HanGeng was slowly wondering through the very edges of the territory of Draug Faroth and the free lands. This territory that he was now the Beta Male of was beautiful, plenty of room, a lot of game and the Alpha was kind and fatherly rather than vicious or cold. HanGeng felt like he finally had the home he had been searching for.
His dark eyes seemed to have a new, content light in them and he was more than happy to spend some time just getting to know the area as best he could. The Alpha was trusting him with an awful lot of responsiblity, including approving new members, guarding this pack with everything he had, and making sure that all of the little things were taken care of so Haku could relax.
His dark nose stuck out towards the freelands, trying to tell if anyone was near by. He caught a few scents, though none seemed overly threatening. His tail wagged a little behind him as he swore some were getting stronger, as though they were moving closer.

River had been heading this way after the pack she had been helping had fallen apart. It wasn't something she was overly thrilled about but she still had her Chip and Icer. They were always with her, which was something at least. She had left them a little way away while she continued to wander. Chip felt some odd and was having one of his 'seer' moments as she called them. Icer stayed with her father as she always did along with that stupidly annoying squirrel that seemed to follow Chip everywhere.
River was aware that this was pack territory or was at least currently occupied. The scents of a group of wolves was clear and that was one reason she didn't bring Chip and Icer with her. She adored them too much to risk them being hurt in packlands and Chip was always a risk when he was having his 'seer' moments. She let out a soft sigh and stopped walking, listening and sniffing at the air. Someone was heading in her direction.
She stood as still as she could trying to work out whether it would be worth going back and leaving but she could only hear what sounded like one wolf. A lone wolf was hardly threatening and she could run before he called the rest of the pack if he or she wanted to attack.
Taking what seemed to be the deepest breath ever she continued to walk towards where the wolf was coming from. A male is smelt like. She made herself look as submissive as a wolf could, she knew trying to act important in packlands was a mistake and she knew she was on or at least very close to some so it wasn't a risk she was about to take.

When HanGeng detected that the female was moving closer to him, his curiousity peaked. When he came upon her, he noticed how absolutly gorgeous the female was, and his grin grew a little. What an honor it would be to speak to a true beauty like this female. And she seemed submissive, not wanting trouble. That was good, he really didn't want trouble either.
He continued on, stopping just in front of her and taking a seat. This was his way of showing he didn't mean her any harm. This pack was all about greeting wolves in a friendly manner as long as they did not carry an ill-intent, and this femme did not seem to have one.
His tail gave a slight wag behind him a nd he tilted his head a little. His chest was puffed out a bit, his head high enough that one could realize he was high in rank. While he wasn't the Alpha, he was the Beta and Haku trusted him with many responsibilities, including seeing if those who entered their lands were hostile.
"Hello, My Lady. Welcome to Draug Faroth." He bowed his head in a proper greeting, "It is an honor to meet you. My name is HanGeng, I'm the Beta Male on these lands." His tone held pride in the lands and the family this pack was--he was not blood related to any one of them, but they might as well have been.
"These lands are open and very accepting. You are more than welcome to stay here as long as you'd like, as long as you hold no ill-will towards any of our pack members."

River was shocked at the reception she got if nothing else. It wasn't often you wandered on to someones territory and they greet you so kindly.
"I apologize for wandering on your lands, I am River." She spoke softly and stayed in her submissive pose though she wondered if it was even worth it now. He seemed happy with her being there.
"Thank you for being so welcoming, many packs aren't as nice." She was being truthful and tried to sound as sincere as she could. She was still somewhat shocked and slightly confused at just how nice they seemed to be.
"What is your pack like, if I may ask?" She was curious, after all a pack so welcoming seemed like it would be a nice pack and she was starting to tire of all this wandering. Whether Chip and Icer felt the same she wasn't so sure but she needed to settle down soon.

