Many lions would be proud if they were big and strong like Ceyx was. Many of them would be very proud of this size and they would also want to be this big, it was great for protecting themselves and also great for fighting. Around this area it would be a very great thing, many other lions would be jealous of this 'gift' of a size. However she could tell you this much. But he didn't think of it of a gift. Not only did he avoid playing, not wanting to hurt some one. He was also a bit of a clutz. And man did he hate it. He really hated it.
Once more his feet were playing tricks on him. It was earlier in the morning and he was one of the last out of the den it was rare but he just happened to be up last. It felt a little good to be wandering out of the den last. The area around him was quiet and he had a chance to be by himself. However he found himself stumbling out of the den landing face first. "Man..." He whined slightly.

Amaranta had watched the ruler's son from a distance. He really was quite the large lion, even at his young age Amaranta could tell that he was going to be huge, possibly even bigger then his father. When he tripped over his own paws she couldn't help but chuckle a little. It was clear that the Caesar's cubs did not face the same agility training that Atia forced her cubs through on a daily basis.
Amaranta walked towards Ceyx, he might not be agile and smooth but he was the Cesar's son and as such a worthy ally to her. Her mother after all was always talking about how important it was to make the right connections and who was a better connection than the Cesar's family.
"Hello Ceyx" she said to him, it had been awhile since she had last spoken to him, and she was overcome by how big he had gotten as she made it to his side. They were roughly the same age, but lions were often bigger then leopards, but even still he towered over her.

Ceyx huffed slightly as he fixed himself to sit correctly on his haunches.He grunted slightly lifting a paw and licking it slightly. His mother said that he would grow into his paws. He knew he was already a good fighter, and on top of that he loved to learn. The only thing that was slowing him down was his paws. Hopefully his other was right, oh he really hoped his mother was right. He licked at his paw making sure to keep himself clean, if he did that he didn't have to worry about his mother trying to clean him later. He was pretty focused for a moment until he picked up the scent of another. It was one that he had smelt before.
He looked up as the noticed a leopard that he had met before. Amaranta. She had also got a little bigger, then again he knew that his brothers and sisters were born around the same time as her family. He sat up some and nodded toward her. "Hello Amaranta, what a surprise to see you around here." He gave her a half smile before flicking his hair out of his eyes. He put on a pleasant smile before looking at her. "What brings you around here?" He asked curiously. he wasn't just starting a conversation this time. He seriously wanted to know why she was around here, it was a little odd to him. That is unless for what ever reason she was looking for some one in his family...

Amaranta blushed and bowed her head, she hoped that Ceyx didn't think she was using him, she might be a little bit, but it wouldn't be good for him to figure that out. "I was just seeking out an old friend, I hadn't seen you in so long." she said smoothly hoping the other cub would like the compliment.
"After all my mother always has meetings with your father, I thought perhaps we should get to know each other better." She let a sly smile move across her face. If there was one thing Amaranta was good at it was smooth talking, that and looking good, she prided her self in how well maintained she kept her appearance. She eyed Ceyx, he seemed pretty well kept, much nicer then some of her brothers, who didn't seem to understand that idea of a bath or cleaning in general.

Ceyx shrugged slightly before letting out a large yawn and padding his paws on the ground a bit. "I've been around. Nowhere much to go." He chuckled slightly with a shrug. "Too much training going on around here, and well I'd really rather not wander out of the pride some times." He chuckled slightly and shook his head. He hated being the ceasar's son some times. Everyone expected a lot of out him. Even though sure he took care of it all pretty good most of the time there was a few times where he really wished he could be a cub and nothing more. But he had to do everything he could. His mother made sure too keep him clean. He leanred also to make sure he was clean. Learned his manners, learned to fight, was very smart. Kept up in his studies and anything else a lion like him would need to know....
"My father has meetings with many others." He laughed slightly before shaking his head then nodding toward her. "But I don't see the harm in it. But I'm not often pulled into my father's affairs." He shrugged before sitting up a little straighter. "What do you have in mind?" He asked curiously.

