Stitchstar's True Feelings
A brown patched tabby tom say gnawing at his hind paw. Around it were thick wads of web, and stiff yucca leaves protruded from the ends. He muttered to himself as he did so, backing off for a second to examine the damage. So far, he'd only managed to break a few strands.
"Foxdung!" He spat.
"Is that any way for a deputy to speak?"
The tom's ears perked, and he looked toward the cliff face, to see a sleek black she-cat squeeze in through a crack in the wall. He blinked, turning his gaze to the ground, and flattening his ears in embarrassment. The she-cat crossed the grassy clearing to him, and greeted him with a lick between his ears.
"You don't have to do this you know, Crescentmoon, I'm fine alone." He muttered.
"Don't give me that. Just because you're deputy now, Stitchpelt, doesn't mean that I can't treat you like my best friend anymore!" Crescentmoon scolded him. She eyed his leg, then glared at him. "You're never going to heal by destroying the cast."
"I shouldn't even be in this thing!" Stitchpelt hissed.
"As if that kit didn't deserve saving," she sighed.
"I'm a deputy, I should have been able to save that kit and not get injured." He muttered, resting his head on his paws. Crescentmoon lay beside him and began to groom behind her ears.
"Deputy or not, you're not invincible Stitchpelt. Remember that when you become leader." Crescentmoon murmured. "Now, because you're mortal, I'm going to get you some fresh, fresh-kill. Nothing from the pile for you!"
She sprang up a little sooner than Stitchpelt would have liked and headed for the entrance, but just before she disappeared, he called to her.
"Crescentmoon, do you think I'll be a good leader?" He called. She turned around, and gave a brief nod. He couldn't help the smile in his eyes as he added, "More than any other cat?"
"You already know the answer to that," she purred warmly, turning around and disappearing through the entrance. Stitchpelt lie back, feeling his heart thrum wildly. He liked Crescentmoon, he really did, but he just hadn't the courage to tell her yet. What kind of deputy was he when he couldn't even tell a she-cat his feelings?
But all of that would change soon. When she got back he would tell her the things he had wanted to since they were apprentices. He would tell her of all the love he'd kept bottled up for her, and he would let them in out in three words, "I love you."
x.x.x
Stitchpelt blinked awake when he felt the touch of a warm pelt against his. He hadn't remembered falling asleep, but he soon forgot about it when he noticed a few poppy seeds infront of him. Shaking his head, he looked around to see Crescentmoon place a mouse in front of him. He smiled warmly as she seemed to be bursting with energy.
"I have something to tell you," they both said at the same time. Both looked at each other for a few moments, and he gestured for her to go first.
"You'll never believe it. I ran into Runningblaze while I was out hunting, so we hunted together. I never told you before, but I really admire him, and today he told me that he loves me! I'm so happy Stitchpelt I'm going to be with the cat of my dreams! Uh, Stitchpelt?"
But Stitchpelt had stopped listening when she'd said that Runningblaze had told her he loved her. Images of the golden furred, amber-eyed tom filled his mind. He was strong, brave, and a good fighter. There was no denying that the tom was a definite heart-throb. He blinked slowly; how could he have never noticed that he wasn't the only one who had feelings for Crescentmoon? How could he be so naive as to think he wouldn't have a single rival?
"Stitchpelt!" Crescentmoon jabbed his ribs, bringing him from his thoughts. He looked up into the blue depths of her eyes, realizing that she would never return his feelings, and it would be best never to tell her. "Is something wrong?"
"Oh, it's nothing," he lied.
"Well, did you have something to tell me?" She asked still wary of him.
"You know what? I got so excited over your news, I totally forgot what I wanted to tell you." He meowed. "Hey, maybe I'll remember after I eat."
"Okay," she allowed biting into her own mouse.
Stitchpelt bent his head, digging into his mouse. As he ate he began to lock away any thoughts of Crescentmoon in anyway except for a friend. As he ate he began to erase all feelings of love for her from his heart. And as he swallowed, he swallowed the three words that had given him hope for the many hard moons of hard work. He swallowed the words "I love you," and locked them forever in his heart.