Her words brought a bigger smile to his maw and he bowed his head again in a polite manner. She was quite gorgeous, it was rare to meet a wolf of her stature.
"We are both welcoming and accepting. Our Alpha sees us as family despite the lack of blood bonds, and is always happy to meet new family members. The only thing we do not tolerate is those with ill-intent or tratiors. That is when the full force of our pack comes together to take care of such issues." He was much like the Alpha in that the two of them were on the larger side, muscular rather than fat. HanGeng was well trained in fighting and battles, hence his responsiblities for protecting those he saw as family.
This female made him rather curious. She seemed quite wise. There were a few other scents on her, most likely wolves she traveled with. But why was she alone now, then?

A family? Interesting.
River thought about that for a while and then looked back at him.
"Are there many blood related families in the pack?" She was curious, mostly because she knew some small packs didn't really have the blood ties and she had Chip and Icer. She couldn't just leave them without her so it was something to think about.
"The pack is defiantly interesting. Something like I haven't heard before, thats for sure."

HanGeng remained silent while the female thought, but shook his head a little when he heard the words. "One of the Alpha's daughters is around. A lot of the wolves here have come from packs that broke apart. We have banded together to not only survive, but survive in the best ways possible."
Life wasn't just about surviving until the next day, after all. Haku spoke of living happily, thriving on being a family. It was a nice thought.
"At first it seemed a little odd to me. Like the Alpha was a little too much of a pushover. But he's run a pack before this, and he seems to know what he's talking about." He shrugged his shoulders. "With the way he speaks, it's hard to doubt that he is indeed wise."
He then tilted his head, looking to the female. "We hope to have a few mated pairs here soon, so that there will be more blood ties. But blood and linage have never been a big issue."

River listened to everything, taking it all in and thinking about it maybe a little too much.
"Okay... in which case you should probably meet my son and granddaughter." Yes River had decided they could indeed get on together but she would have to have Chip give him the once over. She never understood Chip's powers properly but she trusted her son's judgment. River's family meant the world to her so these decisions weren't taken lightly.
"They are back here." She then turned and headed back to where Chip and Icer were. She gave a small bark as she headed towards them. The two wolves appeared soon enough, a blue and tan femme and the male who seemed to have a mix of colours.
"This is my son Chip and his daughter Icer." She smiled as she spoke, oh how she adored her family.

HanGeng followed the other curiously. When he saw the other's family, he gave a small nod as a greeting. "It is an honour to meet you both." The large silver dragon tilted his head a little as he looked them over. He could see the relation between them, they all held a distinct attractiveness that they were sure to have gotten from their grandmother.
"River and I were merely speaking of the territory here, Draug Faroth. I am the Beta male there." His tone showed that he was proud of the position, and that he was well trusted.
"I was curious as to if the three of you would consider staying for a short while. There's plenty of room and a lot of fresh meat from a recent hunt. It would be nice to have a bit of extra company."

River let him explain a little to her relatives, she watched their reactions as he spoke and Chip eventually turned to her and nodded. She knew Icer would stay though for how long she would never know. Icer was a free spirit. River couldn't help but smile. A home again, they were going to have a home again.
"We would all be delighted to stay here." She spoke with a large smile on her maw and she looked at her son and granddaughter. She wished so much for the rest of the family to be here but things never worked that way, both of her litters were goodness knows where. At least she had Chip.
"It will be nice to have a home again."

HanGeng was more than pleased by this, his eye glowing and reflecting that happiness. Having new pack members was always a great thing, but there was something special about these three. They were sure to bring happiness to the pack, Haku would love the positive energy that the three gave off.
"Then let me be the first to welcome you home," He bowed in a polite manner before turning to look off in the direction of the dens. "There are plenty of spare dens for you to chose from, if you need any help finding one suitable I'd be more than happy to do so. Then when you're free, I would like to take you to meet the Alpha. He is a very kind wolf and will be happy to see there are new additions to our family."
With that, he took a few steps off towards the main den area, expecting the three to follow.
