Barafu'moyo:
Barafu lay stretched out in the cave on his side, almost snuggled up in the thick pallet of pelts his family had collected as time passed. There was a jackal's pelt wrapped around him and he almost looked peaceful there in his slumber. But it didn't matter. He was a light sleeper and his children, mate, and nephew had each come to learn in turn. That light sleeping was only made worse by storms. But it was a nice, sunny afternoon, so the smallish cheetah was taking a much-needed nap in the cool den.

Pich'Nkosana:
Pich nudged Fu ahead of him to enter and nipped her flank lightly as a reminder to behave. He slipped inside gracefully, stealthy, again the clear impact of what a deadly creature he could be apparent in the way he moved. His golden eyes focused on his uncle and he slowly slipped to sit down and glanced at Fu.

He cleared his throat lightly, "Uncle Barufu?" Despite the fact he had grown slightly larger then his uncle he still maintained the reverent almost boyish adoration and respect for him.

Fususi:
Fu twitched at the n**, actually turning a frown on him before she could stop herself. She did not deserve that kind of treatment when she'd yet to do anything wrong other than falling out of the tree. She looked around the cave and grimaced. There was fur all over the floor, to the point where she couldn't tell what half of the creatures had been. She thought she saw a wild dog's fur and... Gods, was that a lion's mane?! She held back a shudder and hung back at Pich's side as he addressed the sleeping cheetah. He was covered in scars and wearing a jackal's pelt around his shoulders and over his back. It was a strange sight to behold...

Barafu'moyo:
Barafu chuckled lowly as his nephew spoke.
"You're getting better, boy. If it hadn't been for that clumsy little slip at your side, I might have not noticed you come in," he purred in his surprisingly deep voice, one eye opening up to look at the pair. Pich had brought back a young female cheetah, about Shaira and Baridi's age. She was pretty he supposed, but he would have to hear the whole story before passing any judgements.

Pich'Nkosana:
"Yes well clumsy is right, this is my...prisoner her name is Fu. She spoiled a good hunt, figured I should keep her, make her useful for something." Pich growled out softly still irritated that he had lost his lunch on account of some silly female.

"Baridi should be home soon..." He added, they were really quite a pleasant family in one anothers company. He turned to Fu and frowned slightly "This is my uncle, you keep out of his way understand?"

Fususi:
Fu looked from one male to the other, then nodded slowly. She was even more afraid of this family by the look of this cave. She didn't want to do anything that might anger one of them. Especially not the other one, Baridi. He frightened her the most.

Barafu'moyo:
Barafu slowly stood and walked over to the pair. He held a pensive look on his face as he circled the smaller female. She was small and petite, but not overly clumsy, just normal how she walked. Even Baridi did that sometimes. Well, more often than not.
"They're always useful for something. At the least, she can entertain you, or your Aunt and Shaira," Barafu replied with a short nod as he stopped in front of them. He looked her up and down. No scars, not a fighter. Sharp teeth, clear eyes, strong looking paws. She could hunt, and he had no doubt that she would.
"Good choice, Pich," he finally added with a small smile and a nod. He walked towards the cave's entrance, then, glancing over only to say, "I'll go find your aunt and cousin, then. I'm sure they'll be interested in this as well," before slipping out.

Pich'Nkosana:
"We'll see..." He muttered with a huff annoyed that Baridi and Barufu had thought the female some kind of prize. So far she seemed more a nuisance, but she was HIS nuisance and he would make her a prize. "Yes let them know" he nodded respectfully as his uncle left.

He turned back to Fu "My uncle and aunt lay the rules here, this is their home and you will behave respectfully towards them. I'm sure so long as your polite with us we will return the treatment in kind." He stood and gave a soft shake off before stretching and glancing at her. "Any questions?"

Fususi:
Fu watched as the older male paced around her and then left. It had been unnerving and demeaning, but she didn't stop him. She didn't want to know what those consequences might have been for doing something like that.
"No, not... really," she replied slowly, glancing over at her captor. Of course she was polite, for the most part, but what if polite to her wasn't what they considered so? She glanced around, doing her best not to look at him.
"What are you going to have me be doing, anyways?" she asked, immediately regretting the question. She probably wouldn't have wanted to know.

Pich'Nkosana:
"I suppose I can take you on hunts, having an extra paw might help if your not too clumsy. You can help keep the den clean, the furs need to be taken out and shaken every few days. You just be careful with them understand?" He huffed softly and looked her over again, was she capable of the things he wanted from her?

He finally let his eyes rest on her inky dipped tail and slowly up her spine before settling on her light blue eyes. She was pretty enough he supposed, but not so much that he saw why his uncle and cousin had taken any liking in her.