Swift Currents: The Story of Brackenpaw, Silvercloud, Swiftstrike and Crystalstar Crystalstar panted as she raced through the forest, Silvercloud, Swiftstrike and Brackenpaw by her side. There was a pack of dogs on their tail, snapping at their heels every moment they got. "Crystalstar! This is hopeless!" Silvercloud howled, above the din of the dogs and their panting. "The least we can do is keep them away from the camp!" Crystalstar mewed. "They're getting closer!" Brackenpaw mewed. They continued running until they reached the FogClan-LakeClan border. Silvercloud screeched to a halt, noticing the gorge. "Crystalstar! Swiftstrike! Brackenpaw!" She screeched, hoping to get their attention. Crystalstar kept running, even after hearing Silvercloud's plea. Swiftstrike looked up at Crystalstar, knowing what she was thinking. We'll die heroically! He thought. Silvercloud, noticing that the cats wouldn't stop, raced up a tree to avoid getting killed by the dogs. Crystalstar, Brackenpaw and Swiftstrike plunged off the cliff. "Noooo!" Silvercloud howled. The dogs plunged in after the cats. Crystalstar quickly twisted in the air, catching Brackenpaw by the scruff. "I don't care that this is my last life, I won't let you guys die, too!" She panted. Swiftstrike looked down at Crystalstar. "This is your last life? I thought it was your fourth?!" "No, I lied to make sure you guys didn't worry about my safety. Brackenpaw, do you promise to uphold and protect the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?" She panted, looking down at the watery grave she knew she was going to die in. "Wha--I do!" Brackenpaw gasped in surprise. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I grant you your warrior name. Brackenpaw, you shall be known as Brackentail, in honour of your father. StarClan honours you for your bravery and courage. May you serve your Clan...well." Crystalstar mewed as she landed in the water. Still holding Brackentail, Crystalstar held his head above water and threw him off to the side of the river. Swiftstrike swam towards Brackentail, grasping Crystalstar by the scruff. The fast-moving current quickly made him slip. Brackentail quickly raced alongside the cats, on the side of the river. "Swiftstrike..." Crystalstar mewed. "Don't talk, Crystalstar. You'll be fine in no time." "No, Swiftstrike, I'm almost dead. Tell the Clan that I'm happy and will watch over them well. You have done well." She mewed, her paws quickly turned limp and she didn't move. Swiftstrike finally managed to drag Crystalstar off to the side and let out a feeble wail. "She's dead, isn't she?" Brackentail mewed as he approached them. "My mother's dead?" "Yeah, sorry Brackentail. I would've tried harder to stop her if I had known it was her last life. Come on, let's get back to camp." He mewed.

Died In Front Of His Eyes: Darkpaw's Story Stormpelt and Fernflower padded together by the border between LightningClan and TwilightClan. Their kit, Darkpaw, padded slowly behind them. "Stormpelt, you know it's been moons since we've done this together." Fernflower mewed. Stormpelt nodded. "Yeah." Darkpaw looked up to Fernflower and Stormpelt. "Aren't there supposed to be badgers and foxes here?" Stormpelt nodded again. "Yeah. But then Pebblestar begged us to go, since no one else would." "She begged you to go? Wow!" Darkpaw mewed. There was a loud screech in the air, and with a loud thump and a crack, Stormpelt and Fernflower were squashed dead. "Nooo!" Darkpaw mewed in dismay. I'll hate Pebblestar for this! I'll make sure she won't forget killing my parents!

Pebblestar's Responsibility
Pebblestone sat just outside the Medicine Cat den. She was energetic and peppy after a good run through the forest. Happiness felt like it was radiating off her pelt.
"Ah, Pebblestone, cheerful as ever. You look like a kit. You'd better grow up before you become leader!" A clan-mate called.
"You don't know that I'll become a leader," Pebblestone called back. She shook herself, preparing to go into the Medicine cat den. Pushing her way she tried to push the thought of becoming leader out of her mind. She had no idea why the TwilightClan leader would make her deputy, she didn't like the responsibility; she felt as though it restrained her from doing the things she wanted. Pebblestone would rather die than become leader.
The medicine cat leaned over the ragged shape of their leader, and at once her heart sank. The cat motioned for her to come over and she did.
"Lean closer," her leader rasped. She did so and the TwilightClan leader whispered to her, "May you care for this clan, Pebblestar."
Her heart froze as the last breath escaped from the leader's lungs. She stared sightlessly at the pelt of her now dead leader, as she felt the restraining thorns of leadership close around her, and suddenly she wished she were dead.

