It was hard to tell that Fifth honestly worked at the Facility. Of all things, he probably looked the most out-of-place, which is the main reason that he left the building in exchange for a seat outside. The air was beginning to get colder, but he showed little concern, still not bothering to wear a shirt; when you'd lived on the streets your entire life, a little Autumn breeze wasn't going to kill you.
Though the air was cold, when it sat still long enough, there was warmth, and Fifth stretched his golden wings to take in the warmth of the sunlight. He'd received the file for some kid that he was supposed to teach, but he wasn't exactly sure what they expected him to do about it; hell if he knew how to read. Thankfully, though, it did have a picture, which meant that he would at least recognize the student when she approached the building. So, pulling a cigarette out of a pocket of his scrappy blue jeans, he lit the end of it with a snap of his fingers and kicked his legs, simply waiting for this student of his to show up...

Elisabetta was a far cry from the chipper child she'd been weeks prior to her guardian's funeral. It wasn't something most made it through intact, but she managed to keep up the facade. Her new keeper wasn't so bad and she got to live with Tally, but still...it just wasn't the same.
The spawn's raven hair was pulled back in two sedate low riding pigtails with her halos circling the bands. She wore her favorite outfit and her mother's old hoodie, though her tentacle's protested. They pawed at her for freedom, but she refused to cut any holes. Meekly, she walked away from the spot where Moose fired up her motorbike, feeling nervous the first time in her life. What was her teacher going to be like? Up to this point in her life she'd been home schooled, but public education wouldn't be so bad....right?
Shivering, she curled her bare toes up on the chilled path and lifted her head before turning into the facility. She gasped. "Wings!" Elisabetta's mouth hung low in shock. Why did everyone have wings except her?!

When the girl arrived, a slight smile came to Fifth and he stubbed out his barely-smoked cigarette, stuffing it back in his pants pocket and lifting himself up, rolling his shoulders and fluttering his wings a bit before half-folding them against his back, forced to lift them a little higher than he wanted to for the sake of keeping them off the ground. A soft laugh fell from his lips at the first comment heard out of the girl's mouth and he smiled a bit.
"Yes, I do have them, but it's not exactly what I was planning to be referred to as," he replied jokingly, extending one hand and noticing that the girl's tentacles seemed to be hidden beneath her sweatshirt, and he briefly wondered why she'd done that. Not knowing exactly what they were or how they worked, he simply shrugged it off.
"The name's Fifth Avenue; Fifth for short," he replied, before a sheepish smile crept onto his face along with a faint blush. "And I suppose I should know your name, given the file that they gave me when I learned about my first student but, ah, I don't... exactly... Idon'tknowhowtoread," he said all in one mumbled breath, as though she would just let it slide if she didn't understand what he'd said. "Anyway, today's lesson is probably going to be a little tough, so I hope you can be strong, kiddo."

She stepped back involuntarily as he stood, her eyes still looking after those wings. They were an obsession of hers; wings and tails. Neither of which she had, but both she desperately wanted. Yet, she was distracted by his laugh, smiling a bit shyly because of her staring. She didn't want to seem rude on the first day!
Elisabetta giggled and grasped his hand with her own. "Weird name, mister. I like it, though." She tried to catch what he mumbled, but it slipped out of her minimal attention span. "I'm your first? Wow! Thats so cool, cuz your totally my first teacher. I hope we get along really well." The spawn grinned, flashing some fang as she stood a little taller. "My name's Elisabetta, but you can call me Lissy."
The Lust spawn perked her petite frame right up like she wasn't a third of the size of most kids her age. With a determined look, she saluted him. "I've already prepared, teacher! Last night I caught up on my story bookin' and finished Moby d**k. I'm ready for anything you've got!" She hopped up on her feet, punching the air with an excited 'hoo-ha!'. Over all, she was a bit to enthusiastic for school, death of a loved one or no. All she was missing was the lisp and glasses.

