Arytiss sighed and glanced at the clock on the wall boredly. Where was her first student she was supposed to teach? If there was one thing she hated more than being nice to people, it was waiting for long periods of time. It ticked by at such a slow rate, it was a surprise that time itself had yet to stand still.

Along one wall was a rather large cabinet and several large chests that had glowing, frosted over padlocks that seemed to have come from the medieval age themselves. Within the now-open cabinet stood hundreds of wooden swords of varying sizes. In the cabinet next to it, there were spears that ranged from a couple feet long, to ones that looked almost twelve feet tall. All of them held blunt edges and were made of a dark, polished wood.

"I thought they said the brat would be on time," the white-haired female grumbled as she grabbed the folder containing Litural's information. Wrath and Chasity meant a vicious temper if everything was correct. Perfect, that meant she didn't have to work with someone that didn't have any clue how to fight.

Why did everyone always think Litural was running late for things? Honestly, he thought he had a pretty damn good sense of timing. He wasn't lazy, per-se...he just didn't like to be rushed. Especially when it came to doing something at The Facility. Why rush going back to a place that had given him so much trouble as a child?

Anyway, late or otherwise, he strolled into the classroom...somewhat prepared. Santana had mentioned that this class was going to be a melee or fighting class, so Lit had adjusted his attire to better fit the potentially rigorous activity. Today he wore just his plain black tank top and a pair of fairly form fitting sweats. Less fabric to slow him down.

Looking around at the various equipment, he smirked and snorted a short laugh out his nose.

"This must be the place."

"My god, I've seen zombies get to places faster than you," Ary replied sarcastically, straightening up and crossing her arms to appraise her first student. She figured he was teen-ish and, judging by his build, stronger than most. The female could only guess that the red skin color came from his wrath DNA and, obviously, the wings from Chastity. They were pretty, she had to admit at least to that.

"I'm Ary, or Arytiss if you want to be "formal". Choose a fighting style and we'll begin. Can do sword fighting, hand to hand, archery, something involving throwing sharp objects like spears and knives," she continued and easily shoved her small desk against the wall. Maybe she should just get the desk moved out, since she rarely used it for much other than a chair and if she would be constantly moving it around, it would quickly become a giant pain in the rear. Not to mention irritating and annoying.

This one was much better than the other teacher that Lit had been assigned to by the Facility in the past. This one had a clue and didn't treat him like a freak. Even with the snappy comment, the spawn smiled and flexed his fists. He was anxious to start...and while all the weapons did look promising, where was he going to carry something like those around? The only thought he had was maybe some daggers or a chain, like he'd seen gang members use in movies.

No. His hands were his choice; his constant weapon. Better stick with what he knew.

"Hand to hand," he answered definitively, watching the teacher slide the desk. She was a strong one, too. Excellent. "Though if you've got any pointers for small hand weapons, I'm willing to learn."

He was willing to learn anything, really.

"Hand to hand? That sounds fun," Ary replied with a wicked smirk. Physical combat, that meant pain. And lots of it. "Small hand weapons? Like knives? Psh, aim well and throw if that's your case. Or attack with great precision and don't let the enemy gain a hold of said weapon," she continued and quickly pulled her hair back into a ponytail.

"Well, first off, how much do you actually know about fighting in hand-to-hand? I'm assuming enough to hold up in a fight against a beginner of sorts. If that's the case, then I'll just end up showing you a few moves to get an advantage over your opponent instead of teaching you the basics," the female finished, waiting for his response. Honestly, it was easier to get a good feeling of how much he knew by asking said person instead of basing her entire class on a sheet of paper by a bunch of weird-smelling people in white coats.

"I meant more like switch blades or lead pipes," he supplemented, a little snappier than was proper. Whatever, if she wanted to focus on the heavy hitting stuff, that was fine by him.

"I know some basic defense," he said, answering her. "My guardian taught me when I was younger, in case I got into trouble. In the blood...I'm sure you understand." Otherwise, she was in for a rude awakening.

"Been looking forward to getting into some heavier action," and it was his turn to smirk. Go inhuman strength...this was gonna be fun to be able to hit a girl and not get into trouble. "Whatcha got, Teach?"

"Switch blades, small knives, glass, pipes, they're all the same. Use with great precision and don't allow them to get it. Although, with blades and pipes, I'd suggest using them more to kill or incapacitate than to distract like you would with other things," Ary replied coolly, smirking at the snappy tone. This was definitely far more fun than it should be for her. Then again, pushing people's buttons is what she did best. Next to fighting, that is.

"Basic defense? That's a start I suppose. Let's see what you can do offensively first and see if you can hit me. With that third eye, you might actually get close," Ary taunted, readying herself for the possible flurry of punches that were going to end up coming her way.

"And for Pete's sake, vary where you aim your attacks at. Going after the same spot is stupid," the female complained, half teaching and half warning Litural.

At first, Lit had been excited...putting up his fists, he seemed eager to begin; then came the sour complaint, which just made Lit's attitude go south, too. His whole face scowled (though the mentioned third eye seemed darker, more upset), and he snorted out his nose like an angry animal, the movement reflected in the agitated fluffing of his wings.

"I'll show you stupid," he muttered under his breath, and took his first sets of swings.

They weren't that fast, but he varied them as he'd been instructed. Chest, face, gut...he was going off video games and movies, and those were always prime targets. He didn't dare trust any sort of kick or leg sweep, so he stuck to using his fists.

If he did manage to land any of his punches, there would be power behind the impact you can be sure. Not only was his strength pretty impressive to begin with, he was a little amped from their pre-encounter banter.

