Well it’s pretty obvious that we need help. We’ve lost almost all of our beginning staff, and aside from a few guest colorists, it leaves Thalion to run the shop alone. Unfortunately, her schedule isn’t exactly the most stable, as we’ve seen in the events. Aside from that, we need some help finishing the lines and keeping up with the guild. Please read everything before applying! Every staff member is expected to uphold the rules of the shop.

But first and foremost…
Colorist Perks!
- You keep 100% of your profit. Well be hiring general colorists (customs and events), and breeders.
- You get three dogs a month to keep for yourself or offer to friends!
- You get to hold events, open customs, and open breedings on your own time- just be sure Thalion knows a week in advance so announcements can be made.
- You get first look at all the new lines!

Positions Open:

- General colorists [ 3+ ]
General colorists are in charge of monthly customs and events. Each colorist is expected to open at least 5 custom slots a month (either by way of raffle, colorist choice, or event). Each colorist is expected to run at least one independent event a month and one joint event every three months. Events and custom openings must be approved by Thalion one week in advance.

General colorists must be able to work with the template- both in coloring and editing the lines and templates. Edits are allowed, and will be required for half-breeds and mutts.

- Breeders [ 2+ ]
Breeders are in charge of monthly breedings. Each colorist is expected to open at least 3 breeding slots a month (either by way of raffle, colorist choice, or event). Colorists must inform Thalion of openings one week prior to the opening.

Breeders must be able to work with the template- both in coloring and editing the lines and templates. Edits are allowed, and will be required for half-breeds and mutts.

- Line artists [ 1 ]
Lneartists can double over as colorists and breeders- if they so choose. Lineartists will be needed to help complete all the breeds within the shop and help release new breeds as they come. Lineartists will ink the sketches, and if necessary make corrections.

Rules for entering:

1.…Do -not- use this template for any other purpose. It’s here so you can show me your skill as a colorist. If -anyone- posts the lineart outside of this thread, or is found to be using the template for personal reasons, they will automatically be blacklisted.
2.…You may post 3-5 examples on the lines.
3.…You must edit at least 2 of your examples. One simple edit, one using the general template provided, and one complex edit. Try to vary your coloring a bit too. Show me how much you are capable of!
4.…Those hired may keep their dogs OR give them away in their first event.
5.…Colorists will have their own threads within the guild (for customs and/or breedings).
6.…You may apply for colorist and line artist or breeder and line artist. For now, I don’t want anyone to get overwhelmed between customs, events, and breedings.
7.…All growths must be done at the time of the custom/breeding. This means when you do a custom at pup stage, you -must- do the other stage(s) as well before moving on. This allows us to grow the dogs in a timely manner if something comes up.
8.…If you fail to finish a custom within a month’s time, you must refund half the fee.

Rules colorists must abide by:

- Become familiar with what is and is not acceptable within SoO for events, customs, and breedings:

Custom Rules

| Basic Customs |
- Edits are available! Please see the acceptable/unacceptable edits for examples of what we will and will not do.
- We have very little limits on markings and patterns. Our limits are pretty reasonable.
- Pay close attention to the breeds! Small breeds have two stages, medium and large breeds have three. All lineart is unisex. We can add minor edits to make the dog seem more masculine/feminine. (To a point! We won’t add any ‘bits’ to the lines. We’re trying to keep pg13.)
- Please respect the colorists comfort zones. We give the right to our colorists to refuse a custom if they are uncomfortable with the content.
- Symbols such as Pentagrams, political party logos, and ‘alternative lifestyle’ symbols are absolutely restricted.
- Some breeds (like the Kai Ken) will be restricted to keep the breed rare. These rare breeds can be obtained through bribes, special events, and limited customs.
- Do not alter the shop lines for references! There are plenty of free coloring pages available for you to use on google or on deviant art.
- Please make sure that the designs are -original-. We will refuse any customs that are taken from someone else’s design.
- The dogs are dogs. They aren’t winged dogs, they aren’t demon dogs, they’re dogs. We won’t be adding wings, horns, antlers, poke’mon body parts, fire, etc. to them.
- Genetic experiment dogs are also restricted! This means mutants, dogs with metallic body parts, etc. These will be available through limited customs and special events.

| Concerning Cosplays |
- You may get cosplays. However, if a cosplay is already in existence you cannot order a duplicate. Some shops allow the same cosplay on different lineart (ie, different breeds/genders) but we don’t.
- We’ll do cosplay hair and accessories- so long as they’re not ‘overboard’. For instance, none of the dogs will hold weapons like guns, swords, etc. The dogs will also never wear armor, pants, or undergarments. Shirts are alright, but they’ll be modified so it looks like something that a dog can wear.
- We do allow for cosplay hairstyles.
- We do not allow cosplays of characters from the show! Cannon characters will be given away to deserving role players through contests. We want to keep the shop as cannon as possible.
- We also do not allow cosplays or customs of cannon character’s offspring. Again, this is a special privilege that we’ll allow to frequent and deserving role players in the shop through special events or requests.
- The character may be a cosplay, but it cannot have magic or abilities that a normal dog wouldn’t have. This means no lazers, no super strength, super speed, etc.
- We do cosplays of characters between shops- so long as -you- own the pets. For instance, if you want a dog that looks like an SoA (Shadows of Africa) character, you have to own the SoA. We will not give you a cosplay of someone else’s design.
- You also cannot cosplay original characters that do not belong to you.

