 So, collected some ingredients and want to take your chances, do you? Step right in, step right in. You've come to the right place.
How does this work?
It's simple. Review the recipes below. Decide which one to use. Then fill in the form provided and post it here. Lumi will roll to see if your brewing was successful. If it was, your selected otter will go into the queue for its 'modifications'. If it was not, you will receive a consolation prize from Hazel (which will be paid out immediately, or go into the queue as well, depending.

What's the catch?
The biggest one is not all potions are going to succeed. I love you guys, but I'm not making a dozen free full customs. wink You can see the odds below, with the recipes.
The other 'catch' is that the modifications will take a while to complete. You're welcome to start RPing your new zombie/were/whatever immediately, but the art will take a while, so you'll have to be patient.

~ The Potion Recipes ~
Angelic Potion - makes an existing or future otter into an angelic otter - Feather, Blossom, Lace
Custom Clam - allows you to design a clam/otter (or predator) to your specifications (basically, a custom pet) - Blood, Blossom, Lace
Demonic Potion - makes an existing or future otter into a demonic otter - Blood, Dirt, Obsidian
Elder - makes an existing or future otter into an elder - Feather, Dust, Lace
Feral - makes an existing or future otter into a feral otter - Bone, Blossom, Fang
Glamour - the result of a failed Custom potion brewing; allows you to change one attribute of an existing or future pet (eye color, fur color, accessories, etc). - Blood, Blossom, Lace
Summon Familiar - summons a random familiar - Feather, Dirt, Fang
Summon Mini - the result of failed familiar potion; summons a random mini - Feather, Dirt, Fang
Vamp Potion - makes an existing or future otter/predator a vampire - Blood, Dust, Fang
Were - turns an existing or future otter into a werewolf/werebobcat, turns an existing wolf into a wereotter/bobcat ... and so on XD - Blood, Blossom, Fang
Zombie - makes an existing or future otter/predator into a zombie - Bone, Dirt, Fang
Added:
Mini growth serum - Grows a mini otter to full size - Feather, Dirt, Obsidian

~ F.A.Q. ~
Q. How many potions can I make?
A. Two. No exceptions, no mules, kthx.
Q. I didn't get enough items to make anything. ;o;
A. As long as you have 1 item, you can turn it in for a surprise. Be sure to bring it to Hazel.
Q. How long do I have to brew my potions?
A. Hazel will be accepting items until November 13th. After that, your items will be too stale to use in a potion.
Q. How long will it take for my otter/predator to change?
A. Lumi will work through the changes more or less in order they're received. Basically, the more complex the changes, the longer it'll probably take.
Q. Can I use two potions on the same otter?
A. This will be decided on a case-by-case basis. PM Lumi if you have a question about doing this and we'll work it out.
Q. How does the odds thing work?
A. Each potion as a x/10 rating (see above). For an angelic potion, for example, it says 5/10. To determine if your potion was successful, Lumi will roll a Gaia 10-sided die. In the case of the angelic potion, the roll would have to be 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 to be successful. In the case of the custom potion, the roll would have to be 9 or 10 to be successful. See how it works? EDIT: After early testing, I've decided to roll 2 dice for each potion to improve the odds slightly. You still only have to match one die. Everything else is the same.
Q. I have potion stuff but no otter. HALP!
A. You can save potions indefinitely (so, until you get an otter), or you can give them to someone else if you like. No selling the potions.
Q. When will the shop open to sell potions in the main thread?
A. Later.Q. Lady Aria Starstone Question, Lumi... Is it only two potions we're allowed to attempt or if we fail on one, are we allowed to attempt another should we have the ingredients? A. Good question. Looking back at the FAQ, it says you can only brew 2. All I want to limit is how many people end up with, not how many attempts. Sooo ... I'll say you can attempt what you like, as long as you don't come out with more than 2 in the end. But you can't try more than two at a time. And you can't try again if you already have 2.
SO IMPORTANT EDIT! That is, if you have more ingredients leftover you didn't already use for a potion attempt. You can't re-use anything. Items are consumed when you try to make a potion, so if your potion fails it doesn't spit them back out of anything. Thus the puddles of goo.

Q. So ... how much of a custom?
A. A full custom. If your potion succeeds, you'll need to fill in the custom form on the first page of the shop thread and PM it to the shop mule, ParkRanger.
Q. Can I use it on a predator?
A. Sure can.
Demonic Potion - n/a
Elder -
Q. Can I use an elder potion, then use a feral/were/etc etc?
A. Yes, but bear in mind there is no 'elder' predator art so your elder will revert to adult form in its were state if you use a were potion on it.
Feral - n/a
Glamour - the result of a failed Custom potion brewing
Q. What can I do with a Glamour? How complex can these be?
A. You can alter colors (eyes, fur, clothing, etc), or get simple line edits (a collar, a necklace, etc). What is 'simple' and what is 'complex' will be decided at Lumi's discretion.
Summon Familiar - 7/10
Q. Can I pick the type of familiar?
A. Yes, it's in the form.
Summon Mini - n/a
Vamp Potion - n/a
Were -
Q. Is it random whether my otter turns into a werebob or a werewolf? My bob turns into a wereotter or werewolf? (etc)
A. No, you can choose. It's in the form.

Okay, I added the mini growth potion, and took out all the extra 'an's in the forms. Because I copied the Angelic form throughout and caused massive grammar fail. xd