Stormflight's Broken heart
Stormflight licked her dark gray pelt as she watched Foxfoot eat a pika. For moons, she had done this, watching the tom like a queen did a kit. Finally, Stormpelt arrived at the courage to confront him. She padded after Foxfoot, who was just going out to hunt. "Hi, Foxfoot," She meowed eagerly, casually padding next to the tom "Hi," He meowed dully. "Do you mind if I come hunting with you?" She asked politely. "Um, sure, I guess," He mewed unsurely The two cats padded off toward Dewrocks. There, Foxfoot suddenly stopped. "Look, I don't know how to say this, but I don't like you!" He burst out. Stormflight stopped, stunned by the tom's outburst. She then thought. "What makes you think I like you?" She asked defensively. Foxfoot looked at Stormflight incredulously. "I can tell!" He meowed. "I can tell by the way you act around me, how you always seem to be where I am, going where I'm going! It's irritating!" He meowed coldly. Stormflight couldn't believe it! She had liked someone as mean as him?! Stormflight stepped back. She felt tears well up in her eyes. He hated her! What had she done wrong, though?! After what seemed ages, she looked Foxfoot right in his blazing copper eyes. "I don't see why I ever liked you," She whispered coldly. With that, Stormflight picked up the mouse she had killed before and streaked to camp. Ever since then, she had been afraid to like anyone.

The Death of Autumnheart
Autumnheart sat near the water's edge. He was supposed to be gathering herbs, but somehow, today he just couldn't focus on it.
"Autumnheart, you shouldn't sit so close to the edge."
He whirled around, startled by the voice, but he relaxed instantly, recognizing the silver pelt of Silvercloud. Autumnheart let out a puff of air in relief and meowed, "You shouldn’t do that to a cat of my age."
"You're no older than Smokestar, Autumnheart," she purred, padding over to him. Silvercloud glanced across the river, to the other shore, and her deep green eyes softened, "Are you waiting for someone?"
He stiffened, his amber eyes stretched wide in shock, "H-How could you know?"
She wouldn't meet his gaze as she spoke softly, "Nightwing and I were out hunting about when we saw you and Honeytail. I haven't told anyone and neither has Nightwing."
"Silvercloud, you are too kind. I owe my tail to you," Autumnheart meowed, sitting up straight. "How much do you know?"
"I know that she bore your kit, but it's not my place to pry," Silvercloud trailed away, and Autumnheart nodded.
"Well, I won't go into details, but when I met Honeytail I couldn't help myself from wanting to see her again and again. Then, one day I was out collecting herbs near Four Falls when I heard a cry of pain. When I went to investigate, I found her in labor. I helped to deliver the kit, and when her clan-mates found us, I simply told them the truth; or at least the part about finding her."
"I accompanied her to the camp, and while we were alone in the nursery, she told me the kit's name," he explained. Sadness swelled in his heart as he went on, "I haven't seen our kit since then."
"What's your kit's name?" Silvercloud asked.
"It's-"
"Father!" Autumnheart whirled around to see a orange, golden dappled scrap of fur on the other shore.
"Infernokit!" he cried, "W-What are you doing away from the nursery? You're barely five moons!"
"Honeytail told me today! I had to see you Autumnheart!" the tiny kit squealed in excitement. She wriggled her hind-quarters, and crouched down.
"She's going to try and swim the river!" Silvercloud gasped. For Autumnheart, time seemed to stop as he called out for the kit to stop, only to cut off as his kit plunged into the river. If she were older she would have seen, she would have known that the current was stronger today. If only he had been a warrior, if only he had been in LakeClan, this wouldn't be happening.
Infernokit's head bobbed above the water, and she cried out in terror as the current tugged at her.
Instinct swept over him as he launched himself into the river after his kit. He could barely hear Silvercloud call after him as he fought against the water for his kit. His head went under and he spotted the golden pelt, and he grabbed for Infernokit's scruff. He fought for the surface, struggling with the added weight.
A flash of silver entered his vision for a split second before he found himself breathing air once more.
"Keep swimming!" Silvercloud growled as she sank her teeth further into his own scruff. She was probably drawing blood, but it didn't matter. A second pelt joined them in the water, and this one was gold.
Infernokit was taken from his mouth, and before him Honeytail was treading water, her amber eyes filled with fear and worry as she stared at him.
"Go on, save our kit, I'll be fine!" he gasped. She blinked, and swam away.
"Hang on!" Silvercloud yowled, but her voice was nearly drowned out by the sound of the falls. Autumnheart closed his eyes shut, and began swimming with Silvercloud, whose teeth were still deep in his scruff as they toppled over the edge.
x.x.x
Autumnheart opened his eyes, his entire body numb, though he didn’t feel cold.
“Autumnheart, I’m sorry,” he heard Silvercloud’s strangled mew. “I-I don’t know what’s wrong. Autumnheart, tell me what to do!” she begged.
