Tidbits: Shards favorite saying: "It's not truly a defeat if you've learned something from it", shards while not a fan of running from battle, understands the importance of tactical retreats. He doesn't believe one should take on a force stronger then themselves unless they have some back up. Winning one fight isn't worth your life!
Why Sailor Regulus?: Shards always seems to find himself paired with opposites, and though he and Jaimie share a few prideful personality traits, that's about where it stops.
Jaimie likes parties, shard's is an anti-party pirate!
Jaimie likes ice cream, Shards would rather gag himself..
Jaimie is artsy! Shards is about as graceful and artsy as a shark on land..
Still shard compliments what jaimie lacks as a sailor senshi, is a good trainer/teacher for one so young, and is determined to help him work what he view's as flaws out of the boy. Basically he's like a damp blanket over Jaimies prideful fire.
Not to put it out, but more to nurture it correctly, though he probably does seem like a wet blanket sometimes.

Preferences: Meoww...??! He's a cat my peeps, and not that he's old, but he isn't getting any younger, and usually he's so busy with senshis that he hardly has time to even think about finding a mate, let alone what kind of mate he'd prefer!
Our boy, (good looking though he may be) isn't batting a thousand in the romance department, if he ever does go looking for love it'd have to be someone who could deal with his particular temperament...
Personality: Shards is an old soul, tolerant and open minded to the world and the way thing's change, even if he does still hold some old fashioned values close to his heart.
Out of all the things he's learned, probably the most important to him, is to never underestimate. Never underestimate anything, your opponent, a person, the earth, time..nothing. The world can always find new ways to surprise you and turn you on your head, which is why he's so glad hes a cat! Always landing on your feet is a helpful thing when your caught up in turmoil.
Other pets:As a breed bengals tend to get along well with other pets, cats, dogs, horses birds. Shards is about the same way, he doesn't mind other animals in either form. He's not social with them of course, but he certainly doesn't mind them.
Likes: The occasional treat, or ear scratch, maybe a good brushing every now and then. He actually rather enjoys baths and swimming, getting himself dirty. One of his favorite things to do is to get onto someones roof, or find a nice large rock to stretch himself out over.
Hates: He hate hate hates being stared at. The only thing he hates more is tummy rubs. Shards never wants his stomach touched and tends to flip out on anyone who does dare to do so. If you enjoy keeping all your fingers you'll leave his sensitive belly alone..
Fav Food: Cows and fish! Most meats from grit to gristle, rare to charred, the bones the marrow the scales and fur...he loves it. He also loves sweet peas and Green beans (the fresh kind) And will eat them and the pod whole.
Hated Food:(Cat food? Bleh!) Milk, cheese, ice cream
A very picky eater, he prefers 'real' food, and doesn't go for the dainty stuff. Don't try and push anything dairy on him because he wont touch it.
He also seems to dislike birds as a food. So no chicken or turkey for him! Also unless its green, if its a vegetable he wont touch it...Really if its anything other then peas or green beans he wont touch it!
Hobbies: Swimming, Rock climbing, People Watching
Swimming: Shards unlike most cats actually enjoys the water, fish tanks and koi ponds beware this boy can swim!
Rock Climbing: He loves climbing of all kinds of course, trees, rocks, curtains, refrigerators. For a Bengal making a 9ft leap is an easy feat, Shards personally prefers rock climbing because he sees it as a challenge. Rocks give less purchase and tougher terrain then most other 'claimable' surfaces.
People Watching:
Virtues: Adventurous, Warm at heart, Decisive, Frugal
Adventurous: Shards enjoys traveling, wandering, exploring. His spirit is that of a nomad, never really ever having just one home in the world. Shards is mainly an outdoors cat. No comphy pillows and cushy pet beds for this cat/man. A dirt floor or a warm windowsill is just as good as any silken palace ever could be. Though he does occasionally indulge in the softer things in life, he certainly doesn't mind roughing it.
Warm at heart: He's got a cold exterior, and tends to show his rougher side to the world. Its rare to see a smile on his face, and his features are creased with more worry lines then anything else. Still, deep down he is 'if not a softie' warm hearted. He cares and he worries, he has emotions, he just fails at showing them well. Its a sure sign that the apocalypse is upon us if you ever hear this rough guy say the words 'I love you' without frowning afterwords.
Decisive: He makes decisions fast, thinks fast, acts fast. There's no time to waste when your dealing with the darkness. Shards has the ability to make good reliable decisions on split second notice, often choosing whatever action seems the safest if he does in fact have a choice.
That's not to say that he's a safety baby! He's just smart about it, he dislikes reckless actions, and even more so running into things without having any knowledge of the situation.
If there really is no choice though..hey..sometimes reckless and thoughtless is the best course of action.
Frugal: A true virtue? Maybe not, but it is shards, he believes in needing little and using left. Only have what you can carry on your back and nothing more then that, fate and the earth will provide all the rest for you.
Say you cant carry everything you want? Well then! Get a stronger back you weakling!!!
Flaws: Stern, Emotionally Distant, Rough mannered, Body Shy
Stern: A firm hand and some strong words usually get things done, sometimes shards may come off as harsh or overbearing. His reprimands at times seem to pack a sting, though their all used to better whomever their being aimed that. He may seem over serious at times, and really he doesn't try to be! Having fun and letting loose is just really hard for him. He certainly Isn't a party animal.
Emotionally Distant: He tries to be sweet natured and friendly, tries really hard to interact with others on an emotionally substantial level. Really though...Shards just plain fails at it..Often times he finds it awkward and hard to be a warm fuzzy type, and you can forget cuddling! Shards doesn't do hugs, or cuddles, or hold you while your tears dry, sort of moments. True being a cat he does enjoy the occasional back scratch, maybe an ear rub, but never for very long.
A pat on the back and a nod of approval is about as close as he can get with the whole emotions things. Occasionally, if he really really likes you and respects you, sometimes you might catch a faint smile on his face, not that it looks anything like a real smile, but for him it is.
Rough Mannered: If your not bleeding then your not dying, cuts and bruises and scrapes are baby things that a person should be able to easily deal with. Shards has no time for babies, not that he's heartless or anything, shards understands pain, and his way of dealing with it is to take it bottle it up and shove it down in a deep little dark hole to die rather then to express it in any sort of way.
Shards also lacks etiquette and manners, a 'grunt' from him is often the equivalent of a thank you. Food can be eaten just as well with fingers as it can with forks and knives, and the man/cat has surely never heard of fine attire or party outfits.
The only time this changes is when hes in the presence of a lady, not that it changes by much. Shards just tends to be more polite, clean spoken, and less grumpy in front of women. Hey at one point the guy was charming and looking for dates! He believes that even cavemen can show a bit of fineness when dealing with females.
Body Shy: Say wha!? Yeah odd as it may seem shards has body image issues, he tends to be very self aware and sees himself in a much harsher light then others would. Some may find him attractive, maybe ruggedly handsome, he sees himself as scarred, a bit chubby and getting old. Shards tends to be very sensitive to comments about him and how he looks, as well as to peoples gazes. If you make a negative comment about how he looks, he goes into silent mode and just seems to completely shut down emotionally.
He gets a bit fidgety when people stare at him for to long, and will sometimes glare until the person stops looking just to end the uncomfortable feeling.
Not that he has time to deal with low self esteem or self pity! At least not out loud, what shards lacks in expressive he excels in at introspective. The guy turns his thoughts and feelings back in on himself half the time, and while it's a trait that seems self destructive and unhealthy, so far it hasn't hurt him any to do it.
One thing to never do: One thing to never do with shards is to touch his stomach 'no pets, no rubs, no scratches or cuddles', he's had bad dealing's there, and whether in cat form or in human he really doesn't like being touched. It is his vulnerable spot, and the one spot on himself he views as a weakness as all the organs there are rather unprotected by the body's natural defenses. Not to mention that's where he has his scars at.
Anywhere else is fine, his paws, his tail, etc so long as you stay away from his tummy you wont get on his bad side (Or get scratched!)
It's easy to notice how uncomfortable he is with that particular part of his body by the way he sleeps and moves, almost as if it was trained into him to keep his stomach safe. He always sleeps on his belly, or curled up with his back to the room and his vulnerable's to the wall or a protected area.

