 Caloki ran across the open meadow as the sun reached it's highest point in the sky. She had been enjoying her day so far, earlier she caught a mouse and spent the longest time taunting it with the possibility of freedom before turning it into her midday snack. The joy she got out of watching the little mouses eyes full of fear as she batted it with her paws and then let go of it, giving it that small sense of freedom was quite thrilling. Her parents had never approved of her ways and that was why she left their home as soon as she could. Since then she had been roaming the various meadows and forests looking for some place to call home. Although she had to admit the idea of settling down in one spot was the furthest thing from her thoughts right now. She was looking for adventure, fun and well, someone to torment as well. For tormenting others was like a fun little past time she par took in as often as she could. Stopping under the shade of a tree to escape the heat of the sun she looked out across the meadow. It was a beautiful sight to see the grasses swaying in the gentle breeze.

 Kynon was feeling rather pleased with himself as he made his way through the meadow grasses - he'd had a brief fling with a local Fox and managed to sneak out this morning without rousing her. That was always a plus...females could be so damn cling once they decided to get their claws into you. Or once they thought they had their claws in your rather - Kynon had no intentions of letting anyone get their claws into him just yet.
He was chuckling slightly at these thoughts when a speck of movement caught his attention..hmm, now what was this? could he be so lucky as to run across another companion so very quickly? Kynon paused briefly to watch as the blue and purple fox made her way under a shade tree. Heh..she's waiting for you chap he thought to himself and after a quick once over to make sure his fur was sleek and smoothed down Kynon settled into a jaunty gait and made his way over.
"Today" He announced as he came to a stop and smiled down at her ith a dazzling smile "Is your very lucky day"

Caloki sat up as the male fox came up to her. Oh no, she thought as he smiled at her. What exactly did he want. She stared at him for some time before finally deciding to say something.
"Oh and how do you figure this is my lucky day?" She asked, although she had a feeling he would reply with something along the lines of because you get to spend time with me. Her only hope was that he would leave her alone, for she had no intention of seeking out any company right now.

"Because the winds of fate have decided to bless you with fine and charming company on a day not nearly so fair as yourself" Kynon proclaimed with an air of poetry in his voice. Without asking or waiting for an invitation Kynon moved closer and sat down primly beside her, curling his tail about his paws.
There was no way she could resist such charm he assured himself as he eyed her mutli-hued coat speculatively, it rather complimented his own - which was a pleasing change, it was so hard to find good looking partner sometimes and he'd started to tire with merely settling. "may I ask your name fair maiden? Or shall I just call you Angel - because you've clearly fallen from heaven"

"Winds of fate?" She asked as she stood and took a few steps away from him. What was his problem? Did he just think she would swoon over him? She stared coldly at him, clearly he had no concept of personal space or boundaries. This was not what she had intended on having happen when she stopped to rest, why were men always throwing themselves at whatever female they could find?
"Now why would I share my name with you?" She looked down at him. Her anger started to boil now. This was why she avoided males at all costs. All they did was cause grief and frustration.

Kynon gave her an amused look as she moved off and bent to lick smooth some slightly ruffled fur while keeping his gaze on her, hmmm..she didn't seem to be buying his lines - perhaps she had a bad history with males...or maybe she was just playing hard to get. Kynon choose to go with the 'hard to get' option - mostly because it favored his attempts a bit more then baggage would.
"Well..." He stated giving her a smile "That is typically the etiquette code when meeting new Foxes...we greet each other, exchange names and pleasantries...I though this was a widely known fact" He continued in an amused tone "I am called Kynon"

She rolled her eyes as he explained the etiquette of meeting someone new. She was well aware of how one she act when meeting someone new, but there were times when it was better to use a little restraint before divulging personal information about ones self. Especially when one seemed to force themselves upon a stranger, most foxes would be smart enough to with hold their name or at least give a fake one.
"I am well aware of proper etiquette, but I am not a rule follower." She locked his name away in her memory for future reference, that way if she ever heard mention of a fox named Kynon again she would know to steer clear of that area. Studying him carefully she thought about giving him a fake name, but no that would only lead to him calling her that name, which would annoy her even more than him knowing her real name. No he would have to work to know her name.