The girl's supposed obsession made it mildly amusing that Fifth had both sought-after bodyparts, although his wings were definitely the more evident part, greatly outshadowing the little lion's tail that protruded from the base of his spine.
"Really? Well, that certainly makes me feel better. At least I don't have to feel like I'm being judged by comparison," he replied, laughing a bit. Honestly, though, that was what he'd been worried about as far as teaching was concerned; that his students were going to compare him to their previous teachers and call him out on how much he sucked at teaching people. That or an angry parent was going to charge him with child abuse or something equally as terrible. It was times where he was thinking about such things that he was extremely grateful that Venus had forced him to bring a first-aid kit. Sure, it was in his classroom, but it's not like any of his students would be too heavy to carry there if need-be.
"I'll keep that in mind," he noted, repeating her name in his head and trying his hardest to remember that, given all the names he'd ever had to remember in his life were only numbers. Fifth blinked in surprise at the girl's enthusiasm and laughed softly at her note about having reviewed some book that his mind immediately decided shouldn't be given to a child. He'd never really heard of any of the classics except Oliver Twist and Romeo and Juliet; ironic? Completely.
"Well, actually, this isn't really all that, uh... book-learning-related," he said, chuckling softly. "From what I've been told, we skills teachers are supposed to teach you kids life skills, things like... flying for kids with wings and, uh... like... well, things like that. So, essentially, I'm going to be taking you through a lesson that I've taken many, many other kids through that will kind of show you generally how to handle certain hardships of life," he explained with a nod, gesturing her to follow him as he started heading toward a river that he'd found only about a block from the Facility that was perfect for his bizarre teaching method. "So, um... Lissy! Right, so, what is your combination, exactly?"

Elisabetta's longer tentacle snaked out of the hoodie and reached out to grasp his hand. Like all the others it started out as a harmless touch that turned into a full out stroke up his arm until she stepped back. Not that she wanted to; Lissy loved being close to people, exspecially cuddling them, but her tentacle was really starting to get out of hand. It was becoming harder and harder to control it, let alone want to. The last thing she wanted was for something bad to happen.
"Only bad people judge, Mr. Teacher. I'm not that kind of girl." She smiled brighter and pulled back the over sized sleeves before stuffing her hands in the pouch. "It's...not?" Her disappoint was evident. What kind of class didn't have books? "I guess it makes sense, but...I dunno. I guess I was already judgin', teach!" She laughed nervously, looking down at her curled toes.
When she looked up he was already on the move. Elisabetta gasped, scrambling to catch up with him. Her longer tentacle spotted the tail before she and latched on with all it had, making her trail along behind him like a baby elephant. "My combination is Lust and Diligence, sir." She stated non-chalantly, like it was just another fact of life and not something that could potentially be the biggest worry of her life. "But I'm an Arch Angel Princess, cuz I gots four halos and Pepper's my dragon. What about you? Are you from the facility?"

Fifth didn't really respond so much to the appearing tentacle aside from just staring at it and blinking in confusion. His head tipped to the side at it's strangely... 'mature' actions. Or, at least, the form of the movement had his mind slipping into the gutter, as it did on a regular basis. Fifth couldn't help but laugh at the girl's sheepishness, amused by her own self-contradiction.
"Don't worry about it," Fifth replied with a dismissive wave. "It's natural to judge certain things. At least, to a point." He nodded to himself. After all, you got to a point where 'judging' became 'being a narrowminded a*****e'. And that was when someone like Fifth did something stupid like light your house on fire. Which he did to a lot of people.
...yeah, he had made a point not to let his new boss know that.
The tip of Fifth's tail flicked a few times and he spied under one of his wings curiously and smiled a bit at the tentacle wrapped around it. Fifth nodded, thinking about the sin and the virtue, trying to remember what each of those meant. Well, he definitely knew what lust was, but diligence... didn't that have something to do with being dedicated to stuff? Eh, he didn't really know, but hopefully it was good with what she was going to be doing for this class.
Fifth chuckled in an amused fashion at what she said that she was. "An Arch Angel Princess, are you?" he asked curiously. Then again, who was he to question the inner workings of a child's mind, especially one from that Facility-place. Hell, he'd heard stranger claims than that in his lifetime. He looked down and tipped his head slightly. "The Facility? Well, I work there... but I'm not from there. I live... well, wherever I want, really. I don't have a home, just a big family to take care of," he explained, chuckling a bit. Yeah, gargantuan family, all of whom were always hungry...

