the first post contains links that were already established over on the couch for members homes, i don't know how to link to them anymore as you can't access them the same way as you used to be able to sad
i think people may need to link to their home themselves once they want other people to be able to see into them wink If you want to visit people's homes in the live Gaia towns mode, here's what you have to do..Firstly, the person needs to be on your friend's list,
next, go to the train station on the Barton Town map
Once it's loaded click the status bar in the top lefthand corner, then click the friends tab.
When you mouse over the little blue house icon it will tell you if your friend has a house or not,and if they have where it is.Click on the icon and it will take you to the house, let's go pay Hippo a visit...

Item collecting in Gaia towns should have explained this a while ago, better late than never sweatdrop there are 3 lots of items you can collect in Gaia towns, Flowers, trash and bugs, what can be done with these is explained in the exchange thread, here i'm just going to tell you how to collect them 3nodding Trash :~ you don't need any equipment to pick up trash, just stand by it and click it with your mouse.
Flowers :~ First you need your shovel, you can get one of these from Rina's Flowershop, located next to the dustcloud that was the links building in Barton Town.
they only cost 100 gold.
Once you've got to Towns go find yourself some flowers! don't forget that different varieties grow at different times of the day,
White and yellow in daylight hours.
Pink and Purkle at dusk and dawn.
Purkle and blue during the night
The Gaian day runs pretty quickly too, so there's ample opportunity for finding all colours biggrin
To pick your flower enable flower picking mode by clicking on the shovel tab in the bottom righthand corner
stand right by it and click on the bloom to dig it up, like so..
Keep an eye on your counter, you can't collect more than 10 of any item at one time.
When you have a full load you need to head to the central fountain of each block and deposit your finds, the easiest way to do this is to click on the blue navigate globe at the top of the screen, this will show you where you are within the 9 square block
click on the centre square to take you to the fountain, once there you can deposit your finds with the robots...
Bugs got to Bogie, He'll complain!
Flowers to Yappie and trash to Feebie, he'll moan too.
After the robots have saved your items they will appear in your inventory

Do you have a house yet? Maybe if you get yourself one it will let you in, visit the housing commison in aekea to get a house and a permit 3nodding i was invited to be an alpha tester for towns which was very exciting as people were very jealous! But we couldn't pick flowers or anything then, that all came along later, i haven't bothered with any collecting over there for weeks, and now you can trade and sell the items i'm a bit cheesed off! scream rolleyes

jelly's lazy, but i went and had a look in the Gaia problem forum to see what was going on!
New Issues
* Gaia Towns Down Dec 4th
Gaia Towns is currently not functioning properly. Nearly all or all users are unable to access towns, though some have reported being able to access it. For those experiencing trouble a "Setting Permission" bar appears and does not go away. Cause is unknown but the issue is known.
So there you go, it's not just you, Josie or Bunny wink
They are pretty good on here at getting things sorted out as swiftly as possible, i can still access towns on all my accounts, but only through AOL which i find quite ironic as all i've done is slag them off about Gaia for the last few days rofl

Oh ok thnx for that thought it was just me for a min. I got all excited bought me net and trowel and then it wouldnt even let me play crying
Will they tell us when they have solved the problem and let us in? or will we just have to keep trying

they might put an announcement on the front page, that usually depends on the size of the problem though, just keep trying as i'm sure they'll sort if out fairly soon 3nodding

jelly has some lovely things.... neutral her house looks like a house while im stuck in my concrete hovel...hmmm wonder how much some laminate flooring is... sad

flooring is relatively cheap, you need to go to Aekea, that name is no coincidence!visit the faktori there, that's where to homewares are 3nodding
