A possible die system we're going to be using between Ahzi and me, so please don't comment. Ahzi: Here's my recommendation for a character bio sheet, at least in my opinion. This is just for the monsters, atm... [b]Player-[/b] Name: Age: Nationality: Level: Exp: Hp: Gender: Appearance:

Origins-
This is a fairly simple sheet, compared to things like D&D, or the like, which really get into things. Naturally, everything depends on what the original attributes are, but let's start off with a pure, level 1, godzilla girl-to-be.... For sake of simplicity, we're going to say she has 45 points to spend. Quote: Player-Name: gina Age: xxx Nationality: japanese Level: 1 Exp: 0 HP: 21 Gender: xxx Appearance: xxx Attributes-Strength: 12 Dexderity: 11 Constitution: 11 Wisdom: 11 Defenses- (10 + 1/2 level + Stat modifier) Toughness (cont): 10 + 0 + 0 = 10 Fortitude (str): 10 + 0 + 1 = 11 Reflex (dex): 10 + 0 + 0 = 10 Will (wis): 10 + 0 + 0 = 10 Attack- (Base Attack Bonus + Stat modifier) Melee (str): 0 + 1 = +1 Ranged (dex): 0 + 0 = +0 Special (wis): 0 + 0 = +0 Damage-Melee (str): 1d4 Ranged (dex): 1d4 Special (wis): 1d4 Origins- xxxx We generate that the defenses are stats which denote how well a monster defends, attack is how accurate they are to attack, and damage accordingly is how hard they hit when they connect... As I stated before, this is a premade character, so I'll walk you through the steps. You ready?

You awake to find yourself in a laboratory, the water from your busted tank all over the place. The scene looks like one of those freaky cloning centers or genetics labs, and you're confused, but you know one thing: You have to get out of here by any means possible. You look around, and there's a man trying to help you to your feet. You feel really good around him, like you can trust him, even obey him.
"Good, it looks like you're in one piece. Let's get out of here Gina," he says to you, as you look around stunned. From the door, there's a security guard who riles you up. He's not in any mood to stop either....
"Gina, Go beat him up."
(with combat initiated, you get to choose an attack, be it melee, ranged, or special)

((Ah, so I'm playing the part of Gina! Okay lol))
Gina looks to the security guard, and stares him down a moment before deciding to take action. She runs up to him, and tries to kick him, hoping to daze him enough to start pounding on him. She was determined to get out, and if beating this guy up was going to do it she'd be more than happy to oblige!
((I assume I would roll a die here or something, but I'm not sure quite what 1d4 means, so... :p ))

(Now see, here you picked a "melee" attack, a physical connection. Out of character, now you have to roll a D20, a twenty sided die. This is what's known as an Attack roll. (okay, you rolled a 14. Easy enough. Willhelm's Fortitude defense, or his ability to block, is only 11, so you successfully connect. however, if you look on your stat sheet, under attack, you'll realize you get a plus 1 modifier to melee attacks.
Meaning you rolled a 14. Plus 1 for strength. so your final total is 15. since 15>11, you connected with wilhelm. Now you go to damage. roll 1d4, or 1 "4 sided die".))

(willhelm takes 3 damage, he's at 7 health...)
The kick connects with willhelm, sending him sprawling on the floor. Angered, he gets up and pulls out a tazer, and fires at you.
(currently rolling die; generally, a GM doesn't show what the enemies roll, or their character sheets, simply because if a player is doing really well, or really poorly, they can adjust on the fly, but i have to show for the sake of learning, so wait until i say this post is finished to start another attack. Try mixing it up some too, pick melee, ranged, or special...)
(Wilhelm only got a 5, plus 1 to hit, which makes it a six. Since he's using ranged, we use your reflex defense instead of fortitude, to dodge the attack, which you are successful.)
The tazers fly wide, missing their target, probably due to him being dazed.

((Hmmm, I'd use ranged or special, but I don't know what my own character is capable of as far as skills, and I don't really know the surroundings so I don't know if I can pick up a ranged weapon, so I'll try another melee attack razz ))
Smirking, Gina reels her leg back and gives another sharp kick toward the head, hoping to give him a good clocking. As she does, she scans her surroundings to see if there's anything she might could pick up to help expedite things, though...

Unfortunately, Gina misses his face and hits the side of his head instead, so she doesn't get quite the satisfying crunch of his nose caving in on itself that she was hoping to get.

(gina is godzilla, so ranged would be 'throw item', special 'atomic breath'. etcetera. I figure there'd be a way to enhance things like attacks and whatnot though the use of points, although for now, i'm just going to focus on combat.
And it seems you got the melee down pat. Wilhelm's health is now 5.)
Willhelm goes for another attack.
(see, in a time like this, wilhelm's missing pretty badly. Normally that's not much of a deal, but to show what it might be like if you got hit, i'm going to actually say he hits, because as GM, i can. and i am.)
Wilhelm's second attack fires two prods into Gina, hitting her.

(15! now, generally there's something called Damage resistance, or DR. i'm modifying it to be your Toughness score, which is ten. Ergo, your damage is....
15-10=5 damage, leaving you 16 hp left)
The prods do their job, giving a good jolt to Gina.

((Wait, his damage for ranged attacks is 2d10 +1, though, so wouldn't the +1 make it 6 damage?))
Wnicing in pain, Gina staggers a bit before narrowing her eyes in anger. Opening her mouth, she fires a blast of atomic breath at Willhelm.
Not being used to using such an attack, though, it fizzles out practically before it can escape her maw. Apparently she was going to have to work on that attack some...
She shrinks back somewhat meekly now.
