 The day was dreary and full of rain and the occasional sprinkles, but it didn't stop this busy girl, oh no. It probably should, but she was determined to go improve her hunting skills by catching something in the rain. After all, adults did it all the time, why couldn't she? Because you're blind... That voice always answered her with the same thing every time she asked herself a question. She had to keep a huge secret because of her father. In a way, the Gasht wanted to hate him for what he passed on to her, but he helped her through it as best as he could; until he left. He actually tried with Kim'acha because he felt guilty. She knew that but still couldn't hate him.
Sighing as she looked around inside of the borders for something, she frowned. It was to noisy to concentrate on sound, and she couldn't see any kind of moving shape. She wanted to give up, but her father's stubborn ways stuck with her. She couldn't. This little lioness felt like she had something to prove, and not just because she was the only high ranking female her mother had. It's a way to overcome my disability. If I can hunt with no sight, then they can't kick me down to my sister's level. Right? I can't make momma sad. That thought floated through her mind again and again. That's what kept pushing her forward, the will to please her mother.
Setting off again, Kim neared the borders, but she wouldn't pass. In this weather it was too dangerous for a juvenile or a cub.

Gin was tired. Very tired.. of almost living away from home. She was.. mostly black and also red to start and it wasn't a fine mix of what she gathered. Mother. Was black too but she couldn't understand.. How this low status brought such hardship and she couldn't take how her father... just left. He didn't even say goodbye.. in person! 'He said goodbye...that he loves you' And that was the worst.. after he left she just didn't feel connected at all. Why.. so many whys yet she couldn't bare. Bare the thought of having been left alone. In what seemed to be a loving home felt suffocating with so much suffering, and having painted faces with smiles.. And pretending to be loving. NO! She couldn't understand what her mother saw in honor or this society or why she treasured her sibling.. the secret. What garbage they spat about dark pelts.
Light colored pelts.. lionesses.. this she could not bare! So she.. attacked. Her brain went sea saw and she couldn't distinguish 'pride' or 'honor' anymore. It just brought on hate.. but little did she know.. one of her siblings was that of a light color. Odd color.. something worth it for the pride and it ached her. She HATED it. She was left and when the rain came.. she lifted her head. Hearing something against the rain.. and as she scanned.. she saw Her. The secret to mother's love.
And when the revenge and impulse got to her.. With that she started to run across from where she laid in cover. A tree not so far.. and darted with all her might.. Rain hit her like bullets... and the rage in her heart pushing her forward..

Light colored pelts, dark colored pelts... it all made sense to her. But she got the good explanation of things from her teachers; from her grandmother and grandfather. Kim knew nothing of her sisters' misery because she had little to none. As long as she pretended to have eye sight, everyone doted on her. Gandpa loved her so much, and Grandma too. Even Aunt Aekea seemed to like her.
Her hunt wasn't going well. Nothing was out in this rain right now, unless she went beyond the border. She wasn't that dumb. Sure she did some stupid things in her life so far, but she wasn't going to get hurt. Sitting down in the rain, tail flicking, Kim'acha turned purple eyes to the pride and frowned. It was all so blurred together and so dark. Shivering a little bit more against the rain, the yellow one slipped in the mud as she tried to turn around to go back to Grandma's den.
She didn't hear her sister splashing towards her in the rain. She sensed nothing but dreary rain. She liked it in a way, but didn't.

The little secret.. How it angered her to have more so affectionate all the time to make up for the downed looks they got in the pride. Such pretty pelts. So beautiful.. Right!? She was starting to cry.. it hurt.. and she felt like a spirit of sorts was curling around her heart and tightening it as she drew near her sister.. Angered. Until she finally got to close enough to hear her breathing and slammed all her body weight from her head into her sister's side and trying to grab on to her via her mussel in to her sister's yellow pelt. In a tight grip and immediately started to shake her head!
If it wasn't for the way people looked down at her and her other dark sisters. If it wasn't because of the mental instability... She'd probably curl around her sister and cling to her. Love her.. But ... with her being the dirty secret and because everyone loved her more.. She couldn't take it. And.. rebelled at her. Little did she know why her sister was a secret in the first place.. Maybe if she would have known about her.. maybe this would be different. But all the came to be now? There was no chance of her backing down.. she'd honor her sisters.. others WILL NOTICE HER!