Fususi:
"Stop saying I'm clumsy," Fu snapped, her face showing her displeasure. She wasn't clumsy! She'd fallen out of one tree and suddenly she was clumsy! Well, she wasn't. She could hunt on her own and certainly shake out the... the... Well, maybe she wouldn't be able to shake out the pelts. Soft as they may be beneath her pads, they were still the coats of other creatures. It felt so... wrong, to be stepping upon them. Her tail-tip flicked in an irritated fashion.

Pich'Nkosana:
His paw came up quickly and whapped against her face luckily his claws were in but he growled none the less. "Yeah well you'll get your chance to prove that...and you better watch your tone." He huffed and turned his back on her determined to get her out of his sight for a little while. It was becoming downright irritating the looks she gave, her voice, and those endless blue eyes.

Fususi:
"Awwwww, toy no fun, Pichy? Can I have her, then, I'm sure I'll have loads of fun," came that voice again. Fu did even turn, feeling the hybrid's hungry gaze at her back. He face stung where he had slapped her and she rubbed at it a bit but did nothing else.

Baridi'vijicho:
Baridi stood in the entrance, grinning like a fool.Oh, how he wanted Pich to be done with the girl. There were some many ideas he had come up with while he was hunting. He'd only found a mongoose to play with, and it had only spawned more ideas. He licked his lips at the thought as he stared at the young cheetah's back, uncaring that his cousin was still present.

Pich'Nkosana:
Pich growled and whipped around quickly his body moving to cover Fu's "I'm NOT done with her, I have to take her out...so she can practice. She's gonna get me dinner tonight as an apology." His voice was harsh and his golden eyes narrowed, he could tell Baridi was having thoughts. The thoughts that so often amused him were now irritating when he imagined then being about Fu.

She was his and he was going to keep her that way, away from his cousins grasp. Slowly he smirked and nuzzled Fu's cheek softly "Besides even if she was alone...she is mine...you wouldn't poach on your own cousin RIGHT cousin?" His eyes narrowed fiercely.

Fususi:
Fu stood quickly at Pich's words, ready and willing to leave right then to go hunting. Sure, she was getting hungry, too, but she would certainly give up a kill if if meant getting away from his cousin.
He surprised her when he nuzzled her cheek, and she felt the heat rush there in a soft blush, though she fought to keep it down. He was her captor, after all. And he was probably only doing that to annoy his cousin.
Still, the reaction complimented the gesture.

Baridi'vijicho:
Baridi narrowed his eyes for a moment... and then shrugged nonchalantly.
"I was merely saying that when you're through with her, I'll gladly take her," he paused there to catch the female's gaze. She looked away, to Pich's paws, before he could even think of a word for the color blue in her eyes. "No matter what condition she's in."

Pich'Nkosana:
The growl slowly lifted up from his chest and his lips raised in anger. "She's mine Baridi, when I'm through with her it'll be because she's through." He huffed and nudged Fu ahead infront of him and outside eager to get her away from his cousins eyes. They always seemed to play the game of coveting and teasing, but before Pich had never had any issue with simply sharing or allowing baridi to have what he wanted. He considered himself a good big brother, and making Baridi happy had always made him happy, but not this time, this was different.

"Come on Fu, You need practice, if you loose my dinner tonight you'll really be in trouble..." He might have threatened her better, but he didn't have much of a taste for it.

Fususi:
"I won't lose it, I promise," Fu whispered back to him when they were out of the cave, letting out a sigh of relief. She was in from, so she turned back to him with a small frown, though this was one simply of questioning.
"Is there somewhere particular, something you want?" She wanted to grumble about not really needing practice, but she figured the issue shouldn't be pressed. She didn't want to get hit again.

Pich'Nkosana:
"I had a nice herd of gazelle ready, a juicy looking female...of course you spoiled that. I suppose something of equal value would be nice, but thats doubtful, your young and..." He chuckled softly. "well we'll see if your as graceful as you claim."

He moved ahead of her and away from the den out into the open with confidence. "I'm fast, so unless you think your faster you'll flush them out and I'll make the kill, can you handle that soot tail?"

Fususi:
"S-soot tai-! You just-" Fu sputtered, shocked at what he'd just called her. Soot tail?! How completely undignified! Her mouth snapped shut and she half-glared at him, though she didn't stop following. Would he share with her? Probably not. He'd probably do it just out of spite, too. Yeah, she could definitely see Pich doing that just to get back at her for losing his lunch. Even if it hadn't been her fault, really.