"Catching your opponent off guard by throwing random punches is a good thing to work on. Helps gain an advantage," Arytiss warned as she finally settled into position. Crystal-blue eyes glittered with excitement as the wrath spawn was finally poked enough to rise into anger. Then came those predicted punches, all of which the female avoided with ease. Swiftly ducking the head shot, Arytiss quickly rose up next to the red-skinned spawn and thrust a punch into Litural's gut as she moved past. Anyone with an ounce of sense would have noticed the immense amount of restraint that kept her from unleashing a flurry of attacks in the openings he left.

"Good, but don't let that anger blind you. It can both help and hinder you," Ary called out. She moved swiftly into a ready position in case her student managed to block her attack and, oh, deliver a nice punch to her shoulder blade and knock her off balance. Hell, with his strength Litural might actual be able to send her flying across the room.

Ooh, that would hurt big time.

Lit wasn't fast enough to dodge the punch, but was pleasantly amazed when the wind that was trying to be knocked out of him basically staid put. Yes, being a spawn did have some awesome advantages...and it had those disadvantages.

Where the pain faded, anger rose. A burning silently boiled in his belly, his lips curling in a snarl that wasn't so quiet in his mouth. Quicker - much quicker this time, and harder too - he whirled for another jab. Shoulder, side...hell, he'd try taking her head off if he was quick enough.

If he didn't get her that time, he would try again. And again. And again. His wings fluffed out as his anger expanded under the pressure of trying, needing to just make contact with skin. And that third eyes was wild, narrowed and growing more blood shot with any and every hit.

Had she said something about not letting the anger blind him? Yes, well...it was getting a little late for that.

A cry of surprise broke the silence that had settled in the room as Litural went into a frenzy and managed to evade her defense and land a punch square to her shoulder. Ary felt herself topple backwards under the force and against the wall. Damn! He could throw a mean punch.

But she was still stronger than any spawn! Growling angrily, the white haired quickly dismissed the thought of using magic and quickly moved forward and took on the offense instead of playing nice and taking defense. That spawn needed to learn some damned sense!

Well-aimed punches flew through the air as Ary got close enough to Litural to throw them. "Never," she growled, aiming for any holes in his defense and the flesh that awaited underneath. "Underestimate-" she had to keep her defense up and kept any possible punches he threw at bay and from meeting her flesh once more. "an opponent!" Ary finished, throwing one last, loosely restrained punch to wherever she could reach. If he was still standing, well, their little fight would simply continue. If he wasn't, then there would be a bit of counseling in defense waiting for the wrath spawn.

((If this is too controlling or something, tell me and I'll redo it. I don't mind. :3))

(( Nah, you're fine. :3 ))

When she fell, he practically roared in triumph! He'd done it, he'd hit her! He was coiled for the spring onto his fallen target when she leaped back up. Caught off guard, she'd land a few solid punches into him, but now his anger was rimmed with the threat of defeat. No! No, she would not make him back down! It added a level to his tolerance for pain.

His body fell into defensive moves on instinct. Santana had taught him well, and he performed even better when he wasn't thinking about the actions. Was he a fortress? Far from it, but it was enough to keep him standing through most of her attacks. Her words were lost on him, but as she got farther and farther into her assault, he began to falter.

That last one hit its mark. Not so much the pain, but the force knocked him off balance and not even his wings could set him even again. He hit the ground hard, making the equipment rattle against the walls, sliding back several feet on the ground before his back hit the desk she'd shoved away earlier.

He'd never been hit that hard before; not even the techs from his youth or Santana in his beast form had that kind of power. He wasn't getting up from that one, and he groaned as the anger slowed to a nasty simmer and the pain came in flashes off heat all across his upper body.

Ary stood there, panting and clutching her shoulder. With the hand on her injured shoulder glowing a soft white, the female slowly made her way over to Lit to make sure that he was ok. He may have pissed her off but he did a good job at defending himself. Perhaps children of wrath were natural fighters...

"You alright? Looks like we both lost out temper... Hope I didn't bruise you that badly," Ary asked, sounding semi-worried about Litural's well being. Her free hand extended, in case the spawn needed help getting up. It wasn't every day she managed to beat someone hard enough to rattle the walls and fly through the air.

"If you wish to continue, I think we'll go to mock fighting instead. You're actually pretty good for a beginner." Now that wasn't something one would hear from her everyday, an actual compliment and on fighting no less.

Lit's first reaction was a growl at the outstretched hand; he practically lounged away from her and used the desk to climb to his feet, leaving nice claw marks in the wood.

"I'm fine," he snapped, his back to her as he tried to focus...trying so hard.

He wouldn't look at her nor answer any questions or attempts at getting his attention until he was under control again. His whole body shook - from rage, from shock, from disappointment - and when his wings finally stopped bristling and his breathing slowed, he turned to face her, his face looking tired but determined.

"How did you do that?" He sounded a little hoarse, but he made the demand for an answer clear. That power...he wanted that power.

Unfortunately, her compliment was glanced over. Had he known her better, it probably would have wrung a little louder. Maybe he'd thank her some day.

Ary shrugged as her offered hand was ignored. "Hm? Do what? Manage to beat the crud outta ya, or this?" she asked, holding up and wiggling her glowing white fingers. She doubted he wanted to know the latter and took a step back to rest against the wall, weary all of a sudden.

"If it's my power you seek, then you'll receive no answer. Well, alright, I'll relent a bit of information; I'm not human and thus a reason why I can kick your a** any day," the female replied, not caring too much if his pride was hurt a little, or if his anger got a hold on him once again. She had already proven too much for him to handle and thus able to subdue him whenever she pleased. Besides, freezing him to the floor was always an option if she wanted to be lazy.