He searched for her to find her beside him, and he couldn’t help but feel pleased. This proud and compassionate warrior was the kit he’d seen grow over the years. This was the kit he’d helped to deliver. He felt so proud of her; she was as close to him as all the other warriors whose births he’d seen and helped deliver.
“Silvercloud, you sound like a kit begging like that.” He purred. “Even though I am not your kin.”
“Autumnheart, you helped to raise me as much as any of my kin ever did!” Silvercloud cried. He could feel her now, as she crouched so that she could press herself against him. “I’ll keep you warm until a LakeClan patrol finds us!”
“LakeClan?” he murmured. Is that where they had landed? Autumnheart felt his eyelids droop, and his breathing began to slow.
“Wait, Autumnheart, wait! Hang on just a little longer! I think I can hear someone coming; please Autumnheart don’t go!” Silvercloud pleaded.
“Silvercloud... I want you to know that I’m proud of you. StarClan has great things destined for you,” he murmured. “Please, don’t tell the patrol about Infernokit, and tell Honeytail that I love her. Tell her that… Tell her to take care of our kit.”
“Autumnheart… I promise that I will.” Silvercloud murmured. She began to lick his ears as he began to slip away. “Say hello to my parents for me.”
A purr resonated in his throat, “I promise.”

Unknown Fate: The Story Of Shadowpaw and Littlepaw After training, Shadowpaw and Littlepaw padded towards camp together. They had just passed their assessment, and they were going to become warriors tomorrow! Shadowpaw looked at Littlepaw happily. "We're going to be warriors tomorrow!" He mewed happily. Littlepaw stopped walking for a heartbeat, and started wheezing. "Yeah." He coughed out. Shadowpaw's eyes widened in surprise. "What's wrong? You look sick!" He panicked. Littlepaw flicked his tail. "It's nothing, really." He mewed, and broke into a fit of coughing. After a bit, Littlepaw started coughing out blood. Shadowpaw glared at Littlepaw. "You're not fine! You're coughing out blood! What happened during your assessment?" Littlepaw stopped. "Nothing. I just lost my breath when I crashed into a tree or two." Shadowpaw's eyes widened. "That's not nothing!" He snapped. "Come on, let's get to camp." He ordered, helping Littlepaw to his paws. Littlepaw padded towards camp, knowing that the situation probably couldn't get any worse than this. ~~ As the two cats arrived in camp, they were greeted by Shadowpaw's mentor, Featherstripe. "What happened to Littlepaw?" Featherstripe mewed in surprise. Littlepaw coughed again. This time, more blood came out. Shadowpaw decided to answer for Littlepaw. "Something happened during his assessment." He mewed solemnly. Featherstripe nodded in understanding. "Okay, let's get you to Hearttail." Hearttail greeted the apprentices and warrior as they arrived inside the medicine cat den. "What happened?" She mewed in surprise, similar to Featherstripe's reaction as she saw Littlepaw cough out blood. Hearttail nodded and started working. To Shadowpaw, it seemed that no matter what Hearttail was doing, Littlepaw was getting worse. ~~ Three days later, Shadowfrost was called into the medicine cat den. Hearttail padded out. "Littlestrike wanted to see you." Shadowfrost nodded as he padded into the den. "Littlestrike?" Littlestrike smiled. "Before I die..." Shadowfrost shook his head. "You're not going to die!" He protested. Littlestrike shook his head. "You know that's not true." He sighed. "Anyways, I want you to tell Redpaw the truth. I'll be watching, from StarClan." He mewed as his eyes closed and his breathing slowed.

OHHHHH! So sad! I feel like crying now, Sabrina! I have been inspired!!! YAY!
