Lee's office has a simple wooden desk with papers stacked in neat piles on top of it, and a pen next to the pile. Usually the Lee's Zanpakuto is across the front of the desk just sitting there. There are a few things inside the desk and usually a book or two on hand to read when not busy. The rest of the room is quite bare and it has one single window in the room to the right of the desk usually covered up. There is a cot at the far wall for late nights. There is a small closet directly behind the desk where Lee keeps his haori while at the desk. The office itself is quite clean and tidy even the floor is clean so please take off your footwear at the door. There is also a false piece of floor underneath his desk that he keeps a few bottles of sake in to help calm his nerves in stressful times. At least that's what he tells everyone.

Lee walked into his office and walked over to the closet behind his desk putting his haori in it then taking a seat behind his desk. It felt odd to be sitting in this office as a Captain and it all felt like a distant dream to be honest. He hadn't held the position long and was curious how his previous Captain was doing while at the same time wondering how his squad was doing. Lee closed his eyes and took a few deep breathes before opening his eyes again and looking around the room. It was dark yet at the same time it wasn't too dark and bright enough to see everything quite clearly. Lee looked down at his neat desk then took a book out of his desk and leaned back resting his feet on the desk as he began to read.

Lee finished the book a little later and put it away standing up and stretching for a moment. There was very little going on within his Division for the time being so after a few more minutes he bent down beneath his chair and lifted up the false piece of floor. Grabbing out a bottle of sake he put the floor back down and got something to drink it in out of his desk. After a few more seconds of looking around he grabbed his Zanpakuto off his desk then walked out of the office closing it behind him without a second look.

Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taicho Lee had went by Nu's old office only to find it completely empty which told him she had been informed about the transfer. Letting out a small sigh he set his blade on the front of his desk and took off his accessories setting the rings on the desk and the others in the closet. Standing now in just the Shinigami uniform Lee walked over to the window and covered it up. "Such a stressful day." Walking over and moving the false piece of floor he grabbed the bottle of sake and a cup pouring it halfway and drinking it before returning the sake and cup to it's place then pushing the false floor back in place. "That's a little better." Walking over to the cot and laying down in it he closed his eyes relaxing with his hands behind his head. 'You should probably be thinking about a possible replacement for Nu. You can't just be without a Fukutaicho.' Lee let out another sigh as he didn't want to think about it and just wanted to relax for a few minutes at least. 'I know I just need a little bit of time to relax. Maybe Eriko will be a suitable replacement. I just need to see her in action a little more before making my final decision.' Lee relaxed again as Nami didn't speak up to say anymore making it easier to rest though he wasn't sleeping just laying there.

Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taicho Lee sit up after a few minutes of relaxing doing a small amount of stretching before getting up and putting his various accessories back on. After slipping his haori back over his shoulders he retrieved his Zanpakuto tying it to his side and heading for the door. "I suppose it's time to check on the progress of the 'friendly spar' that is happening in the training grounds." Putting his hand on the door he pushed it open then left casually for the training grounds. (Exit to Training Grounds)"Sacrifice through Danger and Pure Love. Akiyama Eriko, Gobantai Sanseki "Freedom comes at the cost of your fearful ways. Pay it." l Entrance from 12th Division Labs l
Eriko walked gingerly over to the doorway of her Captain's office. She tried the door but it was locked. Of course, it would be. Which self-respecting Taicho left his private office open and unlocked to the public? The Sanseki leaned against the doorsill and tried to figure out silently why Lee wanted to speak with her so urgently. Had he found a replacement for Nu already? It was possible. Eriko shifted idly and allowed her spiritual pressure to rise momentarily in case he was in the area. She did not feel like going all the way back to First Division. He should be back soon. Shouldn't he? Jesus is my Lord ♥

Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taicho"I've paid my dues. Time after time. I've done my sentence. But committed no crime. And bad mistakes. I've made a few. I've had my share of sand kicked in my face. But I've come through." Lee had made a trip to the Archives knowing most of the knowledge present in there made his search quick and he was now on his way back to his office with a few documents. Whether they would actually prove useful or not was entirely unknown until he could properly analyse them. A few of the documents were based on Telepathy and Telekinesis, the others were all possible information on these new enemies, though whether it would actually provide information or not he didn't know. Looking down at them in silence he had yet to change anything about his person including the 'bandage' Eriko had put on his hand. The notion to remove it never occurred to him since in all honesty he had forgotten about it. When he got to his office he would be able to put on proper clothes again instead of just the footwear and hakama he wore. Looking up from the papers as he neared his door he spotted Eriko and stopped for a moment. "I suppose you are here to talk? Very well." Walking past her he opened the door and moved inside laying the documents on his desk and moving back towards the closet. "Excuse me for a moment I must change." Stepping into the closet he closed the door reappearing a minute later back in full attire excluding accessories with the exception of the rings he always wore. Lee has yet again not bothered to remove the ribbon wrapped around his hand instead taking a seat behind his desk and motioning for her to take a seat as well. "Is there anything you would like to ask before we begin this discussion?" Looking into her eyes Lee's own reflected the calm he felt inside despite everything that had just happened.

Akiyama Eriko, Gobantai Sanseki "Freedom comes at the cost of your fearful ways. Pay it." Eriko had spotted Lee before he did her, with all those documents in his arms. She nodded even though he answered himself and stepped in without her slippers. Her first impression of his office was that he craved order and did not need much to be satisfied. Apart from the desk, chairs and closet, there was not anything to look at really. When he returned, she took the indicated seat across from him and expected him to jump into the topic of the discussion immediately. Instead, he threw her off with an inquiry into if she had any questions. Of course, she did. She wanted to know what were in the documents. Why did he wear those rings all the time? Was she ever going to get her ribbon back? However, the one that pushed past the others was the old school favourite, "Masashi-Taicho, am I in trouble?" His presently calm disposition was not reflected in her eyes as this was a genuine concern of hers. Jesus is my Lord ♥

But I've come through." Lee looked at Eriko the calm still reflected in his eyes as he watched her judging her reactions to determine some unknown thing. Waiting for the questions to start flowing in expecting any number of questions he was surprised by the sheer simplicity of her question causing him to stare at her. "Out of all the questions you could possibly ask me this is your choice?" Staring at her for a few more moments it wasn't long before his face broke out into a rare smile. "You can tell about a person from the questions they choose to ask. You are obviously worried so let me put your fears to rest by saying no you are not in trouble. Is there any specific reason you ask such a question? I was not aware that I gave off the impression of being upset. You can also ask more questions if you like. I am still in the mood to learn about you from what you have to say." Giving her another slightly amused look his face slowly fell to the calm expression again as he waited. Lee found Eriko to be an interesting individual from the little time he had spent with her and as such did indeed wish to learn more.

Akiyama Eriko, Gobantai Sanseki "Freedom comes at the cost of your fearful ways. Pay it." Eriko blushed greatly at his suprise to her first question but calmed down as he smiled at her and stated that she was not in trouble. "Thank you, sir. I only ask because of what happened with Tsukiko, after the fight and you were speaking to her. You don't give off that impression." She shook her head to emphasize this. "That is not it at all. I, I tend to be really nervous and this is my first day in your squad. First impressions are everything."
The Sanseki sighed. "However, with it being established that I'm not in trouble, I'm not too sure about what to ask now. Uh, how is your hand? I know it was not necessary but I wanted you to know that I will try to protect you when I can, even for the trivial things." This time, Eriko's hand found her collar. She did not like that Lee was seeing her with it but it had been so long since the last time that she had removed it. Her eyes went back to his and the girl tried to calm down. He was not angry. She was safe - for now. Jesus is my Lord ♥

Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taicho"I've paid my dues. Time after time. I've done my sentence. But committed no crime. And bad mistakes. I've made a few. I've had my share of sand kicked in my face. But I've come through." Ah yes the situation with Tsukiko earlier he should have guessed that was part of the reason Eriko might think she was in trouble. Clearing his throat he closed his eyes leaning back in his chair before speaking up in a clear tone. "My conversation with Tsukiko-san earlier had nothing to do with what you did Eriko-san. I honestly could not care less if you win or lose to be truthful. However I would like to say that from what I have already seen you should think more tactically while fighting. Tsukiko-san may be your equal in rank but she is far superior to those who hold the same rank and can hold her own and even beat a Fukutaicho. So it would be in your best interest to not try and beat her so vigorously. First impressions are not everything. They help to shape how we might see a person but it takes longer to form an opinion if you ask me." Giving another small smile he opened his eyes completely listening to what else she had to say. Hearing what she had to say he couldn't help but raise his eyebrow for a few minutes before just laughing for a few seconds. "My hand is fine. It was only a small scratch and as such did not need the bandage. However I am interested in why you think it is your job to protect me? There is one thing you need to know Eriko-san if you are to make it in my Division."
The amusement vanished from his face as his tone suddenly got serious and he stared straight into her eyes as if to further convey what he was about to say. "Your job is not to protect me. It is to protect those of lesser strength then you. As long as I am alive I do not expect you to protect me and you will never have to. I will protect you with all my might and will die to preserve you or anyone else in the Division because that is my job. I expect nothing in return and you will never have to say thank you. Alright? Before you ask I am not angry with your response." Closing his eyes his face briefly reflected how tired he was before the weakness left his face and he stood up. removing the false piece of floorboard from the floor he took out a jug with water in it and removed the ribbon pouring the water into a saucer then rinsing the ribbon repeatedly of the blood. Make sure to wring it out and that it was somewhat dry he turned back to Eriko walking over to her and setting it down on the desk in front of her. Walking back over to his chair he took a seat again letting out a small sigh as he leaned forward resting his elbows on the desk. "Why do you have a collar around your neck Eriko-san? Do you enjoy it as a fashion accessory or is there a deeper purpose behind it?" Lee's tone was quiet yet interested as he gazed at Eriko's facial features to judge her reaction based on how she replied.
"Sacrifice through Danger and Pure Love. That is what the Lily of the Valley symbolizes."

Akiyama Eriko, Gobantai Sanseki "Freedom comes at the cost of your fearful ways. Pay it." Eriko remained quiet as her Taicho went on about the incident and nodded in agreement about her rash fighting. A small smile graced her face that his hand was alright as she had already known this. However, it fluttered away just as easily as he delved into her real job description. She wanted to protect as many peope as she could though. She chuckled a bit as he answered her next question before it was out of her mouth. Eriko watched him intently, growing slightly intrigued by the kind yet strict manner of her Captain. It was another surprise for her that he washed out the ribbon.
"Thank you," she replied while he returned to his seat. At this point, she would have given the response to his previous question but this second one threw her off. She was almost literally torn between lying to him in the face and telling him everything even if it meant being sent away from the squad for whatever reason. The girl gulped down the lump in her throat and opened her mouth to speak. Unfortunately, no full sentences made themselves available to her.
"Tell him already," Cho whispered in her ear.
Eriko frowned openly but changed it into a more neutral expression. "My name means "child with collar" and for as long as I could remember, it's been there at my neck. I don't take it off even though I think, by now, I should. It might give the wrong impression somehow." Here she paused to gather her words into more comprehensible statements. "My father took my name to heart and like my brothers, I toiled the land and worked how I could to help bring food on the table." Thinking that this should suffice that inquiry, she shook herself literally in the chair and answered the other one, "In response to your first question though, I guess I never grew out of that mindset to help in anyway that I can, even if it means helping someone who says that they don't need it in the manner that I offer it. Anyway, I will do as you say, Masashi-Taicho."
She was feeling a little more at ease. The ongoing conversation assisting her to unwind as much as she could under the circumstances. Suddenly, she remembered something, "Uh, that reminds me, what are these?" she asked, pointing at the documents at the edge of the table. Jesus is my Lord ♥

