiu are doing fine, but he had hoped that the visit wouldn't come to this.
Kyou frowned as Xiu mentioned about Lazarus condition, although he still tried his best to be optimistic about the situation. "He uh..." Kyou don't know where to begin. However, he can't find an excuse to lie to Xiu either. "I haven't found a cure for his infection yet." He admitted, eyes darting to the floor as if in shame. "He isn't doing too well either, though that doesn't mean he is not uhm, how do I put this... lively. He is quite the contrary." As if to echo this statement, a loud noise of something falling to the floor came from above, vibrating the building a little. The sudden noise made Kyou jumped, but he just closed his eyes and rubbed his left temper with his fingers in frustration.
When he opened his eyes again, there was a certain tiredness to them. "That was him, probably destroying the last shelf standing in the room."

Xiu listened gravely to the doctor’s words; nodding occasionally from time to time. The sudden sound of something large crashing to the ground made Xiu instinctively flare his wings. Blue eyes darted from the ceiling where the loud thud originated to where Hazeline was. The poor woman had moved from her place in the main lobby to where they were and was now giving the Doctor a sheepish nod. One of her hands had reached out to her frei and Xiu found himself holding it.
“I…would like to see him, if I may,” said Xiu after a couple of moments of silence. The grip of his guardian’s hand tightened but Xiu ignored it. “I understand that…that might be rather heavy request to ask but I’d be much obliged if you’d let me. Oh yes, and these are for Lazarus, and you as well,” said Xiu offering the Doctor the bag containing the fruits. The doctor looked like he could do with a few. “I think…there might be a bit of cake in there too,” said Xiu giving his guardian a sideways glance.
“Err…well… I…, I mean, cake is a sort of comfort food for me when I am sick or stressed…,” said Hazeline looking flustered. “But umm…if you are going to see Lazarus, I-I will just hang out here, in the lobby. It’s probably for the better anyway,”
Hazeline hated to admit it but…the thought of meeting Lazarus in the condition that he was currently in scared her.

Accepting the food bundle from Xiu, Kyou nodded his head in gratitude. The mention of cake inside cheered him up just a little. It was too kind of them. "Thank you for the comfort food. I really appreciate it." a small smile tinged with a bit of sadness graced his lips.
His expression returned to that of a more heavier one however, brows furrowed as he considered Xiu's request to see Lazarus. Eyes darting to Hazeline, he wondered if it was really alright for the Frei to do so. But it seemed like she was still a bit unsettled by the incident the other day. Looking back at Xiu now, he could see that the Frei is determined, strong.
Inhaling a long breath, Kyou sighed heavily as he give in to Xiu's determination. "Alright, I can bring you to see him. Hazeline can stay and wait in the lobby. We won't be long, I promise." he said as he nodded in Hazeline's direction.
"Follow me." with a last glance towards Xiu, and food bundle still in hand, Kyou turned around and started to head towards the source of the commotion upstairs. "I must remind you Xiu, that Lazarus is still infected, and he may not... be in his right mind. He just simply... isn't his usual self. I hope you understand."

“Ah, alright then,” said Hazeline as she released her grip on the white frei’s hand and returned the Doctor’s nod. Then turning around, the young woman made herself comfortable on one of the many chairs that were present in the lobby.
Meanwhile, the white frei was following the Doctor. At the Doctor’s warning, the white frei gave a small nod. “I understand, Doctor,” said Xiu quietly as they made their way up the stairs. The noise was getting louder with each step they took and Xiu was beginning to feel apprehensive. “Just…how bad is the infection, Doctor?” enquired Xiu in an attempt to strike a conversation with Dr. Kyou. “And…has there been any news of…the others? Zul and Cordelia?”