Amaranta nodded as the other cub mentioned training. Her and her siblings were were put through rigorous training daily, to work with on their fighting/hunting skills, their speaking skills, and of course their social skills. "Training sucks sometimes, I wish we had more time off." she told him with a smile, in all honesty she liked her training, and showing her brothers up in training, it made her feel good about herself.
"I could only imagine that your father has a lot of others to meet with, I mean he is in charge, he has a whole pride to run." as she mentioned the pride she shifted her body looking around the area, her pride her home, it was bustling with activity.
"I am not sure what we should do but I am sure we can find something. We have a pride at our disposal, we are the new generation, the future." she smiled knowing that she sounded somewhat silly, but she was having fun, she found Ceyx fun to be around.

Ceyx looked at the female before chuckling slightly himself, he couldn't help but to give it a small shrug. "I don't mind training." He flicked his hair out of his eyes then smiled at her. Then nodded. "My mom doesn't like us to be over worked, she makes sure that we get some time off, it's really good but some times those days I really wish I was training because otherwise I don't have anything to do and I end up being bored all the time." He let out a small laugh as he sat back more, flicking his tail around and adjusting his legs so he was comfortable. He flicked his tail around a few times then grinned at her. "I really like training some times."
"I'm not sure if he had others to meet." He chocked his head to the side thinking about it, he never really heard his father talking about meeting anyone else in the pride. he wasn't that sure if his father had to meet with others. He was sure that he did but then again he didn't know he didn't want to say that his father did when he wasn't that sure himself.

Amaranta chuckled, it didn't overly surprise her that Ceyx didn't have more information about his father's day to day activities, he seemed much more laid back than Amaranta was.
"I love training." she chimed in. Amaranta and most of her siblings spent a great deal of time training and practicing. There was lots a young one had to learn. She grinned at the lion cub.
"I train all of the time!!!" Amaranta was proud of her training schedule.

Ceyx flicked her tail around a few times then nodded at the leopardess then stretched out a little more. "Some times there is too much training in the pride." He chuckled a bit then sighed slightly. "I don't know I like to have some time to wander away and spend some time by myself or to act like a cub." He chuckled a little bit before shrugging

Amaranta chuckled, "I am the exact opposite of you my dear Ceyx." she told the other cub. "I can't wait to be an adult, to be big and in control. I love my training." Amaranta stretched, feeling all her muscles stretching.
"I work hard all the time. I have to work hard and learn all the things my mother has to teach me. I have to compete against my brother's after all." Amaranta was fairly transparent in her desires, she felt wrong to disagree with the Cesar's son, but Amaranta liked to be truthful.

Ceyx laughed slightly shaking his head a little bit, he couldn't help it. "I like the idea of being a kid when you have the chance." That was a very good idea to him. He wasn't that sure why but being able to be a kid for whenever he could made him happy, it made him enjoy life even more. He didn't want to be royalty. He didn't want to be an adult he just wanted to be a kid and that was all to it. He didn't get why She wanted to grow up so far but either way she didn't mind. "I know the feeling. I don't know I kind of gave up competing after a while. I don't mind I just don't feel like I should push myself that I have just as much chance at getting as everyone else.

Amaranta shook her head, she didn't know what it was like to be a kid, her and her siblings were never babied, her mother had them up and competing as soon as was possible. She never had the chance to look at her siblings in any way other than as competitors. After all they were after the same thing she was... her mother's love and attention.
The only time she did get to be child like was when her father was around... but that wasn't very often. He was a rouge and he wondered all around the place. When she was a very little girl she would dream of what life would be like if he was always around, but since she had hardened and no longer thought that way.
"To each there own I suppose." she said to the lion cub. "I should get going soon, Mother will have been wondering where I am, and if I miss tonights training I will have my hide handed to me. It was really nice to see you again though, I hope we run into each other again soon." she said the last part with an overly large smile on her face. Sincerity wasn't her strong point.

Ceyx looked at the leopardess and nodded to her. She seemed like a strange creature to him. The way she was raised and seemed to be treated was very strange to him. He wasn't used to that idea. He knew for a fact that he enjoyed training and he didn't get to see his parents all the time but he liked the idea of being able to do what he wanted he was a strong and large lion however he didn't have much of a voice... Well he didn't like to talk much, he was quiet and he liked it.
"It was really good seeing you again." He chuckled with a nodd before flicking his 'mane' out of his eyes. "I hope to see you again soon, maybe we can practice some nesxt tiem." He nodded with a large smile./