Lissy tilted her head to the side as she trailed along behind him. "Of course I am. Isn't it obvious?" She retorted. What kind of idget didn't know what an Arch Angel Princess was? "One day I'll have a pair of real wings just like yours, only their will be four of them, and I'll fly to the stars with the other angels. I'll be able to see momma then. She's an angel, you know." Of course she meant Gabrielle. At the moment in the time she had little to no knowledge of her angelic parent at all. The demon, side, however....
"So, what are you, teach? Some kinda bum?" The spawn asked bluntly. She raised her brow, one ear cocking down like a dog. "Like, with a big bum family." Curiously she looked around and walked a little closer behind him. Very few places were known to her, this area not being one of them. "Where are we?"

Fifth just smiled at the girl's insistence of this fact and nodded along with it. For a brief span of time, he actually did consider the fact that Lissy was talking about a parent that had cared for her rather than the ones that were locked up in that creepy church-building, but he disregarded that rather quickly. If it was the truth, the child was probably sore about it, and he didn't need to stack emotional pain on top of physical for this lesson.
"Yeah, that's about what I am," he replied, chuckling in mild amusement. "With a huge bum family. Probably have at least as many of them as there are hybrid kids like you," he noted, nodding decisively. When asked where they were, he gestured for her to stray from the main pathway, taking her to a small river. For a moment, he debated having her try to catch a fish at any one point, but decided that would maybe be a little much. After all, these were kids with homes and lives that would likely be... well, not too easy with their species, but easier than if they were homeless. He hoped.
"Old haunting grounds. Don't worry; doesn't mean they're haunted, just means that I used to spend time around here," he explained, stepping carefully down the rocks that led to the water, heavily calloused feet almost numb to the pain as his talons tried their darnedest to dig into the rocks themselves, squeaking slightly as they did so. Once he was down low enough, he held up a hand to help Elisabetta follow him down the rocks that were nearly as tall as she was, pointing out occasional footholds. Once she was caught up, he stepped into the water, shivering a bit at how cold it was this time of year. Despite the fact that this probably didn't make any sense to the little girl now, Fifth gestured for her to follow him in; he would explain in a moment.
Maybe.

Lissy giggled. "Your a funny man, Mr. Fifth." She stopped for a second and continued on with more vigor. "Momma used to say fifth alot. 'I need a fifth'. Were you two dating?" That was it then! Whenever Gabrielle would leave the house on the weekends she wasn't going out shopping, she was going to hang out with Lissy's new man teacher. How cool was that? Did that make him a step-dad? And was his bum family her new family? Omg, but if that bum family was her family then that meant she would have to be a bum too and you can't buy X-box games when you live in a box!
She looked over at the river. Detaching herself from her bummish fate, she skipped to the bank and picked up a stone with each limb and tentacle. Her larger one had better aim. He got three in a row! "Of course their not haunted. It's a metaphor." She stuck out her tongue with a giggle. "Hey-hey, wait. Don't get in there! You'll catch a cold." When he gestured for her to follow she really didn't want to, but reluctantly agree. Her bare feet were numb with pain by the time he had her stop on the stones. After this she was going to listen to Moose when she said to wear shoes.
Grimacing, she slipped down into the icy water with a gasp. When it got to be too much Lissy pulled back and wrapped her arms around her knees. "Nuh-uh. No way. Your a crazy man, Mr. Fifth."

Fifth's bright green eyes blinked a few times in quick succession, taken aback by the strange question from the younger girl. His tail flicked a bit and he chuckled softly. It had been a long time since he'd 'dated' someone. In fact, now that he thought about it, it had been a REALLY long time since he'd been with somebody; not since he'd had Deux and that had been when he was, what, twenty? Younger, maybe? He offered the girl a slight smile accompanied by a shake of the head.
"Nope, sorry. I don't think I've ever seen your momma, let alone talked to her." He smiled sheepishly. A laugh fell from his mouth when the girl warned him about catching a cold and he shook his head. "I promise, with how many winters I've spent trying to catch fish, that I'm the last person who could catch a cold in these waters." He frowned softly when she called him crazy and pulled herself back out of the water, though it wasn't a disapproving frown, just one that meant that this lesson was going to be harder for him than he'd hoped. Maybe she was too young...? Nah, that couldn't be it. He'd taken kids younger than her out here. Again, like Deux.
"Come on Lissy, don't worry. You're feet'll go numb before they hurt," he noted, smiling in what he hoped would be a convincing way as he made his way back to the girl, holding both hands out toward her. "And if it does start to hurt, I'll carry you back..." he thought a moment, remembering the girl's interest in his wings. "And... if you really wanted, I could fly you back?"
