Autumns claws were deep into the land, and Xanthus couldn't be more pleased to have slightly cooler weather. His thick black, coat did nothing but aid the suns heat to his being, flopping onto his belly, the larger than most lion, let his golden gaze flicker over the land almost bored like, his paws stretched out in front of him, he yawned, large, thick fangs flashed out.
Chobi:
Moyo had wandered away from his family. Not to far though, he could still smell their scents thick in the air which meant he was alright where he was at.
The little lion cub felt he was a close to bein a man now anyways, or so his mother had told him jokingly and he had taken her quite seriously. So now he was out on the 'hunt'. His first prey, the dark gold shape ahead. Moyo stalked.

Xanthus lifted one of his massive paws, and rubbed it down his face, before stretching it back out in front of him, he watched as a small herd of prey moved before him, his belly was full already so they were in no danger of him.
He'd been out on his own, for a good long while, wandering away from his family when he was naught but a cub, his mane not even growning or even showing yet.
Chobi:
The boy inched closer and closer eyeing the beast... lion?
Moyo raised his head out of the thick grass, "HEY!" He cried out, "You're not prey!" The little cub wandered closer to the massive lion.

Ears perked, he lifted his head and looked at the cub and chuckled. "No, not today Im not." His tail flickered behind him as he watched the cub curiously.
"What are you doing out here?" he asked curiously, where was his parents? He thought to himself.
Chobi:
The cub titled his head at the bigger lion. "I'm hunting of course. I want to show mom and dad how big I've gotten by bringing back the biggest prey I can find, " He puffed his chest out, "And you were the biggest thing I found ... til I saw you were a lion," The little juve let out a deep sigh.

Xanthus drew himself up, sitting up he looked down at the cub and laughed a bit more. "Ah, but its not bringing the biggest prey that will show them you've grown." He mused, before he looked back to the juve. "Im sure they know your growing quiet well.."
Chobi:
Moyo raised a brow at the bigger lion and smiled shaking the growing tuff on his head and neck. One day he'd have a full mane.
"Yeah, " The lion took a few steps forward and peered upward at the bigger lion, "I think you're right. But I did impress them with a crocodile once.... " The lion looked at his paws. "They all seemed to be really proud.."

"A crocodile eh? Well, that is something to be proud of. Not many lions even my size will tangle with those beasts." Xanthus lifted a paw, and ruffled the little tuff of growing mane.
"Thats a mighty brave thing for you to have done."
Chobi:
Moyo smiled proud but his ears went flat and his neck shrunk into his shoulders in a bashful sort of way.
"Well... the crocodile... may have just been a baby." Still the boy was proud of his accomplishment and beamed.

Xanthus took away his paw and chuckled, "A baby can still be a nasty little creature. Definately going to be a brave lion when your all grown up."
He chuckled.
Chobi:
Moyo felt his smile just grow, "You really think so? You think I'll be a big brave lion?" The thought of it just made the juve happy. Images of him fighting big elephants with one paw and saving a lioness swam threw his mind.
"I think so too," He said at last.