"I haven't heard about Zul or Cordelia yet. I hope they are okay too." Kyou said as he approached the spiral staircase leading up. He paused for a moment at the bottom of the steps. "As for how bad the infection is, I think it's best you see it yourself." With that, he slowly ascended, one hand holding the railing while the other still clutching to the food bundle.
A wave of heat hit them midway up the stairs. The higher they went, the higher the temperature escalated. The surroundings were a bit smoky too, it was as if the upper floor was on fire.
It was what? Nearly a week since Lazarus had been trapped in here? The Sigel had already lost track of day and time since he destroyed the only clock in the room on his first rampage. He had since then calmed down a little, tired from the physical exertion, but also mostly from the smoke that seems to take forever to dissipate from the enclosed area. He hate being imprisoned here like an animal, but he also hate not being able to breath properly.
Most of the room had been reduced to charred remains and ashes by now, burnt wood laid everywhere. The walls were filled with crazy writings and drawings drawn from charcoal, most of them were illegible and unrecognizable, but a single drawing stood out - a large pentacle with a 5-point star in the middle of the back wall.
Lazarus paced impatiently in the room, the shelf that he just shoved down out of frustration burnt slowly, it's edges on fire. Then he heard the familiar sound of foot steps up the stairs, his eye whirling towards the open doorway. As he expected, Kyou appeared beyond a few moments later. A renewed surge of anger coursed through his veins as he raced towards the doorway, landing both fists onto the invisible barrier, pounding relentlessly. "LET ME OUT!!!" he shouted. "Let me out now or I'll, I'll..." That was when he saw Kyou looked nervously to the side. Following his line of sight, Lazarus looked in the direction to his right and saw the white Frei.
"Xiu..." his voice deep, smouldering in a menacing manner. "What are you doing here?"

Xiu felt a bead of sweat trickle down his face as they made their way up the stairs. It was getting hotter as they got closer to where Lazarus was. Xiu wondered how the Doctor or anyone else could stand being on the same floor as the Sigel for any extended period of time. And to make matters worse, it would seem that even the air-condition had given up in the battle against Lazarus’ heat wave. The white frei found himself wanting to remove his clothing’s outer layer. It was just so hot!
When the frei thought that he could not possibly stand it any longer, the Doctor had stopped and seemed to be peering into one of the rooms. Xiu followed suit and was stunned to see…
“Lazarus?” exclaimed Xiu with disbelief. The Sigel was in a perfect rage, having burnt everything there was to burn within the room. And all that drawing on the wall….
That pentacle!
Blue eyes narrowed as the frei felt something akin to anger bubbling within him. That symbol! It was…it was…bad! Xiu did not know why but he just…instinctively knew that that …was the symbol should not be there!
A low growl escaped the white frei as he glared at the trapped Sigel within; as though challenging Lazarus to battle. He would not tolerate something so…occult! A-and Lazarus was radiating something that was…
Xiu bristled. An enemy!

It was subtle, but it couldn't escape the scientist's keen eyes. Xiu's expression, the low growl and the bristling. There was no doubt to it, the white Frei is getting aggravated! Kyou was alarmed that such a brief and short meeting could agitate the normally patient and kind Frei.
Putting his free hand onto Xiu's chest, the scientist pushed him back a little gently as he moved in between Lazarus and Xiu. It wouldn't do well if the unknowing Frei suddenly charge into the barrier, especially since he could enter the barrier freely, he just couldn't get out after. "I think that's enough." he said calmly, though with force. "Xiu, we're leaving." It wasn't a suggestion, it was an order as Kyou tugged onto Xiu's arm, forcefully dragging the Frei back towards the spiral staircase. He was determined to put more distance between the madden Sigel and the innocent Frei.
"HEY!! Where the ******** do you think you're going??! Come back here!! I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!!!" Lazarus roared as the duo disappeared from his line of sight. From inside the room, his view outside was severely limited.

