First of all My live sound is terrible. I'm pretty sure this is my amp though. A bigass pedal ran through a shitty 15 watt amp never works out unless it's tube.
But as for recording, I run my pedal straight into my laptop with a USB, but the sound quality is always pretty terrible. I use Audacity.
I'm going to guess it's my computers soundcard or maybe it's Audacity. But if you guys think you know the problem, any input would be nice.
And if anyone knows any more cheap/free programs besides Audacity, it would be cool if you could tell me their name.
All I can say is try Reaper.
Does the Boss GT-10 have a pre-amp? Either way, I would recommend running it directly into a PA rather than running it through a Peavey amp, at least for live sound.