Teeth sank into her flesh, whoever had started shaking their head. Blood spilled down the light colored pelt, a scream ripped from her lips. But she wasn't completely helpless. Just in a state of shock that something was attacking her in her own pride. It seemed whatever had grabbed skin on her back.
Kim twisted her body, swiping at a dark pelt she finally recognized. Why would her sister do this to her? It wasn't right. What did Kim ever do to her dark sisters? She played with them, loved them, didn't treat them differently. Not yet, anyway. Maybe she would once training started, but now she was an innocent girl who always played with her dark siblings. She kept swiping, trying to get the dark one off of her, growling and crying out in pain.

After a moment her eyes opened and after a few swipes.. but the scream is what made her jaw crack as she tried to pull away. Blood splattering in her eyes as she shook her head and put both her paws down in to her sister's back to push her down. She gave out a roar of pain from the swipes that took to her face.
"WHY! YOU!~ WHY WAS IT YOU!"
Having her paws still on her but not trying to grasp for breath..
But in that moment.. as she looked down.. Her eyes.. They were ..like her father's.
"Your-....!!!!" Her eyes widened. Ears tucked back as she loosened and moved back.

Yes, her eyes were like her father's, but it didn't mean anything, not really. Kim'acha pushed her off when she eased back and slowly got to her paws, feeling the blood dripping, confused, hurt emotionally and physically, the yellow female didn't know what to make of this. What did she do?
"W-what... did I do?" she gasped for air, she got far enough away that she could, watching her dark sibling. Her ears folded back and she shook her head. "Gin... what did I do to deserve being attacked by you? We're sisters.." Naturally, her vision was blurred from a combination of dust and dirt in her eyes, and the secret her and her father shared. Swallowing thickly, the yellow cub whimpered at the pain that coursed through her at all the bites.

Her ears went up.. Those eyes. Her father was blind. Did.. she share that with him? "Your.. not like us! You don't know!" She growled.. In her defense .. she was.. She thought this would make things better. Finally fighting her sibling that took a rank that her mother adored. "...I .. I didn't know.. I didn't know you were.." SHe sniffled and tears started to stream down her face. She couldn't believe ..
"They look down on us! Be-Because we're.. we're not bright like .. you are!" She yelled.. "All of us darklings!" Then casted her gaze down and melted in to a just horrible feeling. "I didn't know you were blind! I didn't know thats why Mommy protected you and loved you bestest! I'm SORRY! I'm.. Im sorry!" She yelled and turned away.. enough energy to just run.. breaking her heart to what she had done.. It hurt so badly. She had brought shame on the family and hurt a sister that.. was had a disability and it ruined what she thought of herself. What her mother would say.. what the pride to say and that's what drove her... To hide from the judgement. She didn't look back at her sister. It would have brought her thoughts but this.. this burned in to her memory.

Kim didn't even try to call her sister to her. Her wounds hurt, some of the blood wouldn't stop flowing, and she was to worried to. Her mind owas occupied with why her sister had done it. She didn't know how the others ranked, no, but she knew they weren't treated bad. They just had different things to do in the pride than Kim did. Let her sister hide. She would do the same. Hide her sister's shame and clean up the evidence.

Amiss~ Gin disappeared. Without another otter.. She sniffling along the way. Juno.. Where was she? Where did her look alike sister go to? Didn't she say she wanted to leave? Leave this place where 'home' was? Yes.. She could run away with her? Right? Disappear with her and start new? Was it that big? To have fought a sister? - Yes... One that couldn't defend against another sister and the scars she will hold for the memories..
The grudge she held for so long- and to result that she was wrong all along..