So intent was the white frei at the sight of the demonic Sigel that Xiu failed to notice the doctor. Failed to notice that is, until the doctor was pushing him back and away from the Sigel trapped within the room. Fangs formed properly now, the white frei was still glaring at the closed door when the Doctor stopped pushing him. Elated, the white frei was just about to rush and challenge the demon when he felt something strong gripping his arm and pulling him back forcefully. Suitably angered, the frei turned and snapped; fangs instantly coming into contact with the Doctor’s arm. There was a moment of silence then…
A dark patch of blood appeared on the sleeve of the Doctor’s tweed jacket and at the taste of blood, the frei immediately released his hold on the Doctor; looking horrified and panting heavily. The overwhelming taste of blood had knocked the frei back to his senses and in doing so had also turned his eyes and rune red once again.
The frei looked fearfully at the Doctor then at the bloodied arm. “I-I’m sorry!” exclaimed the frei not daring to come any closer to the Doctor he had just bitten. Partly because he was afraid of what the Doctor would do to him and partly because he did not trust himself with the sight of the blood flowing from the Doctor’s arm. Judging by the amount of blood that was staining the jacket, it would be quite a lot.

The shot of pain that came from his arm was definitely unexpected. Kyou let out a strangled cry of pain and shock as he recoiled in horror, hand releasing its grip on Xiu immediately. The fruit bundle Kyou was holding dropped to the floor, the content spilling out. Gripping onto the arm that was bitten, Kyou backed into the wall next to the staircase, his eyes stared in horror, transfixed on the white Frei in front of him. Xiu... Xiu bit him!
This time he saw with his own eyes Xiu's transformation, the gentle light blue that turned into a menacing red almost immediately. He was amazed, yet at the same time he was horrified. That shade of red doesn't look very comforting at the moment, especially when it was the same color as the blood that he is bleeding now.
His grip tighten around his arm, more out of fear than trying to stop the bleeding. "Go away, just go away. Go home!" he cried out loud.

The frei let out a soft whimper as the Doctor screamed those words at him; telling him to leave, to go home. But how could he…possibly see Hazeline now? The change in his rune and eye colour would surely arouse questions and Xiu simply could not bear the thought of explaining to his guardian that he had bitten the Doctor out of something as crass as sheer instinct.
The frei gave the Doctor a look of such utter misery that had it been on any other occasion, the frei might have been forgiven on the spot but the fear in the Doctor’s eyes, the manner in which he grasped his arms…
Xiu swallowed uneasily and felt like retching. The taste of the Doctor’s blood was still strong in his mouth and the frei tried not to think about it. It was…it was…making him sick.
Red eyes snapped open and eyed the terrified Doctor with a glare that was reminiscent of the temple guardian that the frei had been. There was a taste of…something sinister within the Doctor’s blood. Something dark…
Fangs gleamed as the frei bared them at the hunched Doctor. Then, with a snarl, the frei lunged at the Doctor.

Kyou was expecting the normally docile Frei to leave, but it seems like the bite wasn't the last shock of the day. He felt relieved momentarily as Xiu looked miserable for what he just did, maybe he just lost himself for a few seconds there, Kyou wouldn't blame him considering what he had went through lately. But his eyes widen with fear as the red-eyed Frei bared his fangs, panic rising immediately as he lunged in his direction. Instinctively he raised his arms to protect himself.
"AAAARGH!!!!" he let out a cry as Xiu sunk his teeth yet again into his arm that was just bitten moments ago. "XIU!! What are you doing??!" he cried, one hand holding onto the Frei's shoulder, trying to push him off. But Xiu seemed to had grown stronger momentarily, and attempting to push him away while his fangs were still buried in his arm hurt, a lot. "Let go! Xiu!! LET GO!!!!"
It was difficult with his horn in the way, but Lazarus tried his best to stick his pointed ear to the invisible barrier as he listened intently to the ruckus happening nearby. He couldn't see it, but he could damn well hear it. He deserved it. The Sigel thought darkly. This was karma hitting back on Kyou for imprisoning him in this barrier, now there is no one coming to save the scientist. He let out a sinister chuckle as he imagined the harm Xiu was doing to Kyou.