Cinderstar's death:
Cinderstar looked up solemly, her eyes watering. Her daughter couldn't die! Not now! Not during what might possibly be the greatest battle of all time! Rivertail wheezed, coughing up more bile mixed with blood. Cinderstar stopped herself from gagging from the stench. She purred roughly. She licked her ear gently. "Don't die, please," she pleaded weakly. Rivertail glared with sightless eyes and spat angrily. "Just leave me alone and let me to die in peace," she growled, lashing her claws out blindly. She was starting to drool. The squirrel that had bitten her had been sick! Unfortunately, Dawneyes had been right. Cinderstar jumped back, avoiding her deputy's claws. One slash, and she would be infected too. "Watch it, I have a Clan to lead!" she murmered firmly. An odd mix of feelings went through Rivertail's eyes, them being unfamiliar to Cinderstar. She winced, and for once, she was afraid. Rivertail stood up, unsheathing her claws. Her eyes cleared up, and she smiled. "I can see," she purred, the drool seeping from her muzzle turning to a white foam. She took a step foward. "And no, you no longer have a Clan, Cinderstar!" she unsheathed her claws once more and leapt. Cinderstar yowled in shock. She couldn't hurt her own daughter! Not possible! But you must defend yourself, Cinderstar, a part screamed inside of her. It hit her like a wave, blood pounding in her ears. A feeling of fear, and power. Cinderstar unsheathed her claws and dealt a blow to Rivertail's throat. She letn out a gurgling cry and sank to the ground, clinging to Cinderstar's throat. The claws tightened, and blood poured out of Cinderstar's throat. "No!" she gasped, fighting for air. She sank to the ground and gazed at the sky, blood pouring relentlessly out of her. As she was about to close her eyes, she caught sight of a starry cat. Windfur. "Windfur," she gasped, and closed her eyes for the last time.

((Erm, thanks and you're welcome?))A Second Chance From StarClan: Blizzardkit’s Story Brackentail looked back to see a young kit padding after him. The kit didn’t look very large, only about a moon old, probably less. “Hello, Blizzardkit.” He mewed. “Hi, Brackentail!” Blizzardkit mewed back. Brackentail looked down to see that Blizzardkit looked a bit depressed. She was looking down at her star-filled paws. “Is something wrong?” Blizzardkit looked up at her father, her blue eyes sparkling with pain. “Brackentail, why did I die so early and Brackenpaw didn’t?” She asked. Brackentail’s heart sank. He didn’t want to talk to her about this so soon after her death. He shrugged, knowing that he would have to explain sooner or later. “Because StarClan needed someone, I guess. Besides, I like having the company.” Blizzardkit frowned. This wasn’t the answer she expected from her wise and noble father. “But still, I wanted to live like Brackenpaw is.” She mewed. Brackentail sighed. “Alright, I’ll talk to the other members of StarClan and see what they think.” He mewed. ~~ Brackentail arrived at the Great Pool. “Cats of StarClan, I have a proposition for us all!” He mewed. Just before he had come, he had planned everything out for the argument. He just hoped he’d remember all of them. One cat, Blizzardstar came forth first. Blizzardstar used to be the leader of RainClan before Crystalstar, the current leader. “Brackentail, why have you called us forth?” He mewed. Brackentail hesitated. “Blizzardkit has come to me with a problem. She wants to go back down to LakeClan and go through the life she wants.” He mewed, as he turned around to see Blizzardkit come out of her hiding spot. “It’s true! I wanna go back to a normal life!” She argued. Cinderstripe, a former LakeClan queen, narrowed her eyes. “But don’t you think that’s a problem? How can Blizzardkit go back down into the Clans?” She asked. Brackentail stopped for a second to think. “You know Dawnstripe? The queen that’s expecting kits in a moon or so? How about we let Blizzardkit become one of those kits?” He proposed. Loud murmurs filled the area. “Why should we? None of our kits were allowed to do this!” One voice challenged. Brackentail looked down to see Blizzardkit’s eyes full of pain and sadness. Blizzardkit padded out of hiding, towards the gathered cats. “Lots of other cats were granted second chances.” She mewed. “So why not me? I want to live a normal life. I didn’t ask for my life to be cut short so early.” She looked up, eyes glittering. “Please?” One cat, Rainstripe, a WillowClan warrior, padded towards the front. “It’s only one kit.” He reasoned. “So I don’t see a problem in it. So, why not?” He questioned. Loud murmurs echoed from the cats around him. After a long amount of hesitation, another cat stepped forward. This time, it was Silvermist of FogClan. “We have talked. And we have also come to a decision. Blizzardkit may go back down to LakeClan. But there will be one exception. She will not be allowed to remember any of this. Are we agreed?” A loud chorus of voices echoed. “We are!” Blizzardkit smiled at her father. “Thank you, Brackentail.” She mewed gratefully. ~~ Snowdust smiled to Dawnstripe. “Congratulations. You have three healthy kits. Two she-cats and a tom. What will you name them” She asked. Dawnstripe smiled, catching Crystalstar’s gaze from behind Snowdust. “The two she-cats will be Blizzardkit and Silverkit. The tom will be named Nightkit.” She decided. Blizzardkit looked up to Dawnstripe. She let out a loud mew, but instead of calling out her mother’s name, she called out “Crystalstar”.