Pich'Nkosana:
He chuckled and had to hold back from outright laughing, her sputtering was quite amusing. Yes he would enjoy her new nickname quite a bit, he glanced at her and slowly smirked. "What's wrong, your tail is pretty sooty looking, or is it just dirty? If you can't keep yourself clean..." He smirked and moved on amused.

"Now then can you at least flush out prey or not?" His voice lowered and he sank into an easy crouch as his eyes narrowed in the distance, they were still a great deal way, but he could almost feel the movement of a herd in his paws.

Fususi:
Fu growled under her breath. How DARE he insinuate that she was dirty! She slunk down next to him, taking a hunter's stance as well, and glanced in his direction, her ears low against her skull.
"I guess you'll just have to see and find out, huh?" she asked before slinking towards their goal. She had learned well, moving with a fluid grace bred into her through centuries of ancestors. It looked just a little awkward on her body. She was still somewhat lanky, her limbs and form having grown unequally, leaving her a bit gangly in her adolescent appearance. But that didn't impeded her movements, not at all.

Pich'Nkosana:
It was grudgingly that Pich admitted to himself she looked quite graceful slinking along he smirked seeing her inky tail trail behind her snowy form. He pulled his mind away from thoughts of the female quickly enough with a reminder to himself that were it not for her foolishness he wouldn't be hungry enough to hunt now.

He crouched low and shot forward easily to her side glancing at her for only a moment. "Just spook them my way..." With that he slipped away with only the barest movement of the taller grasses to give him away. The white tip of his tail poked up for only a moment, a notation for her of his position before it too vanished.

Fususi:
'Just spook them my way,' Fu thought with a frown. What a dumb thing to say. That was how lions and dogs hunted, not cheetahs. She could bring down her meals herself.
But, she knew he had her at an advantage and didn't really want to find out what being contrary would get her, so she did as she was told, stalking around one beast in particular. She glanced at where Pich was with a small frown before bolting at the preybeast, intending to herd it towards his position.

Though still young, she was fast. While when standing and walking her legs looked too long, they made her running strides enormous and that youthful energy she pent up by being mostly inactive. She wanted to jump at the prey itself, but that could put her in the way of her captor, so she simply ran with the other animal, from one side to another to keep it going in the way she wanted. It tried to kick at her, but she slid liquidly away from the blow each time, snapping at its legs.

Pich'Nkosana:
Pich smirked as he saw the drive in her, she was quick, but he knew he was quicker...still when she grew she might actually match him. The thought didn't annoy him the way he thought it should. Focusing on the task at hand he darted and easily like a perfectly aimed bullet shot out and brought the beast down his jaws quickly working on grasping it as he claws dug in and kept him steady. His energy surged as he felt the warm blood trickle against his tongue, his muzzle slowly dampen with it. Invigorating, that was why he hunted, not just for the food, but the thrill.

When he felt the animal go still beneath him he tore his mouth away, with more care then needed he slowly eased his claws from the pelt. Force of habit kept him for ruining most coats. He finally lifted his golden eyes to find Fu.

Fususi:
Fu stood to one side, watching him with passive crystal eyes as she panted slowly. He WAS good, but she'd never really watched other hunters before, besides her siblings and parents, so for all she knew he was just as good as any other cheetah. She assumed that she was to wait for him to order her again or whatever, so she watched him.
"Do you always hunt like that? With another, I mean," she asked softly, her head tilting to one side just a tiny bit.

Pich'Nkosana:
"No, but it's something I came up with to keep my cousin out of the way. He feels like a participant because he gets to scare them...but he isn't in my way for the takedown. It makes him happy to hunt with me so..." He shrugged, he preferred to hunt alone, eat alone, and sleep alone, but for his family he could tolerate anything.

"Come on...best grab what you want." He turned his back to her and started to eat his stomach felt tight and he intended to fill it.

Fususi:
"Oh..." Fu replied slowly and tilted her head. That was... actually a nice thing to do, let his cousin help like that. She probably wouldn't have ever thought of that herself. Well, maybe, but she couldn't imagine the situation ever calling for it. She wasn't too close with her brother and sisters, and all her older siblings had children of their own.
She joined him at the kill, being careful to stay out of his way. Although she likened herself to a lady, even a princess in her manners, she was never a dainty eater. She would clean herself thoroughly afterwards, but eating was best done quickly.
She ate a lot less than he did, mostly because she was smaller. But also because she had had something to eat earlier in the day, before meeting Pich and his cousin. When she was full, she stepped back and set about cleaning herself of anything that marred the pristine white of her coat.

Pich'Nkosana:
Pich ate with the tenseness of one who expected to be attacked, he was ever alert. His golden eyes darted from his meal and up and around them before returning to his food. Finally he finished and licked his lips with a contented growl. He smirked as he saw Fu trying to clean up and eyed her black tail again with a grin. "Don't worry if you miss a spot I'm sure no one would notice..."