But I've come through." Lee simply shrugged at the thank you not feeling the need to say your welcome or anything of the sort since it was just common courtesy. He could tell immediately from the way she was reacting that his seemingly simple question was something she didn't quite feel like discussing at the moment. Eriko seemed like she was slightly worried about something and therefore Lee considered telling her not to worry about it for a brief moment. At the frown Lee raised his eyebrow as her face went into a neutral expression and Eriko spoke up about her name. "I am aware of that...." Yet she didn't stop there and continued on so he fell silent to let her get it all out and everything before he spoke up. As she finished Lee's expression softened for a moment before it hardened and he stood up turning away from her and looking out his window. "I see. Well your father was certainly wrong in his treatment of you. You are not a slave anymore Eriko-san you are not here for me to order around like a mindless drone. There will be times when I am sure you will disagree with orders I might have and you are free to voice your disapproval. I am not going to say I don't come off as cruel or impersonal at times and you are free to say something about it to me if you like. Again as long as I am your Taicho you will never be a slave again. I welcome your individual thoughts. Therefore I would like you to not wear the collar in my presence. If you want to wear it elsewhere that is your choice but I don't want to see it around your neck simply because of how you feel it symbolizes."
Remaining silent for a few minutes afterwards to give Eriko time to do whatever she wanted to do or however she wanted to react away from prying eyes. Hearing her last question he remained facing the window as he spoke up clearing his throat and once again adopting a more friendlier tone. "They are documents on various subjects including the ability to manipulate things with your mind and reading thoughts and that sort of thing. The rest is various things through the years that might tell us more about this new enemy. I do not expect much from it however. They likely wouldn't be careless enough to let information concerning them float about." Giving another sigh he rubbed his forehead then his neck before turning around to look at Eriko again. "Is there anything else you might like to know? There isn't much left from the subjects I had chosen and your next statements will help me make my final decision on the matter you are actually here for."

Akiyama Eriko, Gobantai Sanseki "Freedom comes at the cost of your fearful ways. Pay it." 'The matter that I was actually here for,' she thought, fingering the ring at her collar. Of course, he would not have been so keen on seeing her just for idle chatter. This was a test and if one thought about it, there was no real right or wrong answer. The best thing would be the truth, her honest opinions and actions. She had wanted to take off the collar for a long time but had associated such act with an order from someone else. Lee had not ordered her to though. He had asked, as her Captain. It took away from its meaning in her eyes to wear it elsewhere and not in front of him. The Sanseki reached up and detached the piece of leather from her neck. "I think that I can accommodate that wish, sir," she replied, looking down at the black and silver with a distant expression.
She had listened to his other statements. "No, I don't think that there is anything else at the moment for me to know except where do we go from here about this new enemy? Also, I would like to thank you for being so dedicated to your squad members' welfare and such. It's...different." This time, she did look up at him with a small, peaceful smile. She did not want to ask about why she was really here in his office. He would tell her eventually. Absentmindedly, however, Eriko scratched at her now bare neck. That felt odd and she left it alone just as quickly. It would be her job to get used to it, like everything else. She could almost hear Cho's smug noises in her head, deepening her grin slightly. Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taicho"I've paid my dues. Time after time. I've done my sentence. But committed no crime. And bad mistakes. I've made a few. I've had my share of sand kicked in my face. But I've come through." (Sorry Naomi busy weekend >_>. Feel free to spam pm me next time wink ) Lee gave Eriko a slight smile at the collar in her hand glad to see she had not taken his wish in the wrong way and had taken off the slave symbol. "You look better without it Eriko-san. It hid the beauty you hold. Without it you are truly radiant on the outside and inside I am sure." Well that may have come out the wrong way but he had only intended it to make her see that it was a foolish thing to wear around. At hearing her words he gave her a slight nod moving towards the door and pacing back and forth a couple of times. "We will do our best to prepare for this new enemy then face them with full confidence Hei-taicho will have a way to defeat them worked out by then. No single entity is invincible and everyone has a weak spot to exploit. I like to consider myself somewhat adept at doing so myself but my ability to do so is nowhere near Hei-taicho and therefore he will likely ultimately be the one to do so. The fact that the boy attacked Yuki-taicho tells me that there is no way in hell that Hei-taicho will simply let him get off without retaliation and figure out his weakness. My devotion to my Division is a trivial thing and how a Captain should act in my opinion. Think nothing of it. The devotion extends to the whole Gotei Thirteen. Whatever though on to why you are actually here. With Nu-taicho now away from the Division I am short a Lieutenant. I think you have great potential and after training with me will be ready to take up the mantle. Therefore consider this an official offering of the position. You are free to take as much time as you like to consider it. I will not simply appoint you to the position if you don't feel you are ready. If you have nothing else to say and would like some time to think about it you are free to go." Stopping in front of the door he stared at the back of her head to await her response. Lee had just offered her a lot of responsibility and therefore did not know how she would react. Eriko's responses to his questions and what not so far had gave her a favorable personality in his eyes. (Short >_> and yes it is an official offering lol)
