Aliel had managed to sneak out for the day. Being the way she was, it was difficult for her to leave without her mother following her or telling her to stay close.
Humming to herself as she trotted--albeit a little shakily--through the park, she waggled her rear as her tail flicked about behind her as well. Today was good, she had yet to fall over, and she felt as if she was figuring her balance issues out so she could adapt.
This meant a very happy kitten, for now. A bright smile on her face, Aliel hopped up onto one of the park benches and seated herself comfortably, kneading the hard wood beneath her paws quite absently. Maybe she should have asked one of her sisters to come with her--but, she wasn't sure if they would have sneaked out like she had. Oh well.

Of all the places in the city mau loved the park the best, it would the only place she would find herself going... She lived mostly in the forests near by but with leaf bare here and the frosts most of the prey was scarce and she headed on into the city park for the winter. Living off of people food scraps would be better then nothing at all in the frozen forest. She twitched her ears as she heard russleing and made her way into a crouch pose. hmmm maybe this was lunch. She moves swiftly and silently along the ground, head and tail low, as she came near what was making all the noise, focusing her eyes on a fluffly bundle that was a kitten, she sighed and shook herself from her hunting pose and gently exited the bushes where she had been. "A little young to be on your own?" she said giving the air a sniff, her mouth parted as she took in the scent of the young one. Usually mothers were near by so being careful was a must.

Aliel couldn't help but squeak when the female seemed to come out of nowhere. her fur puffed up and she automatically stood--hobbled, then flopped onto her side. The bench, luckily, had the back connected to the bottom...or else she would have slid through the crack in the bench and probably ended up flat on her face.
"I'm not young!" The baby-fuzz said it all, though. And her size. she couldn't be bigger than two human palms, at best. Pushing herself to stand up, her tail went nuts trying to keep her balance, stepping over to the edge to stare down at the strange female...what was she looking for?
Aliel mimicked her, lifting her head and opening her mouth slightly, sniffing--ohh, smelling that way worked so much better. "Aren't you a bit young?" Now Aliel was just being a smartass. Her higher-pitched voice and childish tone didn't help her feistiness at all, probably just made her cute.

Mau smiled and licked a paw letting the kitten sniff her, there seemed to be something wrong with the poor thing, she felt like picking the kitten off and hauling it off to clean and feed it. Only she wasn't a mother of any kits. She watched the poor kitten and laughed when she commented on her age. "My dear kit, I am but a young cat but not as young as you" She swooped her tail around the small kit and started groom the young kitten. "Where is your mother?"

Aliel blinked when the large tail came around her, and she was being groomed. Oh, so this was a nice cat? From what she had gathered just about every cat outside of the territory was dangerous or evil. But then again, she lived with the ANBU so it was a bit different.
A low purr picked up from the grooming, even if she knew she probably shouldn't be sticking so close to a stranger. "At home," she replied simply, flicking her little stub tail as she sat there, taking the grooming thankfully, "She's with my sisters. I wanted to be by myself for a little while.

Mau continued to clean the kitten, she probably shouldn't but it was nice pretending to be a mother at the moment, she always wanted to take care of things, her owner, spirit and now this kitten. "Shouldn't she be worried about you?" She questioned. Wondering how a mother could let a kitten out of site. She would be a friece mom, she decided, not letting a single kit out of site. "Its not good to stray from your mom" She said pauseing. "Theres much more dangerous things out here, then just other cats." She said looking around and tasteing the air, in case of danger.