He knew it irked her, and it amused him greatly, his golden eyes sparked with pleasure. He sat back and picked his paws carefully running them alongside his face and letting his tongue dart out to roughly lick away the blood. The taste was good, but he also knew better then to return home and sully his aunt's furs with bits of meat or blood. He valued his coat too much to ever upset his aunt.

Fususi:
"I never miss," Fu replied almost immediately, in a matter-of-fact tone rather than snapping at him as she might have if it hadn't been an automatic response. She had been teased enough about her cleaning habits that it was automatic to respond as she did, though looking up at Pich with narrowed eyes for a moment before standing up was something new, just for him. She smiled a bit and pointed to his cheek.
"You, however, did," she pointed out in a rather triumphant tone.

Pich'Nkosana:
His eyes narrowed and he had to clench his jaw shut at he brought his paw up quickly to wipe away the last red smear. Little smart mouth, he couldn't remember exactly why he had thought it a good idea to have her around. Still, the memory of his cousins expression, the way he looked at her, it made his chest tighten in annoyance.

"Maybe next time I'll just have you clean me..." He huffed and stood irritated at the way she had gotten a response out of him. "Lets get home...it's been a long day."

Fususi:
Fu flinched at the thought. Nothing Pich could say or do would make her clean him.
She stood and took a step away from him, then paused. She had been about to head home, to her family, her mother and father, her brother and sisters. But that wasn't what he'd meant. She couldn't go back to them, he wouldn't let her. If she tried to run, surely he'd hurt her. She swayed a little bit, eyes filling with tears. But she grit her teeth and bowed her head, turning back around in the "proper" direction. No tears fell, she wouldn't let them. She would NOT let him have that satisfaction.

Pich'Nkosana:
Pich moved alongside her despite his longing to run, he had seen the way she looked and didn't want her getting any silly ideas. His muscles flexed already to give chase despite the lack of anything to chase. His tail slowly whipped side to side and her frowned at her.
"You won't miss your family so much..."

He knew the words were hardly any sort of comfort, his chest tightened in memory of his brothers, his father, his mother. Sometimes he missed them, but mostly he tried to imagine how proud they would be of what he had become. He was strong, fast, and his aunt and uncle had given him all the skills and knowledge he needed to survive in the world.

Fususi:
"Shut up!" Fu snapped, rounding on Pich with a look of equal parts anger and sadness. How dare e suggest that! Of course she would miss her family a lot. Sure, she had been a little bit free-spirited and wanderly, but not having the ability to go see them again?? It was absolutely devastating!
"Only a cold-hearted monster would take someone and have the gall to say they won't miss their family so much!" At that, she turned her face away, eyes narrowed in anger as bitter tears of sadness fell from her eyes.

Pich'Nkosana:
He almost took a step back shocked by her response, what was the matter with her? Didn't she realize that he was going to make her into something useful, something better? Didn't she think her family would be proud of her someday when she was stronger, faster, smarter? He snarled at her and shoved past her. "Don't be such a stupid little fool, you should be grateful they won't see you again until you've made something of yourself."

Her words irritated him, he wasn't cold hearted...was he? No! His uncle had taken him from his family and he hadn't cried, tears were stupid, useless. What good did crying ever do for anyone? He was glad that his family hadn't seen him as a young bumbling cub, before he could catch his own meals, or fight, or run as fast as his mother had. He would have rather died then had to see his parents disappointment. He was eternally grateful to his aunt and uncle for molding him into the fierce warrior he was now. He rounded on Fu his eyes narrowed in anger. "Stop your crying! So ungrateful..." He frowned at her upset that she had upset him.

Fususi:
Fu flinched when Pich yelled at her, but she didn't stop crying. She had started and it was rather hard to stop at that point. But she moved as if she wasn't, didn't make a single sound.
"There's nothing in this world I could ever want from you," she whispered softly, her head down as she walked, focused on the ground before her. She was no fool. She knew what she wanted and that's what she was. Sure, she could wish that she was a bit more knowledgeable so that she didn't accidentally say something wrong, but she'd gotten over that pain for the most part when she was little. Now it just annoyed her.
And anyways, even if there was something she could learn from him, she didn't want it. Not like this. She wanted to go home...

Pich'Nkosana:
Irritated his ears pinned back and he growled softly under his breath before moving to walk guiding her back. He glanced at her and frowned at her tears before turning away and trying to forget them. Let her cry if she wanted, she would learn it was useless. Still deep down he felt his chest tighten, his eyes stung, but nothing escaped him. What did he have to cry over after all?
