I done it again! This time, I got a Mossberg 500 Persuader!'
For $10.
Actually, the Henry US Survival Rifle and $10. Mom was disappointed in how it handled and shot, and I'm moving the collection towards utility, so the trade was a no-brainer.

To clarify, since there are seven or so different kinds of Persuader, I got the plain 8-shot model. Monte Carlo stock, ring-style fore end.
You'll get your pix when the sun goes down so I can bring it inside without the neighbors calling the cops. Paranoid, nosy ********.

Normal "hunting" stock. I would never own a pistolgrip-only shotgun. Knowing several people who have, even being ready for it can STILL net you a gun to the face. This one

I must have been thinking of another Mossberg... Still, great deal you got there. biggrin And yeah, I really couldn't even imagine firing a full-sized shotgun with only a pistol grip. It seems... silly. xp

But mine is just the stock, and that's the way I like it. Looking at the bolt, though... I think I might have gotten a 590 for the price of a 500! I can't see any 500 models with blued bolts, but mine is blued. The 590 series has several.

The lighting sucks in that video, but nice score.

Desert_Fox_Rommel The lighting sucks in that video, but nice score. It's the damn camera. Isn't good in any sort of low-light, and that means indoor incadescent. And the pictures with flash looked like utter s**t, because it was TOO bright.

ANd I don't have any ammo yet. I plan to fix that with a trip to walmart to get a cheap box of bulk birdshot. The buck comes later.

Though the Extrema is semi, so I'm not sure how valid the comparison is.

I just picked up some 7, so I'll see how this rakes up with the composit stock with (humongous) recoil pad, and the 20" barrel. I LOVE Mossberg's elevator design. No caught fingers! The elevator is up and our of the way the entire time. Did you know Mossberg includes "+1" as the magazine capacity? They count the chamber as the magazine. WIN! ...Anyone want to loan me 8 rounds of #3, #2, or #00?

No one wants to spot me some buck?
I also finally got off my a** and got my license. Crazy ******** always come out when I drive, so I gave up till I started Driver's Ed. They still came out, but I wasn't allowed to stop, so I got all my required driving hours and a certificate to give insurance ( and turns out, while we get a good single-driver/single-car rate, they don't give the class discount and their multi-driver rates suck)