I'll probably leave the majority of design deciding up to the artist, these are just suggestions from meh..
Looks: He often looks a bit scruffy, slightly annoyed, but proud. He's not the smiling type, more of the cold dead pan stare of approval type. Getting a facial reaction out of him is a major feat.
Body: Tall sleek, well muscled (A large guy, probably not as bishi looking as some of the others) A rugged look?
Skin color: Tanned Skin
Ears and Tail: Of course the thick slightly fluffy Bengal tail, and perfectly rounded wild looking ears.
Eyes: Bright Green, slanted, narrow
Star: Tiny white star on his kitty forehead.
Collar: His collar would be either a bow or a spiked collar.

Style- Style idea 1
Info: Style Idea 1 is more flashy, (Pst love the facial expression in that pic) Really just sort of pretty and fun.
Style Idea 2 2X2
Info: Style Idea2 is also totally shards, shaved down short short short hair, dyed with spots. Less elegant than style 1, but still full of personality.
Color - A warm tanish brown with black highlights/streaks. Maybe even a blended copper blondish color?
Clothing: Something like this (Pst I love the pose in the first pic) Its an Image! Or

Full Hard studded leather with spiked bracers/weights, the perfect battle suit, and probably more fitting to shards as they offer good protection and hes such a militaristic guy..
Accessory's: Ear studs on his right ear
Extras: At one point shards was indeed an excitable brash and eccentric young cat, and for that he paid dearly. Since then he's tamed quite a bit, become the strong and silent type, still he carry's a few scars from his past. The main thing being that he's missing the middle finger down to the knuckle on his right hand, (Lesson learned: Don't Flip off the bad guys when their the ones winning!)
He also has a few belly scars (In his cat form though their covered by fur) from past fights.