| Concerning Cannon Characters/Relations |
- Cannon characters will only be offered through rp contests or through the request of a shop owner. Do not ask us to grant you permission to a cannon character or the descendant of a cannon character! This is a privilege awarded to frequent rpe’rs and those we feel will hold true to the character.
- We also don’t allow cannon character designs on other breeds. So no you can’t have an Akita with Jerome’s exact markings.

General rules

Acceptable Edits:
- Minor hairstyles. Bangs, small Mohawks, a ‘ridgeback’, curled ‘hair’, even small dreadlocks.
- Cosplay hairstyles- there may be a fee for this.
- Poodles are open to several cut styles. If you can google a reference we can do it.
- Docked/undocked ears and tails.
- Chewed ears/tails.
- Scars.
- Missing limbs (Only one leg please... we wanna try to keep the number of dogs in wheelchairs to a minimum.)
- Collars. Again, if you can google a reference, we can do it.
- Necklaces.
- Medals. (Hero dogs. We do reserve the right to limit these.)
- Any style of harness.
- Service dog equipment.
- Circus dog collars.
- Scarfs and bandanas.
- Bone props.

Unacceptable Edits:
- CLOTHING. This means t-shirts, pants, booties, diapers, undies, and shorts. Yes we know they exist. No we don’t seeing them on dogs, and no we won’t draw them. We -may- have an exception to the rule for toy breed dogs (when they're available). Even then, each colorist can choose whether or not to allow clothing.
- Armor. Just no.
- Weapons! Dogs with guns? Knives? No.
- Other un-doggy props… like pencils, giga pets, game boys, books, etc.
- Other dog body parts. Dog wearing a dog pelt- maybe later. But where would they find one? XD

Acceptable Markings:
- Kanji.
- Runes.
- Roman Numerals
- Glyphs.
- “Natural” colorations. (Cheetah, leopard, zebra, mongoose, duck…)
- “Naked” cosplay patterns. (See unacceptable markings)
- Stars, swirls, rainbows, clouds…cutey girly things.
- Fire patterns, water patterns, leaves, etc.
- Cosplay patterns. The heartless sign from KH, the triforce, suikoden true runes, etc.

Unacceptable Markings:
- CLOTHING PATTERNED FUR. No. Just. No.
- National flags.
- Candy bar wrappers.
- Other various advertisement…stuff.
- Drug/sex symbols.
- Letters and Numbers.
- Imprinted faces. Brad Pitt’s face on dog fur - not gonna happen.
- Markings stolen from someone else’s shop without permission.
- Markings stolen from another person’s OC design.

Additional rules:
- Breeders must take lifestyles (Pets, stray, wild, or pack) into consideration when doing their breeding rolls.
- Homosexual/bisexual dogs are -not allowed-. This is a rule that applies to any and all of Thalion’s shops. We’re keeping cannon to the basis for the shop. If this rule is not something you can abide by, there are other shops you can visit.
- Colorists and breeders cannot take bribes or pet trades until they have worked for the shop for at least 6 months, kept to their deadlines, and have remained productive. After which time, any bribes must be brought to Thalion for confirmation. Pet trades are free game.
- Colorists cannot ‘reserve’ cosplays for themselves. They are free to create them for their monthly customs, but you cannot put anything on reserve. Things can get very sticky, very fast.
- For now, we do not allow anyone to custom into litters. We may change this as the shop expands.

I'm adding an event colorist since it may help attract more people in. Event colorists -do not- have to edit the lines at all. These colorists will be in charge of running random events through the thread, giveaways, freebies, secret santas (We need lots of help with this soon!), raffles, and flatsales. Auctions and customs are forbidden. Use the same form as above. :3

- You will need to do some mock-breedings. Here are the couples you can choose from:

**The puppy is the english setter base. Part of the challange is to edit the lines so the offspring look like the parents. Each litter example must contain 3+ offspring for variety**

- Color (and edit) 1-3 mock breedings on this template.
- One example must have at least a new hairstyle on it.
- All examples must have edits inherited by the mother/father/both parents.
- The offspring must look like the parents.
- You may combine requirements onto your examples.
- You WILL be certing all of your own pets.
- Incest is not allowed! Second-cousins are as close to relation as we will allowed.