"Clearly" He responded with a slight chuckle "I can see your the rebellious type, thats alright though - I happen to like the Rebellious type" He continued with a waggle of his eyebrows - which might or might not have been meant to be taken seriously.
Alright so things didn't seem to be going his way so far - but Kynon wasn't worried quite yet - after all she hadn't run aay or anything and that was always a good sign. Perhaps he ought to try and tone it down however...or at least try to win her over with some small talk - ugh...he hated small talk such a waste of time. "Well since you've ever so clearly stated it wasn't the sound of my name and your undying hopes to met me which brought you to this lovely meadow...what has? Wandering or do you live around here?"

Shaking her head as he stated he liked the rebellious type, she was sure he said that about every female he met and just changed it to fit whatever type she turned out to be. She took a few more steps away, this time looking away from him for a moment to study the outlying meadow then turned her attention back to him. She didn't want to let her guard down around him.
"I live here." She told him, though it was an utter lie. She was merely passing through. "Just over there" she indicated the direction with a tip of her head. Yes perhaps he would believe her and decide to stick around for a while giving her a chance to escape. If all else failed well there were other ways to deal with males like this.

"Really now?" He clicked his tongue and glanced in the direction she indicated, though he didn't see any obvious signs of habitation that didn't mean much he knew, though it seemed somewhat unlikely that she would refrain from giving him her name yet tell him exactly where she lived.
"Is the area nice?" He questioned after a few moments of silence "I'm just passing through...but you never know when you might find a place to settle down" He continued with a sincere look. Gee but she was an aloof one now wasn't she? Perhaps merely being nice would eventually make her unfreeze. Kynon had never meet a fox like her before - and frankly he found it rather interesting.

"Of course its a nice area." She semi snapped at him. "Look around you." Her gaze fell once again on the meadow. It was a beautiful place, and had she been looking for a place to settle down in this would likely be it, or at least it would have been until she meet Kynon. Now she knew for certain she wouldn't stay here. The sooner she got away from him the better.
The only reason she had stayed and talked with him thus far was she did thoroughly enjoy messing with the minds of males. And he seemed all too easy a target. Now for the fun part. "My neighbor is real nice. Has a daughter who just absolutely throws herself at any male that comes by. Maybe you should go meet her. You two would make a lovely pair."

Kynon quirked an eyebrow at her as she snapped at him, an action which he knew tended to bring attention to the white markings beneath his eyes. The Ladies were always saying how much they loved his silver eyes with their mysterious white markings underneath.
"I'm sorry...I expect my standards of beauty have risen a few bars after meeting you, after looking upon you the meadow is merely a dim rendition of what beauty could truly be" Kynon responded lavishly.
Her news about this so called neighbor was amusing...and had it been true he might have taken her up on that offer, but Kynon was fairly certain she was just trying to get rid of him so he merely smiled. "And why would I desire to find another when I have just a lovely and joyous companion at my side already?"

Caloki sighed as she went on about how his expectations have risen since meeting her. She was sure he used that line a lot. He did seem to be that kinda of male, the ones who expected every woman to just throw themselves at him the moment they saw him, well thankfully she was not one of those females. She preferred the solitary life. It allowed her to come and go as she pleased with nothing or no one to tie her down to one place.
Her plan to get rid of him had not worked, though she honestly didn't think it would have. She would have to resort herself to something a bit more drastic for she was quickly tiring of his presence. "Don't you find it exhausting to be this full of yourself all the time?" She asked him, diverting her eyes back to the meadow.

Kynon laughed slightly at her question "Not really...I find it rather a shame that most good looking creatures never seem to realize it about themselves" He admitted with a grin - and it was the truth, I mean if you were good looking why not let yourself enjoy it?.
"Take yourself for example..you are a fine looking she-fox, a foxy fox if you will...and yet you do seem somewhat inclined not to acknowledge this, don't you find it exhausting to be so angry all the time?" He turned the question back at her with a good natured wink.

"Not everyone is as vain as you." She replied to him. He was certainly doing his best to get under her skin. She gave him an odd look when he said that she didn't acknowledge her own beauty. "Oh so just because I haven't thrown myself at you with your fancy words and so called charm I don't think myself good looking?"
"And no it's not exhausting to be angry all the time, it comes quite naturally to me." Her tail flicked around angrily. "Especially when I am being pestered." She couldn't take much more of this. While she did enjoy messing with most males he was not like the other males she had met before. He was so much more frustrating. This was not at all what she had in mind when she decided to stick around and talk with him. Most males would have been driven off by her ways by now, which was what she enjoyed most, but he stuck around stubbornly, clearly hoping for much more than an idle conversation between them.
